My first impressions of Belmont Care Home were that it was a well-run establishment with good management and a caring, pleasant and friendly staff. Over the past year, with my wife as a patient, this initial impression has proved correct and we, i.e. our family group, have become part of the 'Belmont Care family' and are on first-name terms with the staff and patients. It is noticeable that the comfort and well-being of the patients are a top priority with a range of activities during the year.
The staff from reception to the carers all have been so supportive and caring towards my mum. Special mention to the activities manager who goes above and beyond her role. My mum may not take part in activities by she will always call and chat, wash her hair and just keep my dad and myself spirits up.
My wife was in the care home for nearly a year. I had no major complaints. Any problems that arose were dealt with. I would recommend Belmont Care Home. The staff were excellent.
Belmont Care Home wasn't just a place of care for my aunt, she considered it her home. The staff would go to great lengths to provide for all my aunts' needs. I was always content with my aunt's well-being and safety.
We are very happy with the professional nursing care, especially the pressure sores she arrived with. My mum has been very well taken care of. She has improved dramatically; physically noticeable. Improved mood, eating well and sitting in the wheelchair. Sores all healed - so we are delighted!
When my late husband was being transferred from hospital to Belmont Care Home I was apprehensive. I had no previous experience with care homes and did not know what to expect. However, I need not have worried, from day one the care and attention he received from the staff was first class. They looked after him as if he was a member of their family and I have the utmost respect for them. I would definitely recommend Belmont Care Home to anyone.
My father lived at Belmont Care Home for the past 3 years of his life. We were very lucky to have the very best staff in Belmont to give my father the "Human Touch" when it most mattered. Dad died last month.
Thank you, for your kind comments about our Care team. We appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback for Belmont Care Home. We are so sorry to hear about your Dad, but pleased you felt that our team lived up to expectations and treated your Dad with dignity and the compassion he deserved during his time at our home. If there is anything more we can do, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Dad received a friendly welcome to Belmont. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times. He received great care from all the staff, who were like a second family to us. They did all they could to make Dad comfortable and pain-free during his last months. The manager, administrator, nurses and care staff were always approachable and helpful. I felt at ease knowing Dad was receiving great care in a safe environment.
No complaints at all.
Would highly recommend.
I have made many visits to this house over the years to visit a very dear friend from our church and I have always found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming.
My Aunt has been extremely well cared for at Belmont Care Home. She was kept safe during Covid and all her needs are attended to. The manager and staff are always available to speak to and everyone goes that extra mile to help. It is very obvious that the staff at Belmont love their jobs, many of them seeing it as a vocation.
My aunt got leukaemia at age 88. I was coping at first with the daily help from care workers, but her condition got worse and different infections also happened, so spells in the hospital to get treatment. All this happening with the coronavirus getting worse, but luckily, she never contacted it. So with the help of the health and social, care trust, social workers, doctors and nurses, she got a placement at Belmont. All the staff have been faultless and professional.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback about our home. We are pleased to hear that your experience has been positive and appreciate all of your kind comments about our team. We hope to see you again soon.
The care my cousin received from when she arrived 5-months previously until she passed away in December 2020 was excellent. Management/nursing care gave me confidence/reassurance that my cousin was settling into her new home, in the middle of the pandemic. Update and advise always given. Visits well organised with covid restriction/video calls were necessary for lockdown. The office manager - very helpful and I felt I could phone any time. The activity coordinator was wonderful at setting relatives/clients, so full of empathy for both. Nursing staff cared for my cousin with great compassion until she passed away.
Thank you, Elise, for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience at Belmont Care Home. We are so sorry to hear about your cousin but pleased you felt she received great care and hope that her time at Belmont did see some friendships flourish, especially with the care team. We appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback, take care.
Belmont staff are excellent, they took very good care of my mother in her final weeks, under the extreme difficulties of Covid. I was able to spend my mum's final hours with her with the support from Belmont's amazing staff, in the final stages of her dementia. Thank you.

The staff were very patient with him and did everything they could to ensure he became comfortable and confident in his new surroundings. The home is very clean and welcoming and kept the family updated regularly during the lockdown and have endeavoured to provide visiting opportunities in line with the necessary Covid-19 guidelines. I am very happy we chose Belmont or our father.

Very friendly and approachable manager and staff. Mum's needs taken care of. Pro-active attitude to contacting GP and family if there are even the smallest concerns for mum's health and well-being. Activities leader maintains a weekly programme of events as well as developing good individual relationships with residents.

During the 20 or so months my mother was in Belmont, I was continually impressed with the support and care she required. This included day to day support from the care staff and care specialist support from the nursing staff. This extended to mealtimes when all staff did their best to ensure she received the nourishment to sustain her. This was made clear to me when she spent time in the hospital when she received nourishment through an IV line rather than the normal food route. Then she returned to Belmont. All staff put considerable effort into improving her situation through continued but proportionable prompting to ensure nourishment through the food intake, which they achieved. In her last days, all staff went the extra mile to ensure she was made as comfortable as possible which I appreciated. Belmont also boasts a comprehensive course of facilities to support all the needs of residents.

Recently my father, who is 92, choked on a piece of food in the dining room. The staff immediately dealt with it and dislodged a portion of meat. My father informed me today that he thought he was going to die and if it hadn't been for the quick thinking and professionalism of the staff at the time, there might have been a completely different outcome. The staff under the new manager are all excellent. I was informed by phone of the incident so that it would not be a shock to me the next day.
Thank you, Rebecca, for letting us know how we are doing at Belmont Care Home. We are so pleased to hear how caring and perceptive our colleagues are. The care and wellbeing of every resident is our number one priority and it is rewarding to have such positive feedback about how we are doing.
