Elderslie offers numerous types of care, with a highly trained team who are experienced in nursing care and palliative care, convalescence, respite and nursing dementia care. Support for adults with Parkinson’s disease is also offered, with care packages personalised to suit each resident.

The home has been purpose-built and takes pride in it's welcoming atmosphere. Split over four buildings, residents have a choice of comfortable lounges and dining areas, while the secure gardens have seating areas and a gazebo. All bedrooms provide ensuite facilities and a 24 hour call system.

Elderslie has its own cinema room and the activities co-ordinator ensures there are always events and outings to enjoy on the calendar and that clients are able to pursue their own hobbies and interests.

Attention is paid to individual tastes in order to make for satisfying mealtimes, while there are also cold food alternatives and homemade cakes available, as well as fresh fruit.

I can not recommend the Coats unit of Elderslie care home enough. The care, respect and dignity they should our dad, was second to none. It was a very difficult decision for us to put him into this home during the middle of last year. We weren't able to go inside and see the facilities or meet any of
the staff, but for the last few months of his life, they looked after him with such care; we had no worries. They communicated with us regularly, and in the final week of his life, we couldn't have coped without them. Thank you.

I live in Hong Kong and the main means of contact with my Mum is by telephone. The staff at Chrysler Unit are very good and set up a Skype connection on a video call which is the next best thing to being there. When I call up I am always treated well and given a full update on my Mum’s health and welfare.
My Mum could not be in better hands. Thank you.

I cannot recommend Elderslie Care Home enough for the love, care, attention and support to both my mum and our family, they have been spectacular. My mum was admitted to the home for respite care. From the admittance procedure and welcoming, until Mums discharge, I found the staff to be caring, efficient and effective. They were very respectful of Mum’s privacy and dignity and cared for her right to self-determination.
They impressed me by the
knowledge they had of my mum’s care needs, obviously having read her pre-admission paperwork. Having retired from a career caring for older people myself for many years, eventually being a Unit Manager in Residential Care Homes, I am very aware of the standard of care demonstrated in homes and found it to be very good in this care home.

My mum was a resident at Elderslie Care Home for a year and 6months. Sadly she passed away at the weekend. I don't have words to express how wonderful the staff on the Phoenix unit were with my mum giving her the dignity, care and love that eased her passing. As a family, the staff were supportive without
being intrusive and gave us the peaceful environment we needed. Thank you for making a difficult time a little bit easier. xx

I find the staff very pleasant and helpful, having witnessed how they gently deal with the people in their care. The attention they pay to the residents finding out their interests and getting them engaged playing cards, dominoes and singing. I always receive a warm welcome. My mother actually told
us how good the home was when she used to visit one of her friends there.

Good quality of care given. Nursing staff are very quick to pick up any different medical problems and deal with them efficiently calling a GP when necessary. Care staff know residents well and help them to choose meals that they know the resident's likes. A number of the staff go well beyond the level
of care expected and do little extra things to make residents comfortable and happy eg buying ice cream for dad which is a favourite of his when he wasn't well and off his food it helped get him back to eating again

My husband was admitted for care at Elderslie in Feb 2017 and from day one felt all staff very welcoming and approachable. Within 24hrs of not being out of bed for 3 weeks in hospital my husband met me fully dressed and smiling, nothing could have made me feel better immediately, as a family we had
made the correct choice of care home. He has continued to progress and seems happy and contented especially with having vascular dementia he is encouraged to be as independent as possible and I never worry when leaving.

The staff in The Coates Unit had organised lunch with my mother for my father and me.
It was mum's 90th birthday and they had organised for us to have lunch together in the residents' kitchen.
They had decorated the door and walls with banners and balloons and had baked and decorated a cake.
I cannot
thank the staff enough for arranging this celebration - they are always so thoughtful and kind.
Can't praise them enough.

The care home is clean and always smells fresh. My mother is well cared for in all respects, staff are very friendly and attentive.
I visit three times a week but if there are any issues between visits, they are quick to phone me.

My mother has been in the home for 18months now and is so happy and settled for someone who did not want to go into a home.
Apart from the bright, fresh decor and cleanliness of the home, it is the staff that really make Elderslie a good place to stay.
Most members of staff have got to know my mother
so well and have so much time for her and her visitors (whilst always being busy with practical duties)
From the chef, cleaners and management - they are caring and friendly.

During my present experience with regular visits on a weekly basis, I find that the staff are very helpful and always available to discuss any issues, it is like visiting a friendly home.
The staff have created a good patient staff skill.
The gardens are well kept and residents are encouraged to

My experience of this care home is nothing but 100% praise for all members of staff. They are the BEST. They treat the residents as if they were their own family. Their kindness and above all the caring they show is second to none and this is also shown to families and friends. Entertainment is put
on for all occasions making the residents feel special and at home. It is truly a happy place and I do not worry about my husband while he is being cared for in the home.

My dad was moved here in February after being hospitalised in January the decision was made that he needed long term care. My mum felt the home was nearest to being at home. We as a family feel included and feel that nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly and so professional. I can't put
