Let me begin by saying that I can't really praise Fleet Valley high enough. My 81-year-old mother had to go in at short notice after my dad collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital. They welcomed my mother with open arms and could not do enough to help her settle in, feel welcome and ensure that she
was looked after to the highest standards. Their professional approach inspired the confidence in me that she was in safe hands. They took time to ensure that my mother was looked after and listened to, entertained and challenged to try new things and encouraged to be part of the care home community - true client-centric care at its best. I will never be able to thank the team enough, not only for looking after my mother but for they how dealt with the situation of lockdown, their commitment to their residents and the families was simply outstanding. I will always be in your debt.

As a family, we couldn’t be happier with the care our mum receives, she settled in very well, and this is very much her home now.
The staff are always happy to help, friendly and supportive, it has a very homely feel but still has the highest quality of care and always with a smile.
They have been
doing a great job through the lockdown. We have been receiving regular updates and decision making.
Would always recommend.

My mother has been a resident in Fleet Valley Gatehouse for many years. The care she receives is second to none. She has been supported throughout her illness with great respect and dignity by all staff and the home feels like extended family. The atmosphere within the home is open, friendly and homely.
The staff are all professional and knowledgeable but manage to combine this with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere within the home. During the Covid situation staff have been fantastic at keeping in touch with emails, letters and photos and facilitating Skype and as a relative, this has been extremely important to me.

I have been at the care home for over 5-years and have never been happier. In the whole time I have been here, I have been treated with respect by all the staff, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I believe it is the best move I have made.

My mum went into Fleet Valley in May 2017 for five day emergency respite care. The care Mum received during those five days was excellent and reassured my family that Mum would be well looked after and Fleet Valley was the right care home for Mum as her Dementia progressed. Mum was treated with the
utmost respect and dignity during her stay. Highly recommend Fleet Valley Care Home.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother-in-law has lived at Fleet Valley for nearly four years - she is now 104! (Due to the pandemic we could not visit for her recent birthday, but staff arranged a beautiful cake, a little party and Facetime with us.) We chose it for its well-run, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, a decision
we have never regretted. We are unable to visit regularly, but are entirely happy about the care in our absence, and can telephone or email at any time and are kept up-to-date with any developments, illnesses, hospital visits (eg. a broken hip, now mended) etc. When we do visit we are welcomed by cheerful staff, and all our questions are answered. My mother-in-law always looks cared for and well dressed (in her own clothes - makes such a difference), the staff are kind and understanding and she seems contented and healthy, enjoying the activities and the food. Response to the pandemic has been swift and decisive, and we have no concerns or worries about the care or facilities generally.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum entered the home on an emergency respite basis after many years of struggling at home. She ended up staying as a resident. We have experienced kindness, professional, empathetic and informative attitudes from everyone who we speak to about my mum. Care staff show dignity and positivity in the
way they provide person-centred work style. I haven’t seen any notes but know they keep up to date daily relevant information of those they care for. My mum loves the meals provided and has very good relationships with staff. Mum can be set in her ways but she says the manager and staff do their best. Following the lockdown, which I would like to emphasise was quickly done, I’ve had email updates regularly. Anytime I ring the home, everyone is informative and go out their way to find out anything I need to know. During lockdown the entertainment that takes place on a daily base is fantastic. Couldn’t recommend a nicer safer place.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.968) out of 10 for Fleet Valley Care Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.968 for Fleet Valley Care Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (299 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 309 Ratings = 4.968
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fleet Valley Care Ltd is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 43 registered maximum number of service users is 8.6, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
