Mum is very well looked after and is happy. All of the staff are invested in the job they do, and we can see that they are really fond of mum. Recently, mum had a fall and had to go into hospital for a week. The care home staff kept us fully informed and I am pleased to say that mum made a good recovery and is back being treated like a queen! I would fully recommend this care home.

My mum came out of the hospital and was placed in drovers as an intermediate as it was not safe for her to go home. They have been good with communication and honest with situations. My mum is fully coherent and is looking great. She is fully trusting her carers and I am happy to visit weekly separated but to see her makes me feel happy. Provided mum with mobile which the carers are good enough to help her to speak or FaceTime with me or my brother in Spain. Concerned with Covid cases but confident they will do everything to protect my mum.

My Aunt entered Drovers in March 2020 with severe Alzheimer's alongside my uncle who had terminal cancer. The staff seemed lovely and I was confident she was in the right place. My uncle died 2 weeks later. In June, my aunt was taken to hospital where she was found to be dehydrated and constipated. We also discovered she had lost over 7kg in just 3 months. When she entered Drovers, we were perfectly clear that she was unable to feed herself and that food had to be pureed. Clearly, to have lost that much weight in so short a time, this was not being done. They promised they would weigh her every week but this was not done. She was already extremely frail, so what would have been a visible loss should have been of major concern for the staff at Drovers House. When my aunt was discharged from hospital, we placed her in a different home where she passed her last three months being properly cared for.

COVID-19 is not an excuse for lack of care.

Dad became part of the Drovers family in November 2019 and immediately settled in. The staff team made us all feel very welcome and part of the family, inviting us to join in with activities and visit whenever we wanted to. Dad was cared for by amazing compassionate people, right up to when he passed recently in mid-October. During lockdown this year, as we were unable to have normal visits with Dad they did everything they could to help us keep contact with him - video calls, garden visits, waving from the window and phone chats from the balcony while we stood outside. It was so hard not to have the close contact with him we were used to but we knew he was being well cared for, loved even, by his amazing carers. As Dad declined, they all did everything they could to ensure they maintained his dignity. They showed him such loving care and compassion I cannot say enough about it. They genuinely cared. We believe we chose exactly the right home for Dad. Thank you, Drovers. You're amazing!

Very professional and polite. Drovers House is just what my mother needed, especially with her Alzheimer’s and her other medical problems. Also, it’s good for the home that they have a doctor's surgery opposite.

Fantastic home. The care they provide for my mum is amazing. My mum moved in March, just before the lockdown which meant I could only see her through the window. My mum settled in with the help and care she was given. I have lots of phone calls which is brilliant and my mum's room is very clean and tidy. My mum is kept very clean and always dressed nicely, the staff are very friendly and approachable at all times.

I cannot recommend the care in this home highly enough. My mother-in-law was in residence from March 2020 - October 2020 during the lockdown, an incredibly challenging time and the staff team were incredibly supportive, treating my mother-in-law with respect and dignity. Visiting was limited due to Covid, however, the deputy manager made sure we had communication with her and we were consulted and informed. As my mother-in-law's care declined, the deputy manager became our 'voice' with all of the services as well as offering us support and keeping us informed. During her last days, both the deputy manager and the team leader provided the most outstanding care and it was amazing to watch the trust that had built up between them and my mother-in-law. The gentle care and warmth they displayed remains with all of us, we were truly blown away by their professionalism, passion and commitment to their jobs. Those last days are incredibly precious memories and we will be eternally grateful to both of them.

My Mother was placed at Drovers House after a fall and hospital stay. Drovers House would have been my first choice, so I was happy with her placement. The staff exceeded my expectations, the facilities are modern, bright and clean and in Covid 19 times, the security and safety of staff and patients was paramount. The latest temperature scan combined with a disinfectant mist on entry shows how committed the staff are to the safety of those in their care. I could fill the rest of this article with the names of those who went above and beyond to make my mother feel welcome and in her last days, sat with her on their short breaks, stayed behind to talk to medical staff and come in on days off to see her. I can't thank them all sufficiently, they are a credit to their profession.

My mum has been in Drovers House since September 2015 and is suffering from advanced Alzheimer's. Drovers House is a modern, bright, clean and spacious home with a nice garden and outside area for residents to enjoy. In my experience, staff are very caring, kind and understanding and all work very hard. Mum is very comfortable there, has a rapport with the staff and seems settled. The Relatives Gateway is a very useful online tool which allows me to monitor Mum's activities, interaction and health on a daily basis. I would recommend this care home to others.

First impression is that Drovers is so much more modern, cheerful and just simply better than any of the homes I saw ten years ago when my wife was looking for a home for her father. The facilities are really good, and whilst Dad may not be able to join in playing ping pong, I can see that the activities and communities created are really good. Dad especially appreciated visiting the garden and the balcony during the warmer weather. Reassuring to see that the food service is rated so well. The patient's gateway is a portal that you can connect to at any time and see in great detail what has been happening. When moving your Dad from his own home after being independent all of his long life, the fear of getting it wrong is a worry but I am now totally relieved and satisfied that I would be very happy if my family chose a home-like Drovers for me when my time comes. All staff that have contact with Dad and those that have contact with me are so understanding and caring. Nice people. Nice place.

My father spent a week at Drovers for respite, I could not recommend the home more. The staff provide high quality person-centred care. It was my dads first time in a home and he was very unsure of what to expect, on leaving he said he would be more than happy to go back when he needs too. The relative's gateway is a great tool meaning I was able to check how he was whilst I was on holiday. Brilliant facilities, clean, bright and excellent activities including the gift of years.

My mum has been at Drovers House for 1 year. She has vascular dementia and previously lived on her own. The care at Drovers has been excellent, I cannot praise the staff enough. I was also given a lot of support when mum first moved in.

My dad came to Drovers in May 2019 for a short stay. I fought very hard to keep my dad here full time. I have had bad experiences of family in residential care homes but when I came to look around Drovers I instantly knew and felt this was the place for my dad. Good, clean, extremely friendly home. Staff have made my dad feel so welcome and they worked very hard to settle and take good care of my dad. Most of all, due to working long hours I am able to get an update on how my dad is doing through the gateway system on a daily basis. All homes should have this in place. Overall I am extremely happy and know my dad is in good hands.

My family member has been a full-time resident of Drovers House for almost a year now and overall we have been very happy with his care. The staff are friendly, helpful and he likes them. He loves the food and there are plenty of activities on offer and staff do encourage residents to take part. Some of the staff go above and beyond their duties and take people out in their own time. The environment is modern, attractive and clean and there’s a lovely garden and communal areas for those who want to participate. We really liked that we could take his personal things there and make his room feel like home.

My mum had a 2 week respite stay at Drover's House. It was such a good experience for her and for me.

Planning for her stay included a visit to her home by the manager to get to know a bit about beforehand. The environment, support, care staff and use of technology for keeping in touch with her whilst we were away were excellent. She really enjoyed her "holiday" and so did we. Thank you so much.

My mum has recently had a two week respite period at Drovers House, I can honestly say that the care she received was excellent.

The carers treated the residents with respect and kindness and nothing was too much trouble. They were always smiling and interacting with the residents.

The home is well laid out being spacious, with numerous lounges and different areas such as a coffee lounge and hairdressing salon.

Should my mum need care in the future I would definitely choose this home.
