I have been highly impressed with the dedication and empathy shown by the staff towards my father since his arrival.
He is more settled now and I believe that is down to the staff and the surroundings.

My father is here for respite. This is my first visit I was very warmly welcomed and directed by staff to my fathers room. The staff were great and the room is lovely. The menu options look good and my father seems to be treated respectivelly and with dignity.

Used facility for respite care. Staff were friendly and welcoming from initial meeting with manager through a visit to see facilities and then throughout mums stay. Kept up to date with mums stay and how she was which was reassuring for first time she had been into respite.

My mum recently moved here, and so far it has been a really positive experience. The staff are incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help, which has made a big difference to us both. She seems to be settling in very well and is already getting involved in the activities-she especially enjoyed
the ladies' club.
I also really appreciate how the home shares updates and activities on social media. It helps families feel connected and included, which is so reassuring.
The rooms are clean, safe, and well looked after, and there's a warm, welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk into the care home. Overall, I feel confident that my mum is in a caring and supportive environment.

I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff here, especially Angie who goes above and beyond and always makes my grandad smile! Her energy and positivity is contagious. We are so grateful to the nursing home staff for taking such good care of him, and reassuring us that he's safe and comfortable.
Thank you so much for everything!

Braemount Care Home is very bright and airy and well maintained both inside and outside in the patio area. All staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my mother in law and her needs.
My mother in law is very well presented and is always clean. She speaks highly of her carers and the
nursing staff.
The Care Home always has activities for residents and events for special occasions which families are invited to and are well attended. The link with the local schools & nursery is excellent.
Staff are quick to inform us if my mother in law has any external needs ( new clothing required; toiletries etc)
The hairdressing room is an added bonus for residents welfare.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Braemount Carehome. My husband has been in for respite in the past .I unfortunately fell and was unable to take care of him. I knew exactly where I wanted him to be while I healed .Its a comfort for me to know that my husbands needs are all
met with kindness ,patient and care ! The surroundings are comfortable and clean and he enjoys the meals . I'm sure it makes him feel secure and safe ,I know it helps me .
Something else that can't be taken for granted is the fact that the staff have got to know my husband personally and equally got to know me and our friends too. It's so important because then they engage on a personal level easily with him to help him feel at home . Of course I can't forget the office staff and the manager she is AMAZING thank you ! she always most helpful and is always available with a kind ear.
So thank you ALL at Braemount XM

The staff and services here are absolutely amazing. My gran is socially active, engaged, well fed and is presentable any time I've visited. The staff are so personable, kind and attentive to the people living there. I can rest easy knowing my gran is being well looked after. It was also my grans birthday
recently and they went above and beyond to make it a great day for her. It is always warm and welcoming with a family atmosphere.

My 81 year old mum was moved to residential care in Sep 2025. My mum was very aprehensive and worried. The staff have been exceptional in helping my mum feel welcome and settled. They take the time to make sure my mum, who is very quiet, participates in the activities. I feel my mum is benefiting from
the company & care she is receiving. And is a totally different person. :)

Rooms are of a good standard.
Early days for us as yet, as Mum is still settling in, which is a huge step/change in her life this far.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.829)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.829) out of 10 for Braemount Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.829 for Braemount Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (285 Excellents x 5) + (40 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 333 Ratings = 4.829
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Braemount Care Home is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 registered maximum number of service users is 18, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
