We were delighted to find such exceptional respite care for my mother in law.
We felt able to go away knowing her every need was taken care of. The manager and staff were kind, caring and thoughtful. They were also very professional and efficient in their care.
They kept my mother in law engaged
and busy with tasks and activities which is exactly what she needed to settle in.
I would not hesitate to recommend St Mary's. In our experience it's a very special place and provides excellent care, often going above and beyond.

My mother has been a resident here for some time, and overall, our experience has been positive. She seems reasonably content, and there have been no significant complaints. The staff are attentive and ensure that her needs are met, providing a warm and supportive environment.
From what I've observed,
she is well looked after, with a good standard of care and attention to detail. The home maintains a subtle yet effective approach to security, which reassures me without feeling intrusive. This thoughtful balance allows residents to feel comfortable while ensuring their safety.
In terms of atmosphere, the care home fosters a peaceful and homely setting, which contributes to my mother's overall well-being. While no place is perfect, the consistency in care and the evident dedication of the staff to each individual resident make it a good choice for those seeking reassuring support for their loved ones.

In one word, OUTSTANDING, we moved my 95 year old Mother in Law who suffers from Alzheimer's and Dementia to St Mary's at the beginning of April 25 from another establishment.
The manager could not do enough for us, she really put our minds at rest right from the minute we walked through the front
door to have a look for a possible room for Mum.
You can tell that ALL the staff love working at St Mary's, every time we go to visit Mum she is taking part in some sort of activity, from Bingo to flower arranging to Easter bonnet making to nice walks along Worthing Pier for tea.
Mum settled in very quickly which is all down to great team work at St Mary's, the care she receives is totally amazing, the room is spotless (and you can move your own furniture in if you wish) the food is very nice, the activities are great, there is a quiet area, tv room, separate dining area and one of the nicest stained glass chapels I've ever seen.
Would definitely recommend.

My sister chose St Marys for herself and was there for five and a half years. The care she had was excellent through out her time there right until she died in January 2025
The care she received was always appropriate to her needs and changed as she became more frail. As visitors we were always treated
pleasantly and we were always made aware of any changes to my sisters condition or care. I told the manager of the home that I never had any concerns about my sister as she was so well looked after. I can thoroughly recommend this home

I believe my sister has settled in quite well, despite decreasing mobility which makes her care more complex. There have been a couple of medical issues which were managed by St. Mary's which I was unaware of and noted/ noticed during a visit, prior to June 2024. I sometimes find it difficult to speak
to a member of staff during my visit regarding any concerns as I am normally referred to a Senior, who may or may not have the time or availability as they are supporting other residents. I believe that over time I will establish a system for communicating effectively with my sister's carers. I really like the atmosphere at St. Mary's and all team members have been welcoming during my visit. I live quite a distance away so the use of the car park is very good. The activities and general entertainment programmes seem very well thought through and organised.

St Mary's has cared for Mum for 4 years and she is so happy there. Mum can be anxious but the care she is given and the love the carers share mean that she is super happy and we are very pleased with her care.

My mother has been a resident of St Mary's since December 2023 and we have been extremely happy with our choice. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home and all staff members are very kind, caring and professional. They get to know the person and know their likes and dislikes which makes it feel more
family than care. I have seen many situations diffused with kindness, compassion, distraction or even a lighthearted joke. The building and the residents are kept immaculately clean (no funny smells anywhere). The food is tasty and there is a good variety to choose from.

All staff I observe are attentive with needs of residents. Also extremely patient where my Aunt is concerned due to some unrealistic demands. Great to see my Aunt in her wheelchair outside in Worthing Town Centre last week.

The atmosphere at St Mary's is truly personal and homely, the abundance of genuine love and constant laughter has allowed my Mum to feel beyond safe and at home. The constant feedback on a one-to-one basis is above and beyond the normal call of duty. The consistency of the staff is another big plus.
As I am away for long periods of time I am always kept up to date and should a concern arise it is always dealt with. There is not a single sector that I can find fault with. Bravo Team St Mary's.

Highly recommend St Mary's Residential Care Home. Staff can't do enough. Staff are very respectful and listen. Staff very cheerful and cheer me up and we have a laugh. Everyone from manager to laundry staff helped my stay here. I would come again.

My brother has been at St Mary's since February 2023. He is difficult to deal with as, apart from his mobility problems, he refuses to go out or join in with anything. However, the staff seem to have got used to him and treat him well and he is happy. I have marked activities as such because my brother
won't take part and I have marked value for money accordingly as his placement is paid for by the council.

An excellent care home with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. The home is kept scrupulously clean and tidy and is well stocked with the essentials.
On the negative side - the staff numbers mean that those in post appear to be overworked and are consequently not able to spend much time with residents,
particularly if they want to go outside into the gardens (as most need to be accompanied).
Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives by a considerable margin.

Dad went to St Mary's after a short hospital stay. He settled in so quickly, and all of the staff are absolutely wonderful, and the care team treat him with such respect and dignity, which is so important for us as a family to see. I visit a friend at St Mary's fortnightly, phoning her weekly. The staff are always helpful and welcoming and are looking after my friend kindly and attentively. My friend is very articulate, and the staff have enjoyed engaging with her. The home is always clean, tidy and welcoming.
