My elderly father has been at Millview for just over a month now. My father has complex needs due to age related frailty, mixed dementia and mild mental health issues. Right from the minute we walked into the home to meet with staff, we were impressed by the warm welcome and relaxed, homely feel of
the home. All spaces are clean, bright and modern. My father's bedroom is very comfortable and provides him with a safe, private space that he can call his own. The quality of care is excellent. All staff work well together which makes for a happy, bright and enthusiastic team who succeed in delivering the best possible care centred round each individuals' needs. We honestly would recommend Millview to anyone looking for care for themselves or their loved one.
Reply from Shaunmichael McLaughlin, Home Manager at Millview Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful feedback about your fathers experience at Millview.

We are truly delighted to hear that you felt welcomed from the moment you first visited and that the warm, homely environment has made a positive impression on both you and your father. It means a great deal to know that he feels comfortable and safe in his own space within our home.

Providing person-centred care that meets each individuals needs is at the heart of everything we do, and your comments about the quality of care and teamwork among our staff are incredibly appreciated. We are very proud of our team and will ensure your kind words are shared with them, as feedback like this means so much.

Thank you again for placing your trust in us to care for your father and for recommending Millview to others. It is a privilege to support both our residents and their families.

My mum recently moved here, and so far it has been a really positive experience. The staff are incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help, which has made a big difference to us both. She seems to be settling in very well and is already getting involved in the activities-she especially enjoyed
the ladies' club.
I also really appreciate how the home shares updates and activities on social media. It helps families feel connected and included, which is so reassuring.
The rooms are clean, safe, and well looked after, and there's a warm, welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk into the care home. Overall, I feel confident that my mum is in a caring and supportive environment.

I find Millview management and staff very attentive + extremely friendly. My husband went into a home in February 2026, being very well cared for as not the easiest person a suffering from vascular dementia, feel confident he's being very well cared for.
Reply from Shaunmichael McLaughlin, Home Manager at Millview Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. It truly means a great deal to us to hear that you've had such a positive experience with our team at Millview.
We understand how challenging it can be when a loved one is living with vascular dementia, and we're really glad to know that your husband is receiving the care, patience, and attention he deserves. Our staff work hard to create a warm, supportive environment for every resident, and your reassurance that you feel confident in his care is incredibly important to us.
Your words will be shared with the whole team-they'll be very encouraged by your appreciation. If there's ever anything more we can do to support you or your husband, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thanks
Shaunmichael

Norwood Care Home

Our sister was recently admitted from another care facility to Norwood and the transition was very challenging and stressful for her and us her family. From the very first meeting with the manager Sue we were treated with patience and genuine understanding. Every question was answered and lots of useful
advice was given to help to make it as seamless as possible for our sister

We returned the next day to discuss finances etc with Helen and once again we were delighted with the help and advice given and everything was explained

On the day of admission we were greeted with genuine care our sister was taken around to meet everyone and then a care giver sat with her in her room sorting clothes and calming everything down another care giver got her sandwiches and her favourite cup of tea

We had to deal with some sad difficult news this week and Liz was absolutely so professional not only with delivering our sister the news but listening to my concerns

The staff are all fabulous.

Braemount Care Home is very bright and airy and well maintained both inside and outside in the patio area. All staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my mother in law and her needs.
My mother in law is very well presented and is always clean. She speaks highly of her carers and the
nursing staff.
The Care Home always has activities for residents and events for special occasions which families are invited to and are well attended. The link with the local schools & nursery is excellent.
Staff are quick to inform us if my mother in law has any external needs ( new clothing required; toiletries etc)
The hairdressing room is an added bonus for residents welfare.

Overall good, however access in the evenings at weekends and evenings is still poor - sometimes waiting UK to 10 minutes to fain entry.
Additionally the 'day bell' has been out of order fir around 2 weeks - not acceptable
Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Norwood Care HomeThank-you very much for your review and feedback, which is vital to us as we strive to maintain the highest standards throughout. The door-bell was faulty and working intermittently so we ordered a new and improved unit and an additional internal chime bell has been installed which will increase staff awareness and response times when a visitor rings the bell. My daughter and I visited the home in January with a view to see if it would be suitable for my wife. Immediately upon arriving we were struck with the calmness pervading throughout the entire premises. We both concurred that this place was special and would be very good and would meet my wife's needs.
I should say at this point I was looking for respite as I was of the opinion that I was best person and only person to meet her needs. I very quickly realised I was incorrect. The care she has received across all areas has been exceptional. She has settled very quickly and well. I cannot eloquently enough convey my heartfelt thanks to all the management care staff support staff nurses cooks cleaners.i visit twice each day and she is immaculate in every.way. I'm hoping she will stay long term. Three cheers to everyone and thanks
Reply from Richard Murray, Home Manager at Elderslie Care HomeThank you for your very kind and thoughtful review. We are delighted that you and your daughter felt the calm and welcoming atmosphere when you first visited, and even more pleased to hear how well your wife has settled with us.

Your comments about the exceptional care and the dedication of our nurses, care, hospitality and support teams will mean a great deal to everyone. We are especially pleased to hear how happy you are with your wife's presentation and daily care.

It is always lovely to see you during your visits. Thank you for the trust you have placed in us - it is truly appreciated.
