On most visits, we sit in the sunroom or the little 'cafe area' beside the small kitchen where we can help ourselves to tea, coffee and biscuits. It really is a home from home. There is always staff on hand to help or answer questions and nothing seems to be any bother to them, although they are always busy. The manager is often a visible presence and takes the time to talk to visitors and residents. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Northlands Care Home.

I have been nursing all of my life and I continue to enjoy my work every day. I have experience in both the NHS, and in the independent sector specialising in Dementia and Elderly Care. My knowledge and practical experience led to me becoming the Head of Learning & Development at the Dementia Centre (DSDC) University of Stirling working across the UK and Internationally. I have won awards for my achievements culminating in the Mental Health Nurse of the Year Award in 2013 from The Royal College of Nursing.
