My wife been at Burnfoot for year half now allways pleased with staff care and attention to Bernie. Enjoy spending time with my wife at all the entertainment on offer. Great comunication between myself & staff regarding Bernies care.

My mum has been in Burnfoot care home since April 2025 she went in for restbite. Unfortunately she never got back home.It was a very hard decision for me, my mum has been well looked after and is safe. The staff is great with mum and go over and beyond for her, from the cleaners right up to the management. She has had a few outings and had a really good time. Unfortunately my mum has deteriorated and it's a very hard journey, the staff have been a very good support. The Dementia Cafe provided by the home is also a very good support. The food is very good and the home is spotless. The staff is very nice and approachable.
Many thanks for your kind words and ongoing support of our events, I will be sure to pass this on to the team.
My Dad has dementia, which means he cannot communicate clearly, what are his own likes and dislikes. The staff know him so well that is reassures us to know Dad's wishes are always at the forefront of his care plan, as they treat him with dignity and respect.
I am forever grateful for the continued care provided by Burnfoot to my Dad, and the continued and valuable support, provided to all our family.

We visited at least 10 homes in our area, including the most expensive, but, from the first contact with Burnfoot manger, her receptiveness, openness, empathy and professionalism stood out. Her pride in such a lovely, purpose-built home filters down through every member of staff. She is the captain of a happy & dedicated crew. Maintenance, domestic, entertainment, kitchen staff, carers, nurses & admin have shown such enthusiasm to make Burnfoot as near to "home" as it could possibly be and our relative is thriving as a result. The care he is receiving at Burnfoot is EXEMPLARY!
Thank you very much for your kind recognition and compliments for our team. I will take great pleasure in passing on your kind comments to our wonderful Burnfoot team.

This is an excellent facility where my father receives exceptional care from attentive staff. The environment is consistently clean, and a variety of good food options are available. I give it five stars.

I cant praise burnfoot enough, from the first contact I had with them they provided excellent reassurance as making the decision for my husband to live here permanently wasn't a easy one. I have been included in all decisions on my husband's care, and communication, in general is excellent! The staff are very caring to both the residents and their family!
Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased that you recognise we have such a caring staff team. I will be sure to pass your comments on to the wider team.

I am absolutely blown away with the level of care and compassion provided by Burnfoot care home. My father was a resident and sadly passed away at the weekend. The staff went above and beyond to support our family during this difficult time. My father was treated with dignity and respect and cared for in a way that touched my heart.
Thank you for recognising our team for the care and compassion shown. I will pass your kind words on to our staff team. We greatly appreciate your feedback.
I cannot praise burnfoot care home highly! After having a horrible experience when my dad went into respite in another care home we never thought we would ever find somewhere that would give us back trust to put my dad into full time care. From the minute we had to collect my dad from the previous care home to my dad eventually going into full time care the staff have been excellent, gave us the reassurance and support that we needed at the time. My Dad is alot happier, the staff know his likes and dislikes , treat him with respect and dignity at all times. Excellent communication, keep us well upto date on everything. They make us feel comfortable and nothing ever seems to be a hassle. Every member of staff we have met has been friendly , caring and compassionate. My little boy feels right at home here aswell. Thanks for everything Burnfoot care home we can't praise yous all enough.

Mum seems happy and content now which is all down the Burnfoot House and it's hard working team
Thank you for your kind comments. I will be sure to pass this on to our team.
Our mum was a resident in Burnfoot Care Home from November 2023 and the care she received was excellent. The carers were warm, nurturing and compassionate throughout her time here, especially in her last days. We as a family, felt supported, listened to and we were kept fully informed of any changes in our mum's health. We will be forever grateful to all the staff at Burnfoot.
We really appreciate your lovely comments. Thank you for your kind review.
Management was always available to answer my questions in a professional manner which I greatly appreciated. During my mother's final days, I spent five days at Burnfoot, where the staff ensured I was well-informed and supported. With my brothers in Australia, we utilised reliable 5G for video calls, providing comfort to family. I highly recommend Burnfoot for exceptional care and support for your loved ones.
Thank you very much. Your review is much appreciated. I shall pass on your kind words to our team.
My dad was not well for a while and the care he got in the care home was excellent, they really made sure he got the help he needed and the care he got from the staff was amazing and now he is back to full health.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I will pass this review on to our team.
The staff there are brilliant, they are trained to deal with dads needs and soon understood his triggers allowing them to care for him. The staff are always happy to talk and share stories and anecdotes of what dad had been up to and any trip that have been planned. There is a connection to the local area as staff are mostly local. This leads to retention of staff so you always see familiar faces and means better care for dad who has built relationships with the staff. They are able to deal with dads condition allowing them to carry out his personal care needs. He is eating well and is looking physically better than he has for years. I would recommend Burnfoot to anyone who has similar care needs to dad.
A very well-run care home with courteous, well-trained staff that I cannot praise highly enough for their impeccably high standard of care delivered with warmth and caring. A first-class service.
We are very grateful for your review. I will pass on your kind words to our team. Thank you.
My uncle is well looked after, well fed, and gets on with the staff who are all lovely, I honestly couldn't ask for a better care home for my uncle.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback it is much appreciated.
He seems very settled and calm at present. The staff are excellent and very capable and compassionate at all times. They will always engage with me if I have any specific problems regarding his health care. I always feel as if we are all on the same team. I am so very grateful for all their support.
We are all very grateful for your feedback. Thank you.
Carers really care! They are very welcoming to us as visitors and always happy to help. Dad responded well to the carers due to their warmth and patience.
Thank you for taking the time to give a review of your feedback; it is greatly appreciated.

Being able to support the staff and residents alike is very rewarding

Three years ago I was promoted to a senior carer and this has allowed me to pass on my knowledge and passion for the job to my peers.
It has always been one of my core beliefs that all service users should be treated with the same dignity and respect that you would expect a family member to be treated with. I also think it is a valuable trait to be available whenever your colleagues need support and empathy whenever they might need you.

I started as a care assistant before taking up the full time role as Activity co-ordinator. I have an SVQ in Social Services and Health Care. My favourite part of my job is getting to Know the residents and their families. Getting to know them allows me to plan activities to suit their needs and preferences making them feel welcome and at home. we currently have a Daily monthly and Annual planner of activities which have been planned around the residents needs and wishes. The activities include one to one time, Karaoke, arts and crafts, gardening, bingo indoor bowels, golf, pamper sessions and when able we will enjoy shopping trips and outings again. My family are very important to me and i enjoying spending quality time with my husband and five children.
