Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad moved in to Parklands in April and from the get-go he's been looked after incredibly well. From the initial contact to arrange dads stay through to him moving in, the care, support, advice and overall help has been excellent. Everyone is so caring and cheery including the cleaning and maintenance
staff. I couldn't be happier with dads care and definitely recommend Parklands Court.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dad has been a resident since July 2025. He was in Elmore House from July 2025 until November 2025 then moved into Samuel House.
All the staff are very kind and caring and make my dad laugh too ( which is great)
I can ask the staff about anything that I might want to know concerning my dad and
they always have time for you.
The food is of high quality and my dad really enjoys his meals.
There are always plenty of cups of tea too, which my dad loves.
My dads room is pleasant and comfortable and clean.
He receives great personal care and is very well looked after. And is encouraged to do things for himself too.
Most of the staff I have spoken to, love my dad. Which is lovely.
They often have event days. I take my dad along with other family members ( when able to).
My dad enjoys these events and it does him good to be out of his room and with other people.
Thank you all for all the kindness my dad receives and the care and thoughtfulness to his relatives too.
Reply from Rachel Walker, Home Manager at Parklands Court Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and positive review of your dad's experience with us.
It means a great deal to hear that he has settled with us here at Parklands Court in Bloxwich, and that you feel confident in the care and support he receives. Our team takes great pride in providing a warm, friendly, and respectful environment, so it's wonderful to know that their kindness and ability to bring a smile to your dad's face have made such a difference.
Helping our residents stay engaged, comfortable, and as independent as possible is incredibly important to us, and it's lovely to hear that this is reflected in your dad's experience.
Your kind words about our staff will be shared with the whole team. Thank you again for your trust and support.
Kindest regards from all the staff at Parklands Court

The home has been very helpful, supportive, kept me updated, and offered advice about different services. The home staff have always been polite and friendly, always remembering my name and always speaking to me when I visit my mum.
I am also impressed by how clean the home is - no smells, it seems
very well organised. The staff always seem respectful to my mum and do their best to address her wishes. I have been happy and impressed with how the home is run. (The rating for rooms is satisfactory only because they are not very big - no ensuite)

Bishop's Cleeve Care Home

from Sarah C (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 June 2026
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5
The staff at the home have been excellent, unfortunately I feel that they are let down. The lift for residents & visitors has been out of action for months. Effectively trapping the residents that are on the first floor upstairs. The service lift has been offered but this always requires finding a member
of staff & taking them away from their duties. Despite chasing this up with Tony, whose responses are unprofessional & flippant the lift remains out of use.
Reply from Philip McAllister, Customer Relations Manager at Bishop's Cleeve Care HomeWe are delighted to hear your kind comments about our team and appreciate your recognition of the care, compassion and support they provide to residents each day.
We understand the disappointment and inconvenience caused by the lift being out of service and appreciate the impact this has had on residents, visitors and families. Throughout this period, our focus has remained on ensuring residents continue to enjoy a positive experience within the home. Our team has been available to support residents whenever needed, while our activities and events programme has continued across both floors.
We are particularly pleased that residents have continued to enjoy the engaging activities, companionship and wellbeing support provided by Terri and the team, ensuring meaningful opportunities for social interaction and enjoyment remain available to all.
Thank you again for your feedback and for recognising the dedication of our team.

Hammerwich Hall Care Home

from Nikki S (Sister of Resident) published on 1 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother only moved to Hammerwich Hall in April 2026 following a long stay in hospital. He has settled in very well. The care staff and management team are so helpful and supportive. This really helps his family to come to terms with the move from his home.
Whilst his bedroom is quite small, it is
perfectly adequate and my brother spends most of his time with other residents downstairs enjoying, taking part in or watching the daily activities. Hammerwich Hall have a full programme of activities with family and friends welcome to attend and join in and partake the delicious Afternoon Teas arranged.
The gardens are a delight at this time of year and residents are encouraged to enjoy the sunshine with supportive staff and shaded areas.
I am so pleased and relieved that such a fabulous place has been found for my brother to live.
Thank you so much!

