My husband's stay was excellent. He settled right away due to the fantastic staff. They made him feel welcomed, very friendly and right at home. We are both extremely grateful for all the assistance you gave us.
Hi. Thank you so much for your kind words, they are very much appreciated. Our staff will be delighted to know that you were happy with the care that he received. He will always be welcome here at Doonbank House Care Home.
My Aunt became a resident of Doonbank Care Home last year . Since moving here, she was encouraged by staff to eat better, join in activities and socialise - I cannot recommend the staff highly enough - going above and beyond when she can be difficult at times due to illness . From the girls in the office to Tracey the chef, to the activities co-ordinators, everyone plays a great part in the smooth running of Doonbank. Rooms are homely and the food is great . Would highly recommend !! Thank you to all .
Thank you for your kind and positive review. We welcome all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to do this. We will pass this amazing feedback on to our staff teams, thank you.
My brother has been made extremely welcome and I can't fault the staff who are all so nice and respectful. Their interactions seem authentic and genuine. I would like to see more activities and more people visit the home which creates different stimulus for the residents.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to review our Home. I will pass these kind words to our Staff.
Write a review for us. In truth & by action we are reviewing a care home every time we visit. We review by what we see & hear. There is also instinct. What is the feeling you have when you enter a care home or other establishment? Are you uneasy about how staff operate? Are staff professional at all times, but can relax that a little just by smiling, valueing & respecting everyone they care for? Are the management team approachable, warm, welcoming & available to speak with at perhaps short notice? Questions require answers. In summary, there are no signs whatsoever that Doonbank generates a feeling of unease. The the opposite is the case. Professionalism is readily observed & constant. The management team are always available should we need to discuss matters regarding our loved ones. The caregivers provide people who live there, physical & emotional support to those who have chronic illnesses, dementia & other complex needs. I rest my case, happy my brother is a beneficiary.
Thank you for your kind words. I will ensure that your comments are passed to our Staff.
Would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for this kind of help.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to review our Home. I will pass these kind words to our Staff.
Since the 1st phone call just over 3 weeks ago enquiring about availability in Doonbank care home to my father going in just over a week ago, I can't fault anything about the place, from the management to the domestics and everyone in-between they are all so friendly and take the time to answer any questions I have had. My father has settled in really well and all his needs are being catered for. I can't praise the home enough, I will go back to Cambridge knowing my father will be well taken care of.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review and for your kind words. I will pass your words on to our Staff Team with many thanks!
Doonbank Care Home is very nice, clean and well-looked after. The staff are friendly and caring and are willing to help if needed.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with a review and for your kind words. I will pass your words on to our staff team with many thanks!
My experience with home has been excellent. The rooms are just right. The staff are all friendly. It could do with more staff as it can be busy at meal times, and toilet visits can be hectic if more than one resident needs to go. All residents are well looked after and get on well with the staff.
Thank you for your kind and positive review. We welcome all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to do this. We will pass this amazing feedback on to our staff teams, thank you.
Surroundings are very pleasant and the customers seem to enjoy their trips out in the bus. One big thing we have noticed and commented on to each other is that you are not hit by the smell of urine as soon as you walk through the front door which is a very common thing in care homes.
Thank you for your kind and positive review. We welcome all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to do this. We will pass this amazing feedback on to our staff teams, thank you.
My mother is in Doonbank care home and I cannot thank the staff enough for their compassion and care my mother is receiving. Even before her admission the attention to her every need was catered for. She has settled in well and participates in activities that are provided. This is an excellent care facility. From management to cleaning staff they simply can't do enough for the residents.
Thank you so much for your very positive review and for taking the time to do this. We take all feedback seriously. I will pass this on to the Team who will be very encouraged by this. Thank you once again.
