Located in a peaceful area of Glenburn, Paisley, Braemount Care Home offers long and short-term residential care for the elderly. Care plans are tailored to individual needs and include dementia, nursing, respite, palliative, convalescent, and Parkinson’s care.

The purpose-built accommodation consists of three houses, each with its own a lounge, conservatory and pretty landscaped garden. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, and include en-suite facilities and a 24 hour call system.

A wide range of nutritious dishes are prepared on a daily basis using only fresh produce. Residents can choose to eat in the dining room, or in their own room if preferred. Tea, coffee and drinks are served regularly and there is also a Nite Bite menu available for out of hours snacks.

The popular activity programme includes reminiscence therapy, arts and crafts, musical entertainment and a cinema club. Residents can also enjoy regular trips and outings and visits from a mobile library and hairdresser.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Several staff provide great support to me. My dad has lived here since September 2016 and no matter what time I go in, day or night, there is no smell of urine. Massive 'high 5' from me. My dad is always clean and tidy. Over the last few weeks, his condition has deteriorated.
Staff immediately stepped up his level of care. His diabetes is the best controlled it's ever been. Anything I want to do with my dad, staff endeavour to support and help me make it happen where possible. I am confident my dad is safe and cared for.

My dad is in this care home. It is excellent. I can't complain about the care for him, food is excellent, different every day, cleanliness in the room, staff are very helpful and friendly in every way. Entertainment is excellent from bingo to singing in a choir. Talking to staff and other residents
- people know their names. I would recommend it very much and have told a lot of people that my dad is being looked after all the time with 24 hour care.

My mother-in-law is well looked after, both physically and mentally. There is always plenty of activities to keep her mind alert. She is always clean and tidy, as are her clothes.
We are more than happy with the care she receives here.

Staff welcoming, good live music performance for residents, encouraging them to join in by coming round rooms when singing.


Other activities take place depending on the day eg bingo, games etc.

Staff in Linnwell are excellent. Very caring. Always happy to answer any questions. The activity team are full of fun.
Previous management not so impressed with, closing dementia unit and moving into a mixed unit, then many staff changeovers. Hope more stable now.

Happy with standards. Mum is settled and loves all the music during the day.
Staff changes too often as the residents get used to a member of staff they change them.
They all do a good job.

I enjoyed living independently, However, I recognised my needs were such that I needed greater support. Since moving into Braemount I have not needed to back to hospital. I have a lovely room with many of my personal possessions. I am no longer lonely. I have made several new friends and I enjoy the
daily activities and music in the lounge. The staff are my friends and are all very pleasant. My family are able to visit regularly. The soup is excellent. The cook asks if we have any preferences, and usually can oblige. All the residents have different needs and the staff work very hard to support us all.

I like being in the home and feel I have met many friends here. I like my food and feel that is tastes good. I enjoy going to my room to watch my television when I want to be on my own. I enjoy walking and I am active but afraid in case I fall.
