The care shown to my mother over the 18 months she was resident was exceptional.

Everyone had time for her and for us as a family. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering care for a relative.

My sister was transferred from the hospital to Lammemuir on 26th September. The staff clearly knew all about her problems before she arrived She has miraculously survived brittle insulin dependent diabetes for 68 years. She had a multitude of nursing and medical problems. The positive approach to all of this by the staff was almost overwhelming for us as a family - and many of the family have been doctors and nurses for years so do have some knowledge of how people should be treated!

My sister passed away very peacefully on 16th October she had been treated with genuine compassion and dignity.

Lammermuir is an old building + showing its age! Since the home has been taken over by the new company I see a marked difference in the change in maintenance + a positive improvement to the facilities + furnishing/decoration. Now I can progress.

Excellent, friendly/professional staff. I am satisfied that my wife is being cared for in an appropriate setting.

I am more than happy with the care being provided to my mother. Friendly, helpful, caring staff are providing excellent resident centered individual care with social, entertainment and activity sessions as well as physical and psychological support involving outside support agencies. Visits from chiropody, hairdressing and opticians have been routinely organised, The atmosphere is relaxed with open visiting (including pets). Communication is good with regular staff/ relative meetings.

Mum has been a resident of Lammermuir House for almost a year now and has settled well thanks to the amazing care that she has received. All staff have been very supportive and helpful. Mum often comments about how much she loves her amazing sea views and that she enjoys the food. Mum also enjoys sitting in the social areas and can take part in planned activities if she wants to. I am very reassured that mum is receiving the very best care that she needs at this time in her life.

Lovely little care home with stunning sea views.
The building which is situated next to the beach is a perfect size, not too big that the residents are lost in the crowd and not too small that they are all crammed in together.
It's great that they have a choice of lounges to sit in with sea views, and the communal area always has music playing.
The food is of a good standard, with a choice of two meals on the menu which can be adapted to dietary requirements.
The staff are always on the go, but never too busy that they can't sit down for a chat/cup of tea or even a dance with the residents.
They do a fantastic job and really make the effort to make the residents feel like they're home and are one big family.
Mum loves it there, and it has given us all great peace of mind that she's
happy.

And to be honest, with those views, I wouldn't mind a room there myself!

My mother has now been at Lammernuir for nearly three years. During this time she has been cared for with unfailing professional expertise and great kindness. She has had spells of ill health and each time staff have acted with speed and great efficiency. I trust them completely.

I have nothing but praise for Lammernuir. All the staff, whatever their role are kind, cheerful and compassionate to residents and relatives alike. My mother is very fortunate to be a resident.

Lovely staff and management, always a pleasure to help you with anything.

So happy both my parents are in Lammermuir because I know they are getting well looked after. Homemade meals and plenty of cups of tea and homemade cakes to enjoy. The care home is spacious and very clean and a lovely feeling when you pop in, always someone to speak to and let you know how parents are getting on. Day trips and plenty of activities every day to enjoy. Beautiful views and so relaxing. Mum and Dad have been made to feel very welcome and can’t praise the care home enough. Thank you.

Both my parents have been lucky to find a place in Lammermuir House Care Home. The manager is wonderful and helpful and all of his staff are so friendly and welcoming. When we arrived every one of the staff came to say hello and introduced themselves. The staff are always very welcoming and make myself and sister feel part of the care.
The home is spotless, with no nasty smells anywhere. The food is also good and always available is a cuppa and home baking. In the past, the home didn't have a good reputation but the new team has turned everything around and has done fabulous work towards getting better reports from The care commission.
There is a good range of activities for the residents and they also have the use of a minibus, our mum loved going out to see the Lamas. We feel that our parents have settled in well and feel if we ever need help with anything they would deal with it.

This is the only home in the area that does what they say on the tin.

My mother has been a resident at Lammermuir for 8 years. The care and services are fantastic. The staff perform theme days 2 or 3 times a month which can be Mexican, Italian, French night etc with the appropriate food, drink, costumes, guest artists including celebrity impersonators, animals for the residents to pet, magic shows. Lammermuir has a mini bus and the staff take the residents to local fish and chip shops and cafes. All this is far above expectations and gives residents enjoyment in life. Lammermuir has beautiful gardens to take exercise with wonderful views over the Firth of Forth. Photographs and videos of the residents and staff doing outdoor and indoor activities with them are shown on social media almost every day and reassures their families of the quality of life they are having. We have every confidence in everyone looking after her and give a 5-star hotel status. A big thank you to all the staff for making this happen. Thanks again to all the team for the tremendous work you do.

Top marks - Lammermuir House is an excellent care home and Mum is very well cared for and involved in many activities if she so chooses. There is a choice of lounge areas to sit in, lovely views from the windows and it is a nice open space that doesn't feel too crowded. Communal areas have recently been nicely re-decorated and have new chairs and furniture. As a long-term resident, the family have been very happy with Mum's care and the lovely staff. Her clothes and bed sheets are always nice and clean and housekeeping staff keep her room lovely and tidy. Highly recommended.

Very happy my dad is in this home. We live quite far away and can only get up to visit around once a month, knowing he is so well cared for is very comforting. The team are always kind, considerate, and welcoming. I love that they do so many activities and keep dad occupied. It is great being able to see regular photos on social media of everything they have been doing. The whole team are great. His carers, in particular, are very good with my dad and they always keep us informed and are welcoming and reassuring.

I can't speak highly enough of all the staff that both my mother and I have encountered whilst she has been in Lammermuir House Care Home. Everyone, without exception has been very polite, courteous and extremely helpful, looking after my mother's needs.
The facility provides everything that my mother needs. The food and the choices are varied, nutritional and tasty.

My mother has said on numerous occasions how lucky she has been to be in such a quality and lovely care home.

I found the home bright and friendly. The staff are all very helpful, welcoming and seemed to be giving my husband the attention that he needs. He has seemed to have settled in and is comfortable most of the time apart from when he needs to be hoisted. Special arrangements were made to celebrate his 90th birthday. The room is bright and with two windows where he has plenty of light to read and see outside. Staff have been very helpful in enabling us to have contact by facetime when we are not able to visit which keeps us in touch. He enjoys the food and arrangements were made for him to have a special recliner made for his dimensions. The staff are good at keeping him company.

The two carers go above and beyond the call of duty in caring for my father. We have also seen firsthand the level of care that was provided for other residents which is of the highest order. His two carers are the names he remembers most and it is due to their professionalism and high standards of care that this is the case. We know that under their care, my father is extremely well looked after which helps us sleep at night.
