Both my mother and father are in this care home. Been there for about 4 weeks. Yesterday was made a very special day, the staff made a real fuss of them for Valentine’s Day also they will be married for 70 years at the end of March. They had a lovely day thanks to all staff.

Overall Experience
Mum was in Rosepark for 7 months. The care, respect, dignity and compassion given to Mum was excellent. The staff quickly developed a warm, friendly relationship with Mum and got to know her very well. Mum thrived in the home until her health declined and we felt very confident that Mum was in very good hands. Communication between the home and myself (and family) was excellent and we were kept fully appraised of how Mum was doing. We were fully consulted at all times.

The staff also gave us so much support. They got to know us and we were always made welcome when visiting Mum. We visited the home regularly and saw firsthand how the staff (at all levels) interacted with the residents and how well they knew them. There was always a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere in the home. In choosing Rosepark, key considerations for us were the level of experience staff had in caring for those with dementia and the extremely low level of staff turnover. We were not disappointed.

My mum has been a resident in Rosehill for over 5 years and the care she has been given is exemplary. The staff go above and beyond in their care to all residents and relatives and cannot thank them enough for all their hard work in this very difficult time. Keep up the great work.

Our mother is currently being cared for in Rosepark and our father also spent years in the home, both of them having dementia. Can’t speak highly enough about all the staff from the manager, carers, nurses, domestics, kitchen team and secretary. Every one of them go over and above to help and take such good care of Mum as they did with our Dad. Mum and Dad are and were made to feel so secure and happy in there care. The only bad thing I can say is the decor and seating could really do with being updated as they’ve seen better days.

Excellent care given to my Uncle (now deceased) and my Aunt during a recent stay. The family really appreciate the care and attention given recently. I cannot sing the praises high enough.

Review from E W (Sister of Resident) published on 5 February 2020 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

We chose Rosepark Nursing Home because of prior knowledge of personal care, the fact that there was stability of staffing and proximity. All staff are excellent in their friendly and helpful manner to family. They are always kindly and gentle when interacting with residents. We are very satisfied with the care my sister received. However, we are very disappointed to find no outside garden area where residents can walk. We find the activities programme completely unsatisfactory. There is little variety - mainly quizzes but these are not organised to include all residents. Even films cannot be viewed by all.

Reply from Kirstene Feenan, Marketing at Rosepark Nursing Home

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently working with our activities coordinators to develop a varied activities programme within the home. We will do this whilst consulting with residents to identify their preferences to ensure we meet the wellbeing needs of all our residents.

My sisters and I are very pleased with the care in Rosepark. We know our mum is in a safe and happy environment. The staff are exemplary. They are approachable, calm and very patient. Nothing is too much bother. They have shown first-class care to our mum whose health is in decline. They treat her like their own relative and that is comforting to see.

The residents have a good selection of activities. Great care home, fantastic staff.

Care and attention to residents is excellent.
Care home could do with an update on carpets.

Hall carpets not for dementia residents.

My mother was only at Rosepark for just over 4 weeks after being discharged from hospital. In that time the treatment and care that she received there was second to none. The staff not only cared for Mum but the whole family.

My mother was in the care home for a very short period of time before she died. The care, professionalism and attention to detail provided by the staff was outstanding. At the time of her death she was not alone, and one of the carers that night placed a pair of rosary beads in her hand as they knew she was a devout Catholic. This meant so much to the whole family.
