I have found all staff members to be professional, kind and helpful. The building does need a refresh of pain as looks tired around edges- but clean!

From Day 1 my mum was treated very well. Staff asked many questions to find out what my mum needed to help her stay be more comfortable. Room always clean and tidy plus food was always a good standard and plenty of choices.
Hazel in the office always communicated with us and all staff very helpful
and friendly.

From the time I arrived the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. If I needed anything the staff would try and help with my request. Always with a smile and a friendly manner.

I love it here everyone is so friendly. Food is good and I love the singers. We have a dog that comes in to visit us here.

Secure and safe. Excellent staffing levels and extremely attentive attention to my mums needs. Lovely atmosphere and the ability to come and go at all times makes visiting really convenient. We visit mornings, sometimes afternoons & often in the evening after mealtime. Overall, a very high standard
of nursing care.

My Aunt seems to have settled into the home ok she likes the food and has been on a canal boat which I'm told she really enjoyed and has been sitting out a couple of times in the sun.
Like us all she has good days and not so good days , the staff are very professional and always show care kindness
and professionalism when she's being a bit challenging.
I'm always kept in touch when she has injured herself no matter how trivial, overall I feel she is being well looked after.

That's my third respite care period at Newcarron Harris Unit, as before the care staff were excellent they are so good, jovial and full of fun. I will not go into the Christmas Lunch as I wasn't there. (Enough said!!) I can't single anyone out, as they were all great.
The meal menu and quality could
be doing with a rethink as this could be improved. This is the only thing that I can think of that needs review.
Staff make Newcarron the home of choice it's enough to say "I WILL BE BACK"

My late wife was here and the care that was given to her was second to none.

Mum had been a resident since June 2023. Nothing was a problem to the staff (both in the field of admin and nursing) even though she was challenging at times. She had a few appointments at the local hospital during her stay and they made sure that she was transported there for the appointment times
which took pressure off me trying to get her there on my own.
Sadly passed away in May 2024, the care throughout her stay and the compassion shown to me and my family during her passing, was so thoughtful and comforting and carried out in a dignified manner so befitting to an elderly person. After her passing, on returning to pick up items belonging to my mum, compassion was shown to me and my son by staff who looked after mum and weren't on shift when she passed, they came to have a chat and recall the relationship moments they had with her. To be accompanied to the door on leaving the home for the last time was also a lovely gesture and I can't thank all concerned for the way we were treated.

My frail elderly aunt has been in Newcarron Court Skye House for over a year. She absolutely loves it. She has made new friends, is always busy and has been on several really nice outings. The home is warm, clean and welcoming. The staff are very friendly, dedicated and caring. All of my aunt's needs,
whether medical, social or nutritional, are carefully monitored and issues are addressed as soon as they are discovered. As a family, we are very impressed with the care she is receiving. Really can’t thank the staff enough.

I am well looked after, I enjoy the meals they are good. I enjoy my trips out on a Monday and the entertainment in the care home. I would say it is a good place to come to if you need to.

My mother is delighted with the place. The food is good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. She is very comfortable here, although she has been confined to her room for a couple of weeks due to Covid.
