I have been very impressed by the care and attention given to my sister at Meadowvale. Nothing is any trouble to the staff with regard to the residents in their care. A very happy atmosphere in every area. Entertainment excellent and inter-action between residents is apparent when visiting and on social media. Social media daily reports are a bonus for me as I live away and the details and photos are greatly appreciated. On my first visit to Meadowvale I felt as if I knew everyone and all residents were as I had seen them on social media. Thank you, you are doing a wonderful job.

Excellent care for my husband I cannot fault anything. It has been a relief to know that he is now well looked after.
The staff go out of their way to ensure that David is comfortable and participating in the many activities that are happening despite David being unable to properly manage.

They made our anniversary so special for us with a lovely meal and card. I really appreciate what they do for us.

I have not been visiting my friend for very long, as they just moved in recently. I noticed straight away how friendly all staff were towards me on visits, and my friend seems so happy and settled in so quickly due to the care given by all the staff members. Always looks well and dressed and shaved each time I visit. He seems very happy and content. I leave each time, with relief, with the care.

I am overwhelmed with the care and support dad and I have received this month since he moved in. He has slept well, enjoyed the food, been on outings and taken part in activities. There is always something going on. He is happy and I am happy! Medical care and support has been wonderful and encouraging him through awkward situations has been fantastic. Every single member of the team is helpful and friendly and they all seem very knowledgeable about every resident. It is a huge relief knowing dad is now safe and getting the support he needs. Further upgrade of facilities is a progress.

My brother arrived in Meadowvale Care Home 8th October 2025, every member of staff were so welcoming, and so friendly, so clean and fresh when you first walked in and has remained so on my weekly visit since. You never see an unhappy member of staff, always willing to assist where necessary and knowledgeable regarding my brother and his needs. They go above and beyond reassuring my family that my brother will be well looked after and will thrive, supported by the caring staff at Meadowvale.

My mum has been a Meadowvale since July 2023. I noticed a big change in a few months of her being here. She was knitting again, doing all kinds of activities. She has made a few friends who she sits with. The staff are very good and my mum feels comfortable with them. All her room is lovely and she keeps telling me that she loves staying here. I feel more at ease knowing Mum is being cared for and looked after.

My mum arrived at Meadowvale in April 2023. During this time there were several declines in her health. The staff were patient, diligent and the care of my mum was always a priority. I was swiftly alerted of any falls or changes and always confident of a high level of care provision. This was evident during my mum's final days where she passed away peacefully in the comfort of her room and the care, dignity and respect she deserved. I cannot rate this care home high enough.

My mum has been at Meadowvale Care Home for a while now, and I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff are. They're incredibly compassionate and always go the extra mile to make sure she feels cared for and comfortable. It's clear that they genuinely care about each resident, and it shows in the little things they do every day.

The care my mum receives is top-notch. They attend to her every need with such professionalism and kindness, which has made a huge difference in her quality of life. I'm also really impressed with the improvements happening around the home. The building is being refreshed, with modern upgrades that make the environment even more welcoming and comfortable. It's reassuring to know that Meadowvale is committed to providing the best possible living conditions. It's a relief to have found a place where my mum feels at home and well taken care of.

My gran was a resident with Meadowvale for a little under a year. The staff were always great with her. Sadly, my gran passed away while living in the home. I was so grateful for the care and support the staff showed to both my gran and myself. They constantly kept me well-informed about my gran's situation and what they were doing to help. When the time came, the staff were so caring, they monitored her closely and did everything they could to reduce her suffering. I feel like the staff made real and meaningful personal connections with my gran and they made her last year as enjoyable as possible.

My wee Dad is happy and content with his life at Meadowvale which gives me great comfort knowing that he is being well looked after. He always says nothing is a bother when he asks for anything and particularly how good the food is. He enjoys a wee game of dominoes with his favourite ladies and seems to enjoy the daily activities. We had a lovely Valentine's lunch and I have to compliment the staff for all their efforts, they went above and beyond. All the team members who I have met are lovely and I feel my Dad is in safe hands. His mood is so much better now and at the end of the day, it’s what’s best for him.

Thank you all for taking such good care of him.

Been a year since my family member has been with you. All staff from domestic to management have shown a balanced level of friendliness and professionalism. Seeing a loved one, happy and well cared for is one less worry for us. From entering the main door, it feels like a loving family and not a care home.

Five stars highly recommend.

My Mum moved into Meadowvale last December and I was very worried about her settling in as she's 93 with advanced dementia. My worries were unfounded because the staff are absolutely amazing and I would give them 10 stars if I could. Every one of them has been fantastic with Mum and with us too. Susan Drummond
Susan DrummondJob Title:Home AdministratorJoined: 2018

Hi, I’m Susan, the Administrator here at Meadowvale — and I’ve been part of the Meadowvale family for 8 wonderful years, since 2018!

Before stepping into the world of health care, I explored a variety of roles, including Administration, Trainee Recruitment Consultant, and even Catering Manager. The health care setting was completely new to me when I joined — and it turned out to be the best move I ever made!

What I love most about my role is that no two days are ever the same. One minute I’m welcoming visitors, the next I’m supporting the team, solving problems, or helping out wherever I’m needed. I’m usually the first point of contact for the home, so I get to meet lots of our residents’ relatives and build great relationships along the way.

Meadowvale is such a special place to work. It’s busy, it’s varied, it’s sometimes challenging — but it’s always rewarding. I feel so lucky to work alongside such caring staff and wonderful residents, and I genuinely love being part of a team where every single day brings something new!
