My daughter and I visited the home in January with a view to see if it would be suitable for my wife. Immediately upon arriving we were struck with the calmness pervading throughout the entire premises. We both concurred that this place was special and would be very good and would meet my wife's needs.
I should say at this point I was looking for respite as I was of the opinion that I was best person and only person to meet her needs. I very quickly realised I was incorrect. The care she has received across all areas has been exceptional. She has settled very quickly and well. I cannot eloquently enough convey my heartfelt thanks to all the management care staff support staff nurses cooks cleaners.i visit twice each day and she is immaculate in every.way. I'm hoping she will stay long term. Three cheers to everyone and thanks

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Braemount Carehome. My husband has been in for respite in the past .I unfortunately fell and was unable to take care of him. I knew exactly where I wanted him to be while I healed .Its a comfort for me to know that my husbands needs are all
met with kindness ,patient and care ! The surroundings are comfortable and clean and he enjoys the meals . I'm sure it makes him feel secure and safe ,I know it helps me .
Something else that can't be taken for granted is the fact that the staff have got to know my husband personally and equally got to know me and our friends too. It's so important because then they engage on a personal level easily with him to help him feel at home . Of course I can't forget the office staff and the manager she is AMAZING thank you ! she always most helpful and is always available with a kind ear.
So thank you ALL at Braemount XM

My mother has been a resident at the care home for over a year and as in any residential care there is no way can there be 100% satisfaction but I have been relatively pleased with the care and respect my mother has been shown, I have been informed quickly when there is any problems or falls with my
mum and have a very good relationship with staff.
Reply from Richard Murray, Home Manager at Elderslie Care HomeThank you very much for taking the time to leave this review and for sharing your honest feedback.

We truly appreciate your understanding that, as with any care home setting, achieving 100% satisfaction at all times is challenging. It is reassuring to hear that overall you have been pleased with the care, dignity, and respect shown to your mother, and that you feel well informed when any concerns or incidents, such as falls, have occurred. Maintaining open and timely communication with families is extremely important to us.

It is also encouraging to hear that you have built a positive relationship with our staff team. They work hard to provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care, and feedback like this is very meaningful to them.

Thank you again for your comments across the various areas of the home. We will continue to reflect on all feedback to ensure we maintain high standards and look for opportunities to improve wherever possible.

My Grandmother has been with Millview for a few weeks now under respite care. She has settled in so well and as a family we are very grateful to all the staff in assisting with this.

They have went above and beyond to get to know Gran, making her smile everyday and feeling comfortable in her new

environment. Due to her dementia she can become quite unsettled with change however the caring and compassionate manner of all at Millview has helped not only her but us as family with this transition.

We would consider a long term placement at Millview following this positive experience.

Thank you all.

Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Millview Care HomeThank-you so much for your kind words and for sharing your positive experience at Millview. I'm very grateful to Norwood Nursing Home for providing an outstanding level of care for my mum, Gillian. Very special thanks to all staff for their professionalism and expertise in looking after my mum (who's 91 and has Alzheimer's / vascular dementia) during her respite stay in July 2025 following
a fall at her home, which resulted in a broken wrist. Norwood was head and shoulders above all other care homes that we've used in the past - all staff were friendly, capable and professional. Communication was excellent throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Norwood, this is the most professional and inclusive care home we've experienced and certainly sets the standards for others to attain.

My Dad recently entered Norwood for respite care. The staff are amazing and he settled straight away. He has late stage Alzheimer's and other health concerns and he is like a younger fit man again, relishing all the interactions and connections he's making. I can't praise Norwood enough. We are so lucky
that our father is being cared for so very well. Thankyou Norwood

The staff and services here are absolutely amazing. My gran is socially active, engaged, well fed and is presentable any time I've visited. The staff are so personable, kind and attentive to the people living there. I can rest easy knowing my gran is being well looked after. It was also my grans birthday
recently and they went above and beyond to make it a great day for her. It is always warm and welcoming with a family atmosphere.

My 81 year old mum was moved to residential care in Sep 2025. My mum was very aprehensive and worried. The staff have been exceptional in helping my mum feel welcome and settled. They take the time to make sure my mum, who is very quiet, participates in the activities. I feel my mum is benefiting from
the company & care she is receiving. And is a totally different person. :)

My husband has been in Norwood for some months now and I am extremely happy with the care he is receiving. All the staff, management, carers, nurses, housekeepers, kitchen and maintenance staff, provide a level of care which goes beyond their remits. He is treated with dignity and compassion and his
health is well looked after. If I have any concerns about him the manager and carers are happy to talk them through with me. He is encouraged to take part in daily activities and I have the opportunity to join him for monthly lunches in the Bee Kind cafe and at regular entertainment.
I have peace of mind knowing he is being well cared for and am so glad I listened to the friends who told me about Norwood. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.

My dad, who had Alzheimer's was in Norwood for just over a year and was very well looked after. The staff were always cheerful and helpful, and I knew that my dad was being well cared for as the staff seemed to know him well. When my dad was receiving end of life care, everyone treated him with respect

My Mum has been in Norwood now for a few months, we moved her from another care home where she had been for a few weeks which wasn't suitable, this has definitely been the best move for my Mum. The staff at this care home are the best, the care and attention they give to my Mum is fabulous, her mind
is kept active with daily activities and they also have entertainment that come to the home some weekends and afternoon tea for the residents and their families. I love the social media posts (you can opt out of this) this brightens my day when I see what my Mum has been doing that day as I can't manage to visit every day. My Mum is treated with dignity and I cannot fault the care she has been given by the fabulous staff!
