Located in a peaceful area of Glenburn, Paisley, Braemount Care Home offers long and short-term residential care for the elderly. Care plans are tailored to individual needs and include dementia, nursing, respite, palliative, convalescent, and Parkinson’s care.

The purpose-built accommodation consists of three houses, each with its own a lounge, conservatory and pretty landscaped garden. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, and include en-suite facilities and a 24 hour call system.

A wide range of nutritious dishes are prepared on a daily basis using only fresh produce. Residents can choose to eat in the dining room, or in their own room if preferred. Tea, coffee and drinks are served regularly and there is also a Nite Bite menu available for out of hours snacks.

The popular activity programme includes reminiscence therapy, arts and crafts, musical entertainment and a cinema club. Residents can also enjoy regular trips and outings and visits from a mobile library and hairdresser.

Couldn't have found a nicer friendlier environment for my mum. The staff (and I speak as a retired nurse) are so friendly and attentive to my mum's needs. Nothing is too much for them, the environment around the complex is not well maintained and a lovely place to take my mum to sit in the nicer weather.
Lots of activities are arranged for the residents, including a new vehicle for speaking face to face. I live 400 miles away but I can sleep easy knowing my mum is being well cared for.

Overall experience has been very good.
My Mum seems happy with the carers which gives us peace of mind.
The care my Mum gets is very good considering they can seem under pressure due to lack of staff at times.
The staff are always welcoming and keep us informed of any issues regarding Mum.

I had my husband put in for respite, he is totally dependant on care for all his needs, on the fourth day which was a Monday, I went in to visit, he was lying with no pillow or blankets, a flat sheet that was under him was all rolled underneath, he was lying with bare leg and feet, he was white with
the cold. I pointed this out to a member of staff and was told the heating was on, some of his clothes were missing and have never been found, I was really angry when I visited him on Wednesday, and things were just as bad. To me it was lack of staff but that is no excuse for the way he was looked after, I would say this care home is ok as long as you could get about, but not if you are bed bound, I immediately made arrangements to get him back home and out of his room, I felt he was put there out of the way, if I had left feedback at the time it would have been worse. My review is totally from my experience. More staff and staff training needed.

My mother was in this nursing home for nine days respite care and thought the place was excellent. She was made to feel welcome. There was a great choice of food. The dining room/lounge was very bright and cheery. Rooms are very modern. The care she received in this home was excellent, nothing was too
much trouble. All staff were very friendly.

The home is a quiet area with good parking facilities and very nice gardens. Security into the home is strongly evident. The staff are excellent, caring, friendly and respectful. The most important issue is that both my in-laws have a marked improvement in their health.We are very happy with the service
provided. Our thanks go to the manager and staff for the level of professionalism shown to our parents. Thank you.

Mum was only at Braemount for a short period before her death. However, during her time those she was cared for with great empathy and dignity.

Uncaring throughout Linnwell unit. Staff are moved around units. Staff leaving constantly as lack of care for residents. Personally viewed and experienced this every day of seven-month stay. Residents left pleading to go to the toilet, being left for short of an hour, no snacks offered, limited tea
and coffee to set times as with toilet runs. Little or no communication from staff to residents. Silent social rooms, lack of mental stimulation. Constant shortage of staff, therefore, residents not up early so miss out on breakfast altogether. Home manager downwards lack of care, respect and dignity towards residents. Care Inspectorate informed of all actual facts.

Mam was in this home for 3 weeks respite, the care was very good but the house manager was appalling when we had a problem. Clothes and personal items went missing and they made a huge mix up with her pills so much so that they were giving her pills she should not be on!! Very worrying, we have raised
a formal complaint about the place.

My father, having suffered from Dementia for 14 years and in the latter stages of this horrible disease needed 24-hour care in his last few weeks.
We had been very anxious about choosing the right care home, but the staff at Nethercraigs (Braemount) were absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more
reassuring. In the six weeks of his stay, before he sadly passed away, we took turns in visiting him regularly. We were advised that he would probably lose weight in the first couple of weeks until he adjusted to his new home, but to the contrary, we had never seen him eat so much!
My dad was always well turned out and well groomed when we visited and always looked happy. Although he had a lovely ensuite bedroom, he spent most of the time in the conservatory, soaking up the sun (he always was a sun-worshipper).
We are sure he died happy and we can't thank the professional, caring staff enough for that.

My dear friend is a resident of the home and is happy with her care and her lovely ensuite room with her personal pictures etc around. As a regular visitor, I have observed that the staff are courteous and attentive not only to the residents but visitors also. I appreciate the easy going but vibrant
