Elderslie Care Home is a kind and caring environment. The staff are very friendly and informative. The ethos is very welcoming. I have found the management team helpful and keep me informed about the health of my friend. The standard of the rooms is excellent - my friend calls his room his holiday home and loves that he has his own bathroom. He loves the variety of food on offer. I would definitely recommend Elderslie Care Home.

My mother-in-law has been cared for very well. The staff have tried hard to integrate her into the life of the home. Not an easy task! They keep trying and are gradually achieving!
Recently they went the extra mile to help us get her to a very important wedding. She was so happy to have been part of the event.

As I write this she is in the company of other residents enjoying games and coffee.

Thank-you very much for your positive feedback. On behalf of the whole team, we are thrilled that your dear mother-in-law is making steady progress and also that she was able to enjoy such a special day at the big Wedding. Best wishes.

I have been visiting my aunt for the last year and a half weekly and always find both the staff and Management welcoming and very friendly.

My aunt is very happy and enjoys getting her hair and nails done weekly and joining in any social activities. She especially loves the chickens and sitting out in the gardens when the weather is good.

My dad entered the carehome in March 26.At the start he was very unsettled he has vascular dementia and my mum could no longer care for him at home so it was a very upsetting time for all the family esp my mum.The carehome staff hve been amazing with both my mum and dad as mum spends every 2nd day at the carehome with my dad just watching telly or listening to music this alone helps them both settle and mum can see 1st hand how well my dad is taken care of putting her mind at rest. The staff treat y dad with dignity and respect even tho he can sometimes be a bit of a handfull

My Mum was in hospital for 8 weeks and it was established she could not return home and needed 24 hr care. My sister and i looked at Care Commission reports and visited Care Homes. It was a huge decision for us to choose a home for Mum. When we went to Eldeslie Care Home the first person we met was Heather. She has a lovely personality, very open and enthusiastic about her job. We then arranged to see the room available and around Coates. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff very attentive and residents happy and well cared for. Mum has now been there 1 week. She has settled well thanks to ALL staff. Every staff member we have met have quickly got to know Mum, her needs and quirks, and have catered to her and worked with her to make her new home feel safe and comfortable. What more could we ask for. Thank you Elderslie Care Home.

I can't recommend this care home enough. My mum became a resident in March 2026 to the Coats unit. This unit deals with residents with dementia. The home is well managed by the Manager and Deputy Manager. The care staff are great and treat my mum with dignity and respect. She is always dressed with clean and matching clothes the way my mum likes. The home is clean and fresh and has a good choice of food, drinks and snacks. I feel completely at ease now my mum is being well looked after. I dreaded putting her into a care home but Elderslie was the best voice I made. The staff keep me updated in her care needs and provide support for me also.

My daughter and I visited the home in January with a view to see if it would be suitable for my wife. Immediately upon arriving we were struck with the calmness pervading throughout the entire premises. We both concurred that this place was special and would be very good and would meet my wife's needs. I should say at this point I was looking for respite as I was of the opinion that I was best person and only person to meet her needs. I very quickly realised I was incorrect. The care she has received across all areas has been exceptional. She has settled very quickly and well. I cannot eloquently enough convey my heartfelt thanks to all the management care staff support staff nurses cooks cleaners.i visit twice each day and she is immaculate in every.way. I'm hoping she will stay long term. Three cheers to everyone and thanks

Our mum has been a resident since December 2024.
She spent a couple of weeks in hospital in June 2025 and we were keen for her to get back to her care home environment.
We find the care excellent.
She's had her care needs met very well.
Input from dieticians, physiotherapists, nurse practitioners, doctors and pharmacists.
She has a specialised bed as well as sensored pressure mats on her chair. She uses a stand aid.
She has a large bright and airy room with en suite facilities.
There are also different lounges and bright dining areas.
The staff are friendly and informative keeping us aware of any change in her care.
Although she can't fully engage in activities she is encouraged to do so. She recently enjoyed the summer fete in the garden and has visited the Old Deer Cafe on various occasions.

She enjoys having her hair and nails done as she always did this prior to admission.

My mother has been resident in Elderslie Care home for almost a year now and I can honestly say that she is being very well looked after..The staff are all kind and caring and ready to accommodate any request. The same staff have been there since my mother moved in and they seem to genuinely enjoy their work . Unlike other care homes I have experienced, there seems to be no turnover of staff which says a lot.The cafe which is open twice a month allows families to visit and enjoy a meal together which is a great idea. It's lovely to be able to 'do' something when you visit as my mother is no longer able to leave the home.
My mother has a lovely spacious room , always kept spotlessly clean , as is the entire care home. She visits the hairdresser regularly and enjoys getting her nails painted. My mother is sociable and enjoys the buzz of the care home.

I visited quite a few care homes before deciding on Elderslie and I would say that I am definitely happy with the choice.

My dad has been in the Coates Unit for 8 months and has been very well looked after. As his condition has deteriorated, the staff have sought to keep me informed of the changes and strategies to manage his condition. The staff are cheery and professional and happy to give me updates on my dad. I can see my dad is always clean, the food is of a very good standard and he has the opportunity to take part in activities when he feels up to it. The staff have smiles on their faces as soon as you enter the reception.
The staff in coates unit are able to convey information regarding my mum.
They take time there to have a wee chat with you when their duties allow
I would love to see more qualified nurses on duty who may be in the home and could look at helping healthcare assistants progress to registered mental health nurses and registered nurses with time off for studies and financial assistance.
I would like to see the carpet lifted and throughout the home as it infection control issue.
My mum is looked after well by the staff here now.
They are very kind to her.

I think the managing director should take less bonus out to invest in the home and the lovely staff who have worked here for a couple of years.
