My Mother has been in Craighead Care Home, Newport-On-Tay since July 2022. I have found the standards to have certainly improved since she moved in. The staff are caring and helpful and there is an abundance of activities in place for the residents to enjoy. The home is clean and tidy and the residents
are well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend Craighead Care Home to those who are looking for long-term care. I have only given satisfactory below, for value for money as I feel the monthly fees are very expensive, especially as my Mum self-funds.

All the staff that we have met have been so attentive to the residents and nothing seems to be too much trouble. I think it is so important that they have entertainment, trips on the bus, etc so it gives them something to look forward to.

The care my Grandmother received was brilliant. The whole family could tell that the staff members displayed genuine care and compassion. The staff all made time to get to know my Gran and she spoke highly of all those who cared for her.
Craighead offered a variety of activities that are great at
providing stimulation and socialisation. Very clean and inviting home, extremely pleased and grateful to all the staff members.

We had to make the agonising decision last April 2023 to place my mum who has dementia into a care home. This was an extremely difficult decision to make as Mum had always said she never wanted to go into a care home. We toured Craighead with the manager and I took to her straight away. She was genuine,
honest and transparent from the outset. Fast forward one year and Mum remains happy and content at Craighead and it’s all we can ask. If there are any issues or concerns, no matter how small, I know they will be dealt with in an efficient, professional, timely manner. The staff are kind, compassionate, respectful and genuine. Residents engage in so many meaningful activities as well as having their daily care needs met and the monthly calendar is full of events, activities and entertainment that is really appreciated and enjoyed by all. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of care home for Mum. Thank you so much to you all at Craighead. You are so appreciated.

My gran, who has dementia, has recently become a resident at Craighead Care Home, and I'm so thankful she has found a home there. The staff are excellent; all very knowledgeable, kind, attentive, welcoming and friendly - they seem to know the residents very well and always make time to say hi or to
chat when I've visited. The care home itself is bright, welcoming, and always clean and tidy. I've visited on different days, at different times, and it is always a buzz with activity, and everyone appears happy and cared for.
Additionally, the monthly activity planners are always full of a variety of stimulating and interesting activities, all with a focus on health, well-being and enjoyment. I always enjoy seeing updates on the Facebook page! I was a bit nervous about my gran going into a care home, but now, I'm so pleased and so very impressed by the standard of care being delivered. I cannot recommend Craighead enough, and just a massive thank you to all the staff team!

The home is exceptionally well looked after, clean and very friendly.

My husband has been a resident for over seven years and in that time there has been a rollercoaster of the level of care. However, the present management team have transformed the home and I cannot speak highly enough about it now. A care home is like a pyramid and with the right team at the top it
can achieve amazing results. You can see and feel the difference in the environment and this is reflected in the happy supportive staff. The residents are always treated as individuals and their former lives are celebrated by requests for items to display that reflect their former career. A selection of his paintings were requested for display in the corridors, such an extremely touching gesture of compassion and respect. The daily activities are fun and interesting. I was privileged to be asked to jointly chair the residents' relatives meetings and so good to hear positive comments from all present. I would certainly recommend Craighead and I salute the caring staff team.

My husband has now been a resident at Craighead Care Home for 6 months and I know that he is in good hands. Looked after 24 hours a day, with every wish catered for by management and staff who are extremely friendly and obliging and nothing is too much bother in this lovely 'care' home.

Knowing that there is professional help close to hand at all times to help my husband if needed is a great relief to me as I used to have to deal with falls and confusion, mainly at night.

My first impressions have been absolutely superb. I can't thank the staff enough for all the wonderful care they give my mother-in-law in room 21. She has settled in so well. She has a completely different approach to her happiness. She seems such a different person, keeping busy, walking and meeting
new friends. It's so lovely to see her flourish. I honestly am in awe of all your amazing staff. They are all wonderful beings.

When we were viewing homes for my mum (dementia), the manager (don’t think I’m allowed to give names) was just simply incredible and made the whole process and situation a whole lot easier. When the time came for my mum to go into Craighead, the staff can only be described as outstanding. Not only with
my mum but also with my dad, who was struggling with the whole ordeal. We have already seen a huge improvement with my mum in terms of hygiene, eating and energy levels. The cleanliness of the home itself is fantastic, and the room is bright and spacious. If you go onto their Facebook page, you can see the amount of activities that are always on. Once again, can I please thank the staff from the whole family for making this time so much bearable and being so fantastic.

There is a new manager who looks like she knows what she is doing. Very respectful taking the time to speak to me and nothing was too much for her. Hopefully, this is the start of better days at Craighead House. I have the feeling that this is what the people who work at the house need.

My Mother was a resident for about 6 years before passing. She was an unusual case in that she had input/output Aphasia and in an environment of high turnover of staff and management, her care was not the best but under the circumstances, I guess it was about satisfactory.
