Leys Park Care Home

Absolutely terrible service I've complained several times doesn't make a difference hopefully moving next month. I've asked for help 5 times today still waiting.I moved back from another care home as original placement in home was excellent and I had connection to Dunfermline but staff have changed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AVOID HOME!!!

There has been a few teething problems with regards to getting to know my mum and some mix up with laundry a few items going missing but my understanding os this is common in every care home. Everything I have gone to staff or management about has been dealt with straight away in a very professional manner and overall I am very happy with the way my mum is being looked after and cared for, she is never in her room when I visit and is always involved in all activities.

The staff are friendly + helpful. It's like a family; courteous and helpful. Nothing is a problem to them. My mother is well cared for both physically and mentally. The premises is always clean and well looked after.

Overall review is satisfactory, there are areas for improvement. Some rooms would benefit from having hard flooring i.e - wood, lino instead of carpet, as service user has incontinence, this causes the carpet to smell. Therefore unpleasant to visit in the room. There are activities provided but when not the resident tend to just sleep, as not much for them to do, cinema room would be good.

I am very happy with the home as it is within walking distance for my elderly mother to visit my father. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My dad has settled in from his arrival in Oct'25. He does sometimes say his dinner can be a bit cold so perhaps the plates could be warmed or food on plate heated in microwave. Overall I'm quite happy.

I am satisfied with my husbands care in Leys Park. Management and staff have his best interests at heart and do their best to keep him safe well and contented. He eats well which is a blessing and doesn't often leave any food. However one small point as food is served on cold plates it quickly cools and if they could be warmed before serving would be a benefit when better weather comes getting out in fresh air would also help.

We're very pleased with the home - care. Very clean and pleasant staff.

Very good staff, friendly always smiling. My mum has been here for 2 years now and I have no complaints about how she has been cared for.

Husband has been resident for over 3 years, he is well-looked after, well-fed and entertained.

Staff are excellent in caring for residents. Good range of activities on offer. Would benefit from having transport to take residents out on trips instead of using local bus facilities. Rooms are clean and well equipped, some areas i.e lounge could do with being updated, and would be good if some security for other residents entering rooms was put in place.

Very good care given to residents and care given with patience and love. This home has developed into a place of very good care and attention given to residents.

As a family we are delighted with the care out father receives from all the staff. He is treated with dignity and compassion.

The staff at Leys Park know my sister-in-law well and are very good at working out what she needs and wants (she is unable to verbalise her needs). The staff are very caring and responsive to her needs.

Nothing is any trouble, all staff members are on first-name terms with the family.

All staff are very helpful and if I have any concerns they help to resolve my concerns.

My mum was in the dementia area, she went there after falling at home she was in there for nearly two years they were good with my mum and the staff were brilliant could not fault the manager for how lovely and friendly she is. I would like to thank you for looking after my mum.

For too long, important, basic training had been let slip - signs of improvement now.

Although this was my first visit to see my aunt, who has only been a resident for three weeks, I got a good feeling about the place. The staff were friendly and very good with the residents. The bits of the home I saw were clean and tidy. The management team were very helpful and answered all my questions. I was extremely pleased to hear that my aunt had already been taken out to enjoy the sun at a nearby park. Although it's early days, I hope things remain this good.

My dad has Alzheimer's and is doubly incontinent and in a wheelchair. The staff and management at Leys Park have always treated him with respect and dignity. Since the home activities and recreational programme has been improved my dad has been enjoying life more. He is taken out on excursions in the mini-bus and joins in with the art and physical games even if it's just throwing a beach ball to another resident. The food at Leys Park has also greatly improved since the new chef started and my dad has managed to put on some weight. He has started talking again and can even manage a joke now and then. All down to the dedicated staff.
