Review of Elderslie Care Home from Lynda F (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My dad entered the carehome in March 26.At the start he was very unsettled he has vascular dementia and my mum could no longer care for him at home so it was a very upsetting time for all the family esp my mum.The carehome staff hve been amazing with both my mum and dad as mum spends every 2nd day at the carehome with my dad just watching telly or listening to music this alone helps them both settle and mum can see 1st hand how well my dad is taken care of putting her mind at rest. The staff treat y dad with dignity and respect even tho he can sometimes be a bit of a handfull

Review of Longwood Grange Care Home from Craig D (Son of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum has been in longwood grange since January 26.
Can't thank all the staff for their caring attitude and attention to all mums needs.
Since being in longwood grange all my concerns have gone and I am able to build back my relationship as a son back, spend quality time with her and get involved with activities with her with the time she has left.
I have also built relationships with other residents, families and staff which has helped me get over a difficult time prior to mum going in full time care.

Thank you.

Overall Experience
Ryland view staff are passionate and dedicated they allow families to still be at the heart of everything .
They organise so many great activities that everyone has lots of fun ,going above and beyond to create something truly special and they are passionate about creating a welcoming environment for all. The different activities show a real inclusion of all and a real family feeling. The staff know all the residents and their families by name and are welcoming and supportive of any emotions and offer guidance if the family needs.
The passion within ryland view is something quite special they are friendly, inclusive, supportive and helpful.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the home for your loved one and would recommend you come to view as it has such a beautiful garden and wildlife love it there which the residents really enjoy including butterflies, bees, robins.

I have been to many care home environments but not one quite hits all the areas that ryland view does in my view

Review of Norwood Care Home from Denise A (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Firstly, I would like to thank all the satff within Norwood. I think all staff work very hard and this allows them to deliver a high standard of care. I have been very impressed with the care given to our relative. I feel the staff know all the residents individually and this means they can provide care which is centred at the individual. Staff have also provided support to us as a family as we found the transition very difficult in the beginning. However this has subsided as we have full trust in the staff, delivering a high standard of care and that our relative is very well cared for. Keep up the good work and it is very much appreciated.

Review of Oxford Manor Care Home from C W (Son of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My impression of Oxford Manor Care Home is generally good. The nursing care is paramount in our thoughts for how our elderly and unwell mother is looked after. So far, we have been fortunate to encounter staff and carers who are all dedicated, but some appear better trained than others, some are more proactive than others, and some are more knowledgeable. I believe all the team here do have the interests of residents at heart and while improvements are available, we are for now pleased with the provisions made and the care environment.

Review of Oxford Manor Care Home from C D (Son of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
I'm new to this hole care home stuff, but I think the staff are all very polite and welcoming to visitors and to my mum.
The rooms are all good with modern features. The washing of clothes could do with some work as mum ended up with the rong clothes.

Im a bit shocked by what is provided and the extras that need further payment eg: hair cuts. Over all very plesent place to be.

Review of Ryland View Care Home from A A (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mom has been cared for, by the staff beautifully. They have taken time to get to know her, have encouraged her to join in with activities every day. During the recent heatwave I was concerned about her becoming dehydrated but i needn't have been. There were hot and cold drinks offered regularly along with ice lollies. She is very happy there.

Review of Elderslie Care Home from M C (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Mum was in hospital for 8 weeks and it was established she could not return home and needed 24 hr care. My sister and i looked at Care Commission reports and visited Care Homes. It was a huge decision for us to choose a home for Mum. When we went to Eldeslie Care Home the first person we met was Heather. She has a lovely personality, very open and enthusiastic about her job. We then arranged to see the room available and around Coates. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff very attentive and residents happy and well cared for. Mum has now been there 1 week. She has settled well thanks to ALL staff. Every staff member we have met have quickly got to know Mum, her needs and quirks, and have catered to her and worked with her to make her new home feel safe and comfortable. What more could we ask for. Thank you Elderslie Care Home.

Review of Madeira House Residential Care Home from Casey V (Son of Resident) published on 29 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Since January 2026 till March 2026 my mum's health declined rapidley. Admitted to hospital numerous times due to health and breathing difficulties. Paramedics called numerous times. So it was decided to look at care home for my mum. Madeira House was where Mum chose. So thanks to the manager Julie's dedication, support form all the staff, mum was admitted for respite until permanent residency has been reviewed and approved. But thanks to all of them, my mum is in a better place to live a happy life.

Review of Norwood Care Home from Julie C (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I cannot thank Norwood Care Home enough for the care, compassion, and dignity they showed my mum over the past year. From the very beginning, the staff treated her not just as a resident, but as part of their family.
Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable, safe, and well cared for. They always took the time to speak to her kindly, support her through difficult days, and keep us updated, which meant so much to us as a family.
In her final days, the care and kindness shown was truly exceptional. The staff handled everything with such sensitivity, respect, and genuine compassion, making an incredibly difficult time that little bit easier for us.

I will always be grateful for the love and dedication they showed my mum. Norwood Care Home is a truly special place with an amazing team, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

Review of Bishop's Cleeve Care Home from Julie R (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum went into the care home for 3 months respite care following a very serious fall. She was helped to settle in quickly and was made welcome by a fabulous team who were warm and thoughtful, from the 'seniors' to the care staff, caterers, cleaners, managers and activities coordinator. Everyone worked together to create a strong sense of family and support and mum was quickly known by name. Nothing was too much trouble. The daily activities ensured that she felt at home and part of the whole community. Visiting family members were encouraged to join in and frequently commented on the positive, happy atmosphere. The food was varied and of high quality, facilities were good, standards of cleanliness were high and mum's medical needs were well met. She felt safe. Her experience left her well recovered and ready to go back to more independence. It's exactly what she needed. We recommend this care home without hesitation.

Bishop's Cleeve Care Home is a clean and welcoming nursing that has taken care of my mother for the last eighteen months. The nursing staff, carers and catering staff all make a special effort to make mum feel welcome. Mum has developed a special friendship with the head of catering who helps her keep up her baking hobby.
