Located in a peaceful area of Glenburn, Paisley, Braemount Care Home offers long and short-term residential care for the elderly. Care plans are tailored to individual needs and include dementia, nursing, respite, palliative, convalescent, and Parkinson’s care.

The purpose-built accommodation consists of three houses, each with its own a lounge, conservatory and pretty landscaped garden. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, and include en-suite facilities and a 24 hour call system.

A wide range of nutritious dishes are prepared on a daily basis using only fresh produce. Residents can choose to eat in the dining room, or in their own room if preferred. Tea, coffee and drinks are served regularly and there is also a Nite Bite menu available for out of hours snacks.

The popular activity programme includes reminiscence therapy, arts and crafts, musical entertainment and a cinema club. Residents can also enjoy regular trips and outings and visits from a mobile library and hairdresser.

Mother-in-law has been here for six months, she has improved greatly. She is well cared for and the staff are very attentive. She has a good relationship with all the staff and has fun with them.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The dementia cafe, which is run once a month, is a great idea. The food and service are fantastic and it's a great place to meet other residents and families.

Very welcoming from the outset. Caring staff who look after loved ones very well, keeping in touch when we visit to update on any issues. They also phone to alert us to any medical issues, visits, appointments and general health. Clean, friendly and competent.

Braemount Care Home is very pleasant and inviting, loads of activities for my mum to get involved in and staff are very helpful. Just visited the Bee Kind Café which staff run for residents and carers for some lunch, which was lovely. Highly recommend.

I have found the home always clean and tidy. The staff are excellent with the people they are caring for.
I would hope with better summer weather, there will be a few more activities, but realise this is sometimes difficult to organise.
All in all, an excellent care home.

My Mum became a full-time resident in August 2008, yes, 2008 and has just passed away after 14 years of care at the home and to survive an extra 14 years after a massive stroke, which sadly left her paralysed down the right side and unable to speak properly, says a heck of a lot at how good this care
home is and how settled she was at living here. I have been part of her care since day one and up till lockdown I was at the home taking her out for hours each day and she was always happy to get back for her routine of being back for around 4.30pm and of course to get her fave seat at the dining area, which for over 13 years was in Linwell house. Things now are getting back to normal and the management team is spot on and always good to listen and get things done, the regular long-term staff that I know and my mum knew really well never had a bad word for anyone. My mum passed away in the best place, the way she wanted with dignity and respect and love from the staff, thanks to all.

There doesn't appear to be much stimulation/entertainment for residents. Clothes are often mixed up. There is an issue with access to the lounge post covid. Families are not allowed to enter the lounge. This has become distressing for residents at the end of a visit, as you are unable to take them into
the lounge to settle before you leave. Currently, we are standing outside the lounge waiting for someone to take our family member in. This causes confusion and upset and seems unnecessary.

Hello and thank you very much for your review. We appreciate all of your feedback and also the high scores for care, cleanliness, safety, food and staff. Unfortunately we are not yet at post Covid stage and continue to follow Public Health guidance in order to safeguard Residents from Covid which includes the wearing of face masks, socially distancing visiting families from each other and asking them to avoid the Resident's communal areas. We understand this is not ideal and hopefully, the remaining restrictions will be further relaxed once the latest wave of infections passes and the virus becomes more manageable. We have a full entertainment and activity team within the Home which may not be evident during mealtime (or immediately before or after) and we would be happy to share our program with you. Apologies for any laundry issues experienced, this does happen on the odd occasion in a large care home but hopefully, we get it right the vast majority of the time. Thanks again.

My experience of the care my husband has had since he came into care has been very good. The staff and activities coordinator has made him feel more at home and have taken away most of his anxieties. He has settled in with all the staff and I can't fault anything of the care only that there's no shower
in his room and that he has to share bathing facilities.

The staff identified the needs very quickly and adjusted the necessary package, including meds and managing changes due to any infection etc. Personal attention is good toward each resident and treated with respect. The staff always appears to have time for the residents.

The rooms look as if they have not been updated for years. My dad's wardrobe has ladies clothes, not his own. When you go there, trying to get in or out is a nightmare. I don’t feel I get enough information on how my dad is. I know my dad is getting worse, but how much they never tell me.

Let us start by saying “Who saw that coming?” Covid we mean and the varying degrees of difficulties we all experienced. We as a family are so grateful for the care all of the staff who have selflessly given to our mum during what has also been an extremely stressful time for the staff and their families.

My grandfather has been a resident at this care home for a few years now. I have no concerns whatsoever for his care. The staff is lovely, one young girl, in particular, she goes above and beyond and the care she shows is incredibly touching. It's good to know my grandfather is in good hands and looked

At a very difficult time, when my husband could no longer be cared for at home, the staff were very caring and made the transition easier for me. I could see that he was being well cared for. His dementia is severe and he needs a high level of care. The premises and individual rooms are homely and welcoming.
This is very important.

Since my wife has been in Braemount, I can see she is well looked after. Things have improved over the past 18-months. The staff seem to be kind and caring. There are times during my visits they seem under pressure and in need of another pair of hands. It makes me a little concerned, but they are hard-working
and good at their duties. I am pleased to have chosen Braemount for her care.

Couldn't have found a nicer friendlier environment for my mum. The staff (and I speak as a retired nurse) are so friendly and attentive to my mum's needs. Nothing is too much for them, the environment around the complex is not well maintained and a lovely place to take my mum to sit in the nicer weather.
Lots of activities are arranged for the residents, including a new vehicle for speaking face to face. I live 400 miles away but I can sleep easy knowing my mum is being well cared for.

Overall experience has been very good.
My Mum seems happy with the carers which gives us peace of mind.
The care my Mum gets is very good considering they can seem under pressure due to lack of staff at times.
The staff are always welcoming and keep us informed of any issues regarding Mum.