Unfortunately Mum passed away two weeks back, but I have to say I was really pleased with the excellent level of care that my mum received whilst at Doonbank. I know for a fact that she was very happy during her stay with you and the family will be ever grateful for the way that your staff interacted with her and made her stay as good as it possibly could have been.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review us and for your kind words. The staff at Doonbank always strive to provide the best care possible and we are glad that we were able to provide this. I shall pass your words on to the staff team.
He seems happy so that is comforting for his family to know he is in safe hands.
My dad needs prompting some times to put clean clothes on, other than that we are happy with the care he receives.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to provide a review. We take all reviews seriously and will pass your feedback onto our staff team.
I am very pleased with the care provided at Doonbank Nursing Home. The home is always clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for the residents. The staff are generally approachable and show genuine care and compassion in their work, which really makes a difference.
One small suggestion for improvement would be for the staff to spend more time sitting with the residents rather than congregating at a single table. This could enhance the sense of community and make residents feel even more included and supported. Overall, Doonbank Nursing Home is a wonderful place, and I feel reassured knowing my loved one is in good hands.
Thank you very much for your comments, we appreciate you taking the time to review us, we take any review seriously and will certainly pass this on to our staff and continue to work on improving our resident and relative experience.
Cannot praise the staff and management of Doonbank enough in their care of my Aunt. Lots of activities for her to do and keep her stimulated. Friendly staff, great meals, homely rooms. Highly recommend Doonbank to anyone looking at a care home for a loved one.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with a review and for your kind words. I will pass your words on to our staff team with many thanks!
My dad is a resident in Doonbank House and since admission to the home he has been treated with compassion and kindness. The staff team are professional and caring and treats all the residents so well. The environment is homely and the food is freshly made and dad speaks highly about it. There had been a weight lifted off my shoulders now as I know dad is no longer at risk on his own at home and I can relax and sleep at night now. I cannot thank the manager and the team enough!
Thank you for your kind words and taking time to leave a review. Our staff strive to offer the best care we can possibly offer and I am sure they will appreciate your encouragement. I will pass your words onto them.
My grandad was in Doonbank for a long period of time. The care he received was fantastic. All staff kept me informed and updated. He always appeared clean and tidy when I was in visiting if he didn't want something from the menu the kitchen staff were amazing in making him what he wanted. Staff were all professional and you could tell they really cared for every resident.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review us and for your kind words. The staff at Doonbank always strive for the best and we are glad we were able to deliver. I shall pass your words on to the staff team.
My relative has been here since 2010. I am very impressed and satisfied with all her care and well-being. The staff are friendly, helpful and considerate. The home is always clean and the rooms are well looked after. Any concerns are always relayed by staff to me and communication is great. Can't thank all the management and staff enough, they do an outstanding job!
Thank you so very much for taking the time to review us and for your kind words. I will ensure they are passed onto the staff team.
Words cannot express the way I feel about all of the staff at Doonbank. They are exceptionally caring and show much patience with Dad. My dad has been doing activities and outings that I never thought he would do again, along with some new ones. The staff are also an amazing support system for both my brother and myself in many different ways, which I in particular find very comforting.
Thank you very much for your kind review, and I will pass it on to all the staff. It is a privilege to have your dad in our home.
My mum moved to Doonbank Care Home in challenging circumstances but has really settled in and is improving. She is well cared for by kind and thoughtful staff and it is the little things that make a big difference - a kind word; taking time to ensure her clothes match; putting on her makeup and charging her phone. She enjoys a comfortable room, good food and socialising. The staff work so hard and this is appreciated by my mum and her loved ones. She is treated with dignity and respect - what more could she ask for?
Thank you so very much for taking the time to review and also for your kind words. I will ensure they are passed along to the whole team.
My wife's mother had a stroke and passed away on 7th November. Due to the Covid restrictions, I had to telephone this news to my wife. The comfort and support my wife received over this period was outstanding. My last outside visit, last week, found the staff very supportive to both of us and I expect it will be the same this week. Excellent work by all concerned.
Thank you for taking the time to review us and for your kind words. I will ensure these are passed on to the staff team.
