The nursing and care staff are friendly and helpful.
The management team are friendly, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and supportive.
The atmosphere
The activities coordinator is committed to offering the best opportunities for the residents and actively encourages participation.
The food is very good with a great chef who is hands on in serving residents and understanding their needs and preferences.
The setting is clean and well kept with easy access to the garden where applicable for residents.
I would definitely recommend this home.

Thank-you for your feedback which is vital to us as we strive to maintain the very best standards throughout. Please accept our apologies that your experience did not match your expectations. On investigation it appears that your review relates to a previous resident in the care home from before the current staff / management team's time at Oxford Manor. We have no record of any complaints or concerns on our systems however will continue to investigate and welcome you to get in touch with our Home Manager directly to discuss the issues raised. Please rest assured we pride ourselves on providing high quality care in a relaxing and happy environment which is evident when visiting the home. Hello and thank you for your feedback. Firstly, it is fantastic to hear that your mother is doing well and thriving in her current care home. We are delighted that you were able to find a more suitable placement to meet her needs. We apologise if Alma Barn did not meet your expectations during your mother's stay with us. Thank you for your words about the nurses and carers you encountered here. We now have a very settled team and a permanent Home Manager with vast experience, who has already implemented some fantastic improvements and is maintaining very high standards in the home. We also have a wonderful Activities Coordinator and a whole home approach to activities which is part of our groundbreaking new B Happie initiative. This initiative has been very beneficial and the activities focus on inclusivity and are designed for all residents including those living with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Sanjeev is a doctor, scientist and entrepreneur. A liver transplant surgeon who has worked at some of the best liver transplant centres internationally, Sanjeev received a category 1 PhD from University College London, for seminal work in reducing liver injury. He has published numerous scientific papers on liver transplant and robotics in major scientific journals and was an invited author for the chapter on liver diseases in the oldest and most well-known textbook for surgery, the Bailey & Love surgery textbook, read by thousands of surgical students around the world.
Sanjeev received an MBA from London Business School and worked at McKinsey & Co in London. Along with his wife, Sanjeev is the owner and Co-Founder of Advinia Health Care Ltd with 3,300 care home beds in the UK providing high-quality care to those living with dementia, or needing nursing care, and providing employment to more than 3,000 people.
