I would recommend Florence House to everyone who was thinking of putting someone into care. It is a small but very friendly place with the residents getting a lot more one on one attention as opposed to a larger place where this may not be the case. I have found all the staff very professional and nothing
is ever a problem. I am kept well informed if there is anything I need to know straight away. Excellent place, my nan is well looked after.

From my first enquiry in January 2020 I have received nothing else but help, support and understanding from the whole team at Florence House. I was seeking residential care for an elderly relative who was unable to look after herself in her own home, but was anxious about moving into a care home. The
care that my Aunt has received is exemplary and better than a home from home with her every need catered for. Florence House is a smaller establishment with the benefits of a larger organisation making it perfect for us, my Aunt and her needs. During the pandemic (and because we do not live locally) we have kept in touch with daily phone calls, video messages and photos and my Aunt looks so much more cared-for than she did prior to moving in; just yesterday she had her hands massaged and her nails manicured and polished. We have all been treated professionally and sympathetically by the manager and her staff who have always gone the extra mile.

My uncle was found to be in stage one dementia when in hospital after a fall, so we placed him with Florence house where he resided for a period of more than a year but suddenly passed away after a stroke. We had never thought that the care given to him for the period of his stay could have been given
by all the staff with such love and compassion. Never found anything was too much trouble and all the staff exceptional.
