The style and elegance of the building are matched by the professionalism and quality of the personalised care delivered. The experienced team cater for a wide range of personal, clinical and nursing care needs and work with health professionals and families to develop the right level of care for residents.

A magical environment where residents are cared for in a respectful, supportive and dignified manner. Management and staff are a credit to their profession. Genuine individuals who clearly only want what is best for those they support. My brother has resided at the home for nearly a year, and for the
first time in many years, I now can live my own life knowing he is cared for in a loving, safe and protective environment. I have always felt included and an extended part of The Cowdray Family. Well done to you all, and thank you for all you do.

My mum moved into Cowdray at the start of Covid. Unfortunately, in October 2022 she suffered a stroke, after a period of time in the hospital, through regular communication with the manager, it was agreed she should come home to Cowdray to continue her recovery. Nothing was too much trouble, Mum was
moved to a room more suited to her new needs. Mum then had to go back into the hospital as she had taken a turn for the worse. I was advised there was no more that could be done for her and that she required palliative care. Once again the manager pulled out all the stops and mum was back in Cowdray within 3 hours of that conversation. Again the manager and the team seamlessly set up a room where we could spend time with Mum, always on hand to answer our questions. As a family, we were well looked after by the staff ensuring we had pillows and blankets and the tuck box they provided was amazing and so thoughtful. Mum was treated with dignity and respect throughout her time with her Cowdray family.

My mum was here (The Cowdray Club) in respite for two weeks. She was treated with extreme care and professionalism. She didn't want to come home, saying her experience here was like her best holiday. Thank you so much to all the staff and the carer and nurse who helped a lot with translation, as Mum
doesn't speak English.

The care and support from the team at The Cowdray Club is truly inspiring. The manager leads a team of dedicated staff who are exceptional. They take the time and care to get to know you. My mum was very nervous about care but they have been wonderful. Food is freshly prepared by a wonderful chef. The
team involves me at every step of the journey with Mum. I am truly delighted for Mum.

Mum came to the Cowdray Club last August following a stroke in the April. I was impressed even from our initial visit to see round Cowdray, how passionate the Manager was about the nursing home and his residents. You totally got the feeling that Cowdray was a ‘family’. Mum’s care couldn’t have been
better. Unfortunately, she was bed bound and on a peg feed. I was worried that her quality of life would be poor as she wouldn’t even have meals to look forward to or be able to take part in their various entertainments. However, the staff always made time to sit and chat with Mum and make her feel wanted and well-loved really, which I so appreciated. The staff were all warm and friendly and I was always notified of any changes to Mum’s care. It was nice for me to form bonds with the staff who were very much a part of Mum’s life. The manager is very hands-on and he instils a compassionate culture within Cowdray. Mum sadly passed in hospital in April. Thank you to all staff.

This was my mother's second time at the Cowdray Club for respite and I cannot praise the manager and his staff enough. Their level of care for my Mum is amazing and gives us the chance to relax, knowing she is in competent, caring hands. As Mum normally lives with us, the journey of dementia is a difficult
one sometimes and knowing that the manager is at the end of the phone anytime is way above and beyond and shows what a wonderful family the Cowdray Club has created for its residents, staff and respite users. I am in the process of booking another couple of respite dates in and look forward to getting a break where I can relax better, knowing Mum is happy, engaged and her every need catered for. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager and his team and they thoroughly deserve every accolade they receive.

Could not have asked for a more caring and dignified experience for my Grandparents. They were originally offered a double room at very short notice and we could not have been more grateful. Being split up after over 60 years of marriage would have been an impossible thing to ask them to endure. For
around 18 months, they enjoyed the care home and loved the staff in it who always did everything they could to make them feel comfortable and happy. Of course, the time during the lockdown was incredibly difficult, but made easier knowing they were being well looked after. When we were finally able to see them, the staff made such an effort to welcome us and help in any way they could. When the time came that their health declined, each one of the carers made an effort to make us feel comfortable, as if we were spending time in their own home. Special thanks to the manager, who goes above and beyond on a daily basis, and one member of staff, in particular, who treated them like her own family.

My parents' room, which obviously had recently been well renovated, gave off a warm homely feel. Meals are freshly prepared on-site and my parents always raved about the quality. A nice touch is that they bake birthday cakes for every resident. My parents moved into the Cowdray Club at the start of
the first Covid lockdown, during which the staff needed to change PPE between rooms. Despite this, they were continually cheery and helpful. I have not met more friendly/caring people and you cannot hope to have a better care home manager than this. Himself a nurse, he really gives his heart and soul to make life at the Cowdray Club the best it can possibly be for the residents, relatives and staff. The culture that he has installed can certainly be felt and I am grateful that he was the one in charge of caring for my parents. After 18 Months at the Cowdray Club both of my parents have now passed, but their final "home" was certainly a terrific one. My thanks go out to all the team!

