Dad has been in the care home for over 3 years. Recently he has had a decline in health because of Alzheimer's disease and is more times in bed. The carers are wonderful and very attentive to him and know how he works as he can be difficult getting his personal care done. They know if he doesn't eat they can provide his favourite biscuits. This includes the domestic staff as well. Always made to feel welcome when I visit dad and get updates on what his daily routine has been good or bad.

My mum has been here for nearly 5 years and she is so happy, which makes me happy! She loves everyone here, and they love her. I am always kept informed of any issues which are quickly resolved. She likes to be involved in whats happening, which is nice to see. It really feels like an extended family.

Dad has been at Tyneholm for over two years. All the carers know dad and accommodate his needs which can sometimes be a challenge . The carers are warm and friendly and nothing is a problem for them. One the occasion I have needed to discuss with the management they were approachable and put dads new care plan in place.

1st class service from all the staff, very welcoming from the moment you step inside, staff always there to chat to you if you want or ask any questions, good to know that my mum is safe and content in the home, enjoy a wee chat with staff, food excellent, they have my mum's wellbeing perfect, she can't ask for anything better, thanks to all staff you're great, keep up the good work, management always there, doors always open if you need them for anything which is very reassuring from my perspective thanks once again for keeping Mum safe and happy.

Overall care is adequate, personally I feel carers aren't offered fair pay for the work they do. Maybe if they were paid more they would stay. My mum has just become bedridden and unable to feed herself so has become reliant more on the carers, some days I feel there isn't enough staff on to give the time that she now requires, they are sometimes the only company that she has. She has nothing to enrich her life.

Due to my uncle's health deteriorating and dementia getting worse, it was decided after a short stay in hospital that it was best for him to go to a care home. Sadly, due to Covid rules, he had to go to another care home for a short while but he did not settle and I was not happy with the level of care he received. So when the time came for him to move to Tyneholme Stables Care Home, I was really worried about how it was all going to work out, I need not have stressed myself as the treatment he received here was second to none, within less than 24 hours he was settled and starting to show signs of his old personality coming back. It was brilliant seeing him smile and even singing again and able to capture these moments on video. Sadly, he passed away in October but I cannot thank Tyneholme enough for making his last few months happy. He was well looked after, especially by three members of staff, he loved them right up to the end and they treated him like their own uncle which was a great comfort to the family.

The staff work hard to keep Dad safe and comfortable. They are caring, kind and respectful and welcoming when I visit. A lot of effort is being made to provide a range of activities and to upgrade the fabric of the home. It gives me peace of mind to know he is being looked after here.

All of the staff at the home are friendly, caring and efficient at their jobs. I am always impressed by how many activities the staff put on for the residents and the regular relatives.

The new manager has put a lot of effort into making the home look more cheerful, it’s also lovely to see the Tyneholm Stables Facebook page with photos of the residents' activities and employee of the month.

When myself and my Aunt visited Tyneholm to review the facility to see if it was the right place for my Gran, it was without question that it was. It had a warm home-like feel to it. And after a while of getting to know people, I think that the warm home feeling is all thanks to the amazing staff who treat the residents like their own family. It brings a sense of relief knowing that my Gran is well cared for and looked after. My Gran has now been there for a few years and she's happy, you can see it in her face. She might not know who I am anymore (dementia) but I know she knows her second family. Thanks for all you do.

My Mother has resided in Tyneholm Stables for over three years. She has Alzheimer’s disease and can be very loving or very challenging. I have found the staff here to be caring and able to cope with her good times and bad.
The residents, if able, can sit outside in one of the three safe outside spaces and they have trips out in the minibus and lots of entertainment, plus activities in the home. There is no restriction to visiting or taking your loved ones out for the day or just for a walk (apart from Covid of course). The food always looks good and the rooms are as homely as you can get in a care home setting. The staff worked tirelessly during Covid to keep things as normal as possible and kept me updated all the way. They provided video links etc to keep in touch with loved ones too. Residents can have their hair done or chiropody etc.

I do not believe any care home is 100% perfect but I trust Tyneholm Stables with my Mum and that says it all. I sleep well knowing she is safe.

My mother has been a member of the Tyneholm family for 4 years. The staff are amazing and they treat her like she is their mother, which gives me peace of mind every week when I leave her after my visits. They are loving, caring and empathetic to her needs and my requests, nothing is ever a problem. Her well-being and dignity are always at the forefront of her care. The Management, activities, domestic, catering and care team in the home are first class.

My mother has been a resident at Tyneholm Stables for over 2 years. It was a terribly emotional time for us all, as we were in effect, taking her away from my father, her husband of 55 years. It was so, so difficult for everyone concerned but sadly we had no choice. My mother's dementia was worsening, and my 90-year-old father had the onset of Alzheimer's. He was really struggling. Wow, what can I say? The staff at Tyneholm really did help with this transition. Pre pandemic, my dad was able to go for lunch and we used to take my mum out for walks around the beautiful grounds. He even spent Christmas day with her. The staff are absolutely amazing. We cannot thank them enough. They are so lovely and gentle. They really do give the residents the very best care. They are great with my mum, and they really make my dad feel welcome when we visit. I feel that they really know my mum inside and out. As a result, my mum really loves it. She feels safe and very well cared for.

I can only commend the staff at Tyneholm. They were excellent and crucially, kind, and looked after my mother very well. They were extremely communicative which was so important with covid restrictions. The location is rural which was a deciding factor for us in selection - my mum loved animals. I highly recommend the home and urge you to check it out for your loved ones when the time comes.

My mum has now been a resident at Tyneholm stables for over a year now and all I can say is thank you to all the staff for the care, compassion and love that they show Mum every day. It was such a hard time, as a family, having to make the decision where Mum was going to stay after her time in hospital but with the help and kindness shown to us, we decided that Tyneholm would hopefully be the right place. Mum has had her ups and downs, especially when she first arrived but with time and the care and kindness from all the staff, she is now doing good. There is always great communication with updates on how Mum is doing.

My father has been in the care home for six months now and thanks to the level of care he has received, he has settled in well. The staff are really attentive and very prompt to act on any health issues. The whole atmosphere in the care home is friendly, cheery and homely and so it is comforting to know that he is in the best, safe place at this stage in his life. I would highly recommend this care home.

My mum has now been a resident at Tyneholm Stables for over 2 years and I cannot thank you enough for the care and support that you and your staff give her (and to my 91-year-old father who comes to visit her and calls you regularly for updates!).
