Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother sadly passed away mid January but I wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation to all the team at Hammerwich Hall. The week Mum passed away was very difficult for me but the team were all so caring to me and my family, and of course to Mum who received the most sensitive and dignified care
we could have wished for.
Mum had celebrated her 99th birthday in November and had lived at the hall for nearly four years.
I will continue to visit so I can keep in touch with the residents and the lovely staff.

I'm so pleased I chose this care home for my Mum

A massive thanks to you all.

I wanted to say how fabulous the whole team are on Crompton unit , my brother resides there and has been physically poorly and hospitalised for almost 4 weeks, on returning they couldn't have been more welcoming, in his words " I felt like a celebrity on returning" the care they give is second
to none and always with a smile , nothing is ever too much trouble, they kept in touch at all times
So THANK YOU for all your hard work , it doesn't go unnoticed
Reply from Jennifer Masbate, Home Manager at Burrswood Care HomeWe are very proud of the compassion and dedication of the staff in Crompton. I am pleased that they didn't fail in ensuring you and your brother felt supported while he was in the hospital. They've always tried to outdo themselves by providing that sense of belonging and warmth is exactly what we strive for every day. I will be sure to share your praise with everyone on the unit-it means the world to them. Thank you for recognizing their hard work.

Our mother was resident at Maycroft from Sept 24 to Jan 25. In that time she was well cared for in all respects and treated as an individual. We felt that she was loved with all her 'quirks' being appreciated. Her 100th birthday was a joyous occasion with family and staff very involved. All the staff
at Maycroft led by a very dedicated manager made every special occasion very special indeed, even though space is restricted due to on going works.. We feel the care of our mother and of the family during our visits was exceptional. I would note that the Home's close connection with the local health provider gave us great peace of mind. We cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they gave to our mother at the end of her stay. Thank you to everyone.
Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Maycroft Residential CareThank-you very much for your review it was an honour and privilege for us to play a part in your dear mother's wonderful life and the memories of her 100th birthday will be treasured by us all. Love and best wishes

My husband is very settled here. The care home is very cosy, friendly. Residents are mostly together and therefore not isolated, which is very good for my husband, TV and music always playing. The staff are always on hand, very caring and friendly. Meals are good, lovely garden for residents in the
summer months.

My daughter and I visited the home in January with a view to see if it would be suitable for my wife. Immediately upon arriving we were struck with the calmness pervading throughout the entire premises. We both concurred that this place was special and would be very good and would meet my wife's needs.
I should say at this point I was looking for respite as I was of the opinion that I was best person and only person to meet her needs. I very quickly realised I was incorrect. The care she has received across all areas has been exceptional. She has settled very quickly and well. I cannot eloquently enough convey my heartfelt thanks to all the management care staff support staff nurses cooks cleaners.i visit twice each day and she is immaculate in every.way. I'm hoping she will stay long term. Three cheers to everyone and thanks
Reply from Richard Murray, Home Manager at Elderslie Care HomeThank you for your very kind and thoughtful review. We are delighted that you and your daughter felt the calm and welcoming atmosphere when you first visited, and even more pleased to hear how well your wife has settled with us.

I was very happy that Maycroft were able to keep my darling wife until she passed away on the 9th February.
The loving care she received during her 10 month stay was a great comfort to me and family and friends.
When the end came we were all treated with respect and love with hugs from some staff and
carers.
I want to continue being a "friend" of Maycroft and know that I will be welcome any time that I return.
I cannot heap enough praise and thanks upon Maycroft and the wonderful job that they do.

My mum has been a resident at Maycroft from April 2025 until her passing in February 2026.
During her time at Maycroft my mum was treated with nothing but love, care, respect & dignity. From the very first time I went to visit mum in the home I could tell what a wonderfully caring & friendly
group of people work there, each member of staff always welcomes you with a smile & hello.
The staff truly care about the residents in their home, there is lots of laughter & chatting with them, always keeping them engaged with lovely activities. Nothing is ever too much for them.
We could not be happier with the care my mum received whilst at Maycroft, she was treated with dignity right to, & beyond, the very end. Everybody at Maycroft makes it what it is, a loving home with a family feel. We couldn't have asked for anywhere better for mum to have been. Thank you so much!
Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Maycroft Residential CareThank-you so much for your lovely and heartfelt review. My wife has been a resident at Longwood Grange since July 2024 and since the very start she has been shown lots of genuine care and attention from the staff, the staff also make the the relatives and visitors welcome as well. There are regular activities and they also also put on parties at the key
celebratory times of year and in the summer. The rooms are calming and comfortable and meals filling and nourishing. The Manager is very open to talking to relatives and hearing feedback/concerns which he addresses. Overall I feel my wife is well cared for at this home.

During February the nursing home had a spell of colds and chest infection. The care that was taken of the residents was over and above. The doctor was called regularly and kept on top of treatment. The home was kept very clean as always. I was very happy with the care of my father. When he want very
strong they fed him, on top of all other jobs.

Liz has been in Lilford since late December. Her first night in another unit I found the staff spent more time on their mobile phones than engaging with the residents. In Lilford the staff are first class always mixing, talking and helping the residents. My only concern is that the residents seem to
share clothes as Liz's have been missing on a number of times for several days.
I am more than happy that Liz is settled gets on well with the staff and other residents. If asked I would recommend Lilford to anyone
Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Bedford Care HomeThank-you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted that Liz is so settled and content and grateful that you have taken the time to share your positive experience. We do like to inform families that the hand-held devices staff use are PCS tools which record resident's daily interactions, food and fluid intake, routines etc. They resemble mobile phones which can cause confusion but if you ask the staff they will share with you how they work. Unfortunately when residents are living with dementia clothing items do get misplaced or picked up by mistake, we like to think that they will make their way back to their owners and for that reason recommend expensive jewellery or accessories are not brought into the home as they are precious and sentimental and should be kept somewhere safe. However if there are any specific items that have gone missing please let us know and we will do our utmost to retrieve them. Best wishes.

My mother has been a resident at Hammerwich Hall for the last 18 months. She is well settled there and looked after by very caring and friendly staff. The management and senior staff are all very approachable if I have any queries or concerns. I know I will be updated of any concerns or developments
regarding my mother's care. There are lots of stimulating activities provided, and an effort is always made to celebrate any special occasions, holidays, or resident's birthdays. There is a family atmosphere at the home, and relatives are also made to feel welcome.
