Review of Elderslie Care Home from M S (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I can't recommend this care home enough. My mum became a resident in March 2026 to the Coats unit. This unit deals with residents with dementia. The home is well managed by the Manager and Deputy Manager. The care staff are great and treat my mum with dignity and respect. She is always dressed with clean and matching clothes the way my mum likes. The home is clean and fresh and has a good choice of food, drinks and snacks. I feel completely at ease now my mum is being well looked after. I dreaded putting her into a care home but Elderslie was the best voice I made. The staff keep me updated in her care needs and provide support for me also.

Reply from Richard Murray, Home Manager at Elderslie Care Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind and thoughtful review.

We understand how difficult the decision to move a loved one into a care home can be, so it means a great deal to hear that you now feel reassured and at ease knowing your mum is well cared for.

Review of Ryland View Care Home from Irene D (Wife of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I cannot fault Ryland except for the waiting time often experienced when George needs to be taken to the the toulet, on several occasions he has had to wait nearly 2 hours when I have sat with him but I do understand the reason why. I think Sarah is brilliant with the social work she does. George is happy with the care he receives.

Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Ryland View Care Home

Thank you for your kind words, it's great to hear that your dear husband is happy and that you feel reassured with the care he is receiving. Regarding the toileting, we take this concern very seriously and wish to reassure you that we have addressed this matter with the staff team and will take all...

Review of Bedford Care Home from Carl P (Son of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The security measures in place are excellent, ensuring that only authorised individuals can enter or leave the premises. Inside the home, the environment is bright, colourful, and uplifting, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
Staff consistently demonstrate professionalism and treat every resident with respect, ensuring dignity is always upheld. Their warm and friendly manner fosters a genuinely caring environment that is reassuring for families and comforting for residents.
A wide range of entertainment and activities is provided regularly, contributing positively to residents' wellbeing. The bedrooms are clean, tidy, and offer a peaceful space for rest and privacy.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Bedford Care Home with special appreciation given to the teams associated with my mothers care Kenyon, Astley & Croft House. Your continued dedication is truly appreciated. Keep up the excellent work

Review of Woodfield Grange Care Home from T T (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Mum has been here for 18 months now. When I first visited Woodfield Grange I was impressed by its homely feel. In 18 months I have always experienced this whilst visiting. It really feels like a family which is exactly what was needed for mum. All the staff treat mum with love and respect which is truly lovely to witness. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Woodfield Grange

Review of Woodstock from A M (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

We are so pleased with the care provided, some carers in particular have developed such great relationship with my mum and always go the extra mile. I've not witnessed the activities myself but seen the schedule which seems good and so much better than just sitting residents in front of a tv screen. Working in healthcare I know how important this is for cognitive health and wellbeing. Mum really seems to enjoy the food on offer too

Reply from Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Woodstock

Thank-you for your feedback which means a lot to us particularly given your own experiences working in healthcare. We are delighted that mum is doing so well and enjoying living at Woodstock. Best wishes

Every time I visit grandma I am always made to feel so welcome. It is lovely to see grandma with her friends and see her chatting to the staff. Her room is lovely always tidy (her wardrobe is immaculate). The food is nice and mealtimes are always a great experience. As a family we couldn't be happier with Woodfield Grange. Thank you everyone who works there.

Review of Woodstock from J G (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum went into Woodstock Home in March 2026 and the carers could not do enough for her to help her settle as she was quite anxious. They also keep in contact with me if she becomes unsettled at anytime so I can speak to her as I live quite a long way from the home so am unable to visit on a regular basis. When visiting I have noticed that the carers do an amazing job looking after the residents knowing and understanding each individual's needs.

Review of Woodstock from Linda S (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum has been at Woodstock for over a year now and is very happy there. She is wonderfully looked after. The staff are wonderful too. She enjoys the entertainment too. She enjoys having her meals prepared for her and going to eat in the dining room. She is always clean and dressed lovely. She is given regular showers and has her hair cut styled by a hairdresser. She has her nails done by the staff too and loves the nail polish. A man comes and does her feet and toenails cut too.

Review of Woodstock from Patricia B (Mother-in-law of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I am kept fully up to date of any on going issues with his health. Able to contact him to speak in person so I can hear how he is feeling and I know from my visits he is well looked after and has help always on hand. Everything is always spotlessly clean and there are no lingering odours that you might associate with the care of elderly people who may have complex health issues. Food and drink is always available and I'm always offered a cup of tea or coffee when I visit and my son in law enjoys his food. There is always an upbeat atmosphere whenever I visit and he is always treated with respect and as a human being which brings out his comical side and having lived with vascular dementia for numerous years he is treated as a valued member of the community.