Sadly my wife passed away in Maycroft on 9th February this year. The care, understanding and sympathy my family, friends and myself were given over the last few days of her life and afterwards was a continuation of the love and care given to Linda while she was alive.
Although Linda was only a resident
of Maycroft for some 10 months I was and still am treated as part of the Maycroft family and I intend to maintain my contact with them.

My wife Janet suffers from dementia. She has lost the use of her hands and cannot walk. She is unable to converse and is totally reliant on others for cleanliness, eating and drinking. She is virtually bed-bound, but the home has provided a specialist wheelchair so she can enjoy some functions in the
lounge. She has been in the home for 2 years this May. She has been treated wonderfully by the caring staff. Could not wish for more.

The staff here have a great attitude towards the people they care for, and nothing is too much bother.
The staff work hard and could do with more help. All in all, it is a kind, loving environment. I am pleased to have these people looking after my mother.

Since I started visiting in December 2025, I have been impressed with all members of staff connected with looking after my partner as I was in hospital for two weeks that she had been in attendance at Craigbank. The staff and other people up visiting their friends, it seems a nice family orientated
care home and I myself have got to know the other visitors very well and on a name to name basis. As I go up 4 times a week, even I enjoy going up to visit my partner now, as its not just a home but a family type home.

The unit has been completely refurbished, rooms are clean and well kept, with new furnishings and fittings, my relative is thriving in his new environment, and the care and attention of the staff is evident every time I visit. I visit once per week. There is always a good choice on the menu, he is always
offered a drink or snack if he chooses, he is happy and his appearance is good. The staff regularly interact with him by name, and he enjoys his days. I am confident the improvements will continue to enrich his time here, despite the limitations of his condition.

I came to visit my brother in law on Sunday afternoon with my husband when we arrived Alan had deteriorated weight loss and his appearance he looked like he hadn't had a shower or hair cut we were so shocked no staff in the main lounge the smell was horrible we spent a hour with him sat at a dirty table
with other residents sleeping or asking for help nothing for them to do to warm staff that did come in on there phones this place needs a good clean. I witnessed a resident that had wet herself two staff member took her to get changed all of 10 minutes sat her back in the wet chair didn't even clean the chair . One resident saying she was to warm couldn't breath bless her not one time did they think to take off thick jumper or sit her by a window no gave her a inhaler when clearly she needed air cooling down staff not knowing how to deal with situations shocking for us to witness.

The staff truly made my mum feel like she was in her own home. The attention and love shown to her was above and beyond. She celebrated her birthday with family and friends and they went out their way to make it extra special. Also, decorating her room for her during a spell in hospital.
Our family
will be forever grateful for the care and attention our mum received from not only all the care/nursing staff but also the activities/laundrette/domestic/catering and maintenance staff, they all treated her with respect and dignity no matter what she was up to and believe me she could give out abuse but they took it in their stride and were always able to distract and motivate her.

My elderly father has been at Millview for just over a month now. My father has complex needs due to age related frailty, mixed dementia and mild mental health issues. Right from the minute we walked into the home to meet with staff, we were impressed by the warm welcome and relaxed, homely feel of
the home. All spaces are clean, bright and modern. My father's bedroom is very comfortable and provides him with a safe, private space that he can call his own. The quality of care is excellent. All staff work well together which makes for a happy, bright and enthusiastic team who succeed in delivering the best possible care centred round each individuals' needs. We honestly would recommend Millview to anyone looking for care for themselves or their loved one.
Reply from Shaunmichael McLaughlin, Home Manager at Millview Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful feedback about your fathers experience at Millview.

We are truly delighted to hear that you felt welcomed from the moment you first visited and that the warm, homely environment has made a positive impression on both you and your father. It means a great deal to know that he feels comfortable and safe in his own space within our home.

We are very proud of our team and will ensure your kind words are shared with them, as feedback like this means so much.

Thank you again for placing your trust in us to care for your father and for recommending Millview to others. It is a privilege to support both our residents and their families.
