My grampa has been in Burnfoot for a year and a half now. He has thrived compared to where he was before. Care is very good, staff are great with all clients and work very hard. His needs are cared for very well, and I would recommend this home.

Our friend had to move from another care home as they could no longer look after him. At first, I was resistant to the move, however, we wish he had gone here in the first place. The staff in this home are not only dementia-trained but dementia friendly. They looked after our friend spectacularly,
they were professional, caring, and motivated, all over any medical problems, they had our friend taking part in activities and most importantly smiling. His behaviour at times could be a bit challenging but they took it all in their stride and did not resort to sedating him or restricting his movements. At no time did we worry about the safety, comfort or dignity of our friend. He was content and well cared for. They communicated well and kept us up to date with any changes in his condition. Thank you so much to all the staff, carers, caterers, cleaners and maintenance guys who made this feel like home and not an establishment. Thanks to all.

Burnfoot work hard to keep their residents active and happy and share their activities online which helps relatives who live a long way away keep in touch with their family. It is useful to see photos and see the activities that are taking place.

My mum was a resident at Burnfoot Care Home. Sadly my mum fell asleep on the 19th April. My mum had been a resident for the past 7 years and I can honestly say all the staff made those 7 years some of the happiest years for both my mum and my family. They all showed my mum great care and dignity at
all times and always went out of their way to help my family if we had any worries about Mum. During Mum's final days, myself and 4 other family members stayed with Mum day and night. During this time all the staff were amazing with myself and my family and I honestly couldn’t have got through those final days without them all by our side. Thank you so much everyone at Burnfoot House for all your love and care, myself and my family will always be thankful for having so many wonderful people around us.

All the team at Burnfoot Care Home were amazing with Dad. Their care and support for him was second to none. I live many miles away so couldn't visit often but I never had any worries for Dad... it meant so much to have the peace of mind he was amongst people who cared for him. Can't recommend Burnfoot

My dad was previously in another care home and the standards of Burnfoot Care Home are so much better. My dad has daily interactions with staff and other residents and you can tell the staff genuinely care about the service users as if they were their own family. They go above and beyond with activities
and really go all out with events. Highly rate this care home for many reasons, but mostly for how caring they are to everyone.

My/our father was in Burnfoot for almost the last two years of his life and what a friendly busy place it is. They catered for his every need without a second thought and included Mum and I too, lots of birthdays, anniversaries, valentines days etc. Always with a special touch to leave treasured memories,
for those left behind. Dad's final week in Burnfoot was treasured by our whole family. We were able to stay with him to the end and for as long as we needed, after. All the staff and especially the night shift, made sure we were as comfortable as possible. For that, we are truly thankful. Keep up the good work all.

My dad passed away at the end of July and he was Mum's primary carer. Without him, she become extremely confused, upset, disorientated and was becoming a danger to herself and others. On entering Burnfoot, she instantly calmed down. The staff took time to help her adjust and ensure she's kept active,
which she needs and loves. Mum has been able to choose her own interiors for her bedroom and adores it. She is so happy and it means we can rest easy, knowing she is so well looked after. Amazing place.

Couldn't ask for a better home for my gran to live in. She was in another care home before moving to Burnfoot but wouldn't settle. She has settled in great since being here and all members of staff treat her like family. She is always clean, well-looked after and happy. There is always activities on
to keep the residents busy. It is amazing to see how at home she is when we visit. Couldn't thank everyone enough for everything they have done for her over the years. 100% well-deserved 5 stars.

The staff are fantastic. I get regular updates on my mum and they always keep me up to speed with any issues. The knowledge and understanding of the nursing staff, is exemplary. Their communication levels and feedback is of a very high standard.

All staff at Burnfoot Care Home, are fantastic. They looked after my dad for nearly two years. In his last few months, he deteriorated. The staff looked after him and us and family members, who stayed with my dad, till his end of life. They helped celebrate my dad's birthdays and also my mum and dad's
60th wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't praise the home and staff enough and highly recommend this home. The social media page enabled you to see what activities they got up to each week, which was great to see them all interacting!

Despite my father being in Burnfoot Care Home for only 3 months, it was the perfect place for him, due to the great atmosphere within the home. He got the 24/7 care he certainly needed, which meant he could relax in the calming environment. This meant the family could stop worrying about him, as they
knew he was safe.

I have lived in Burnfoot for around a year and a half. I like living here. I get on good with the staff. I enjoy the food provided. Peaceful place to live out your days. I am able to stay mainly independent when living here. Everything I need and want is quickly accommodated.

Three years ago I was promoted to a senior carer and this has allowed me to pass on my knowledge and passion for the job to my peers.
It has always been one of my core beliefs that all service users should be treated with the same dignity and respect that you would expect a family member to be treated with. I also think it is a valuable trait to be available whenever your colleagues need support and empathy whenever they might need you.

Hi my name is Eileen I have worked in Burnfoot House since 2017
I started as a care assistant before taking up the full time role as Activity co-ordinator. I have an SVQ in Social Services and Health Care. My favourite part of my job is getting to Know the residents and their families. Getting to know them allows me to plan activities to suit their needs and preferences making them feel welcome and at home. we currently have a Daily monthly and Annual planner of activities which have been planned around the residents needs and wishes. The activities include one to one time, Karaoke, arts and crafts, gardening, bingo indoor bowels, golf, pamper sessions and when able we will enjoy shopping trips and outings again. My family are very important to me and i enjoying spending quality time with my husband and five children.