My Nannie was lucky enough to spend 4 months in the Cowdray Club where she received the most amazing care from the day she went in, until her very last. The manager and each and every one of his team work so incredibly hard and all have the most caring nature, both for the residents as well as the family
visiting. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, especially for the care, support and compassion we all received towards the end. We cannot thank all of the staff enough for making what was such a huge decision moving my Nannie into care, an absolute pleasure.

My mum stayed in The Cowdray Club for a period of 1 year. From the time she went in until her death in early August 2021, she was treated with respect and caring from all the staff. The manager leads a brilliant team. Thanks to two members of staff, in particular, for Mum's last night and for phoning
me to come in, when she was failing. When Mum had to go into a care home and with Covid rearing it’s ugly head, the manager was great on the telephone and showing me around The Cowdray Club by WhatsApp. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to all. Love Hazel.

In November last year, my wife entered Cowdray. It was a massively emotional and psychologically stressful time for both my wife and myself. So much has happened since then. But throughout it all, the staff have been so supportive. A few teething problems at the start but quickly sorted out. It's been
a big rollercoaster. I'm glad to say now that my wife has settled and it's thanks to all the staff involved. The carers, nurses and managers all do a great job. I know I've not been the easiest person to deal with but they have shown great patience. Thank you all.

Dad was lucky enough to secure a place at the Cowdray Club following a 4 month stint
in hospital and was unable to live independently following this. He was welcomed into the home by the very caring and kind staff which made the transition easier. He very quickly became part of the family there. He
even became the resident DJ on a couple of occasions at the age of 91. He was treated with dignity and respect by all who cared for him. I have to say a huge thank you to the staff and in particular the Manager, who is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met. This has filtered down through the staff and they are an excellent team.

Dad moved into the Cowdray Club in May 2019 when it was undergoing a major refurbishment. This impacted on both staff and residents. Fast forward 2 years and now in the hands of a dedicated, hardworking and most of all, compassionate manager, the hardworking team have made this home resemble a home
from home. New layout, pictures on the wall and a super new TV that can be seen by all. During Covid restrictions, the welfare of their residents was and still is, paramount. Although we could not see Dad personally, the staff were always so helpful in arranging telephone /FaceTime calls which we were always so grateful to receive. Also, window visits, if we were ever passing by. Seeing and knowing Dad was being well looked after in these difficult times put our minds at rest. A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the whole team at the Cowdray Club as you do make the Cowdray a bit special to all who stay there. Our thanks also to the other residents who Dad now sees as his friends.

The Cowdray Club have been outstanding towards Mum and me in what has been a difficult few months. The dignity, compassion and high standard of care shown by the whole Cowdray team displays a genuine desire to go above and beyond for the residents and the families in their care. The manager is driven
to provide the best possible experience for the residents in what has been an extraordinarily difficult period during the pandemic. I will never know how he and his staff come to work every day and continue to care for everyone the way they do in an ever-changing situation. He is always available, and his genuine desire to help, support and understand the huge variety of needs he and his staff cater for on a daily basis is exemplary. Mum has always been resistant to the idea of going into a care home, but when she was offered the opportunity of a week respite, she was happy to try it out.
She loved the experience and felt really looked after and treated with genuine kindness. Although she still wants to live in her own home, she
would be very happy to go back to The Cowdray for more respite in the future. She said it was like being on holiday.
The staff are helpful and caring, and there was always a good feel in the home.
The manager is very dedicated and puts the residents' needs first. Great home!

My mum moved into The Cowdray Club in April 2020, at what was clearly an extremely challenging time for residents, their families and The Cowdray team.
In spite of the huge challenges of the last twelve months, the team have excelled in their dedication to providing care and a fantastic atmosphere
for their residents. Given some of the dark times and personal sacrifice during this period, it is all the more remarkable that they have continued to achieve this.
The way in which the team engage with my mum and other residents alike is quite something and is, in no small part, down to the excellent stewardship of the manager.
Most surprisingly, this care and attention visibly extend to the relatives of all residents, and I feel very privileged to have struck up a great relationship with the team. Any relative with a family member in care will appreciate just how important that relationship is.
Well done to everyone in The Cowdray team. Simply first class!
