My father was admitted to Hill View care home around 2 1/2 years ago.

Throughout his entire stay, he was treated with dignity, respect, care safety and compassion. I cannot fault any part of his stay at all during this period. The nursing staff, the care staff, the catering staff, the cleaning staff and anyone else who I have not mentioned, all helped provide a safe place for the later part of his life.

On his passing the care and dignity shown by nursing and care staff was excellent. I could name a few of the staff, but it wouldn't be fair to the unmentioned staff..

Previously, I worked in 2 care homes. They could not compare to this one. Thank you.

My wife has been a resident for almost twelve months. The home has been excellent in terms of care for my wife with Alzheimer's illness. Nursing staff are experienced. There have been good activities & games. Many of staff have been at the home for 10 years plus, which is a good sign of the way the home is managed. A new manager is about to start (previous manager off for a while), which can only go to make the home even better.

Although there was confusion with Paul's initial admission for respite, once it was sorted, I found the staff to be caring and professional. My only concern is about the food served. For a younger disabled person (not an elderly resident), the food is not quite on par. In saying that, the staff are quick to offer alternatives.

All areas are clean and comfortable. Everyone is happy and well cared for. Couldn't ask for more.

All the staff are most helpful and always pleasant. No matter when or time you go in.

Mum is treated with care & dignity. She has blossomed in Hill View as a result. She feels safe & cared for, which allows us to become family again as opposed to carers. The staff go out of their way to include us in all aspects of Mum's care & notify us promptly of any issues/concerns. The home feels warm & friendly & all staff engage with Mum & ourselves. We are delighted with the move & it allows us to relax knowing Mum is so well cared for. We as a family are very grateful to all concerned. More activities would add to the overall experience.

My mother has been in Hill View for 4 years, when she first came in I thought it was very good and there was enough staff, but now they don't have enough staff to cope. The carers are very nice but they don't have time to spend with the residents and there is not much activities for the residents. Can't fault the carers as they do their best. Could do with refurbishment.

Staff are very aware of my sister's needs & her temperament. Without exception, the day staff are very supportive.

I think my wife has settled in well. Which is pleasing to the family.

My mum's carers are excellent, very mannerly, lovely people. Her care is extra special indeed. Food is delicious for her needs. Cleaning staff are great as well (place is spotless). Rooms and bedding (laundry service) excellent, lovely decor. Nurses also great with medication etc. Overall they have added years to her life and I can't thank them enough.

Staff are great, but there is not enough of them. Care home is clean and I feel the care for my mum is, in general, good. I currently pay £4000 per month for care, but feel I should not also be paying for services such as hair care, foot care and general toiletries.

The care home is generally ok. But sometimes the staff are more interested by their phones and residents are left to sit in their own mess, which happens quite often.

In my experience, places like this are really made by the staff and I am so pleased to say that we have a great group - they keep me informed and up-to-date with everything concerning my dad. They go out of their way to have entertainment, singers, Elvis nights, and experiences and make holidays like Halloween something that everyone can enjoy. For me and my family, they have been brilliant and I cannot tell you what a relief that is for us.

Really can't express my thanks enough and my mum appreciates all that you do.

Again you have my heartfelt thanks for the care and attention that they gave to my late wife, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Most of the staff do go the extra mile. Staff levels could be higher.

I personally am beyond grateful that Dad is being cared for there and when his health took a turn for the worse earlier in the year they were so attentive, caring and professional throughout and I have no doubt that will continue under the team there. I would highly recommend Hill View.

My mum went into care in July, by September she was moved to a different unit. She lost everything. The other unit kept her massive TV, eventually getting it back in November but had to wear other people's clothes, the few things she had, as a carer said they had to go looking for some clothes as they thought my mum was poor. My mum pays for this service. Eventually, after I reported this they bought her PJs. She is nearly 95 yrs old yet they think this is not a problem sleeping in other people's clothes. The manager thinks that I didn't bring in my mum's coat yet my mum needs this for hospital appointments. Thank god they missed her skin cancer appointment as they lost her clothes. Mum couldn't go out even if they had remembered. Never thought I would say that. My mum worked 3 jobs and now has to pay for the care. It is a disgrace that they lost all her belongings and kept her TV until I asked for it back. My mum is just left because my sister and I live outside Scotland and can't visit regularly.

There is always a real good atmosphere when you visit, nothing is a bother to the staff. The morning personal care is exceptional, my Dad is clean, shaved and looking smart every day.
