I have a very dear friend in the home, she is unable to walk but the care she receives is amazing. Every time I visit, I am made welcome by the staff and nothing is ever too much trouble. The atmosphere of the home is brilliant, staff are always happy, smiling, laughing, joking with the residents. There
are always activities going off and something to do.

Our initial inspection three years ago impressed us far more than other homes in the area, despite some bad reviews that we had read.
From day one my mother was looked after, kept clean, and was well attended to. She went on to spend over three years in the care of Mulberry Manor, and as her condition
deteriorated, her care and compassion were adjusted to suit.
As an only child, burdened with the knowledge that my mother never wanted to end up in a nursing home, the care she received enabled me to feel satisfied that she was in the best place to meet her needs.
I cannot praise the care staff - who attended my mother - highly enough as in my opinion they all go beyond the call off duty and I witnessed this firsthand as I spent my mother's final days round the clock at her bedside. They have a tedious job to do and they do it with endless patience.

My family member is in Mulberry Manor, I’ve always liked this home, however, it’s really nice to see the changes the home's making. The management are really approachable and nothing is too much trouble, all the staff lovely and kind, they're caring with my relative. They do activities with my relative
having her nails painted, there has been times I’ve come to visit and they’ve been in the lounge area doing a group activity. It’s really nice to see the positive changes!

I needed respite for my father who is 87 with Parkinsons/Dementia. I was recommended Mulberry Manor by another user whose wife has dementia - I was nervous at leaving dad at first but at the end of his respite I was actually sad he had to leave. Staff are all so friendly and treat patients with respect
and humour, even management are so approachable and friendly. Rooms so clean and cosy - food fab. Dad will be going back 100% Thank you.

I would highly recommend Mulberry Manor Care Home. All the staff are very helpful, good and kind. Also, all the staff treat all their residents to a very high standard (all treated the same). We are very happy to know that our aunty is being very well cared for. Many thanks to all the staff at Mulberry
Manor.

During dad's brief spell at Mulberry Manor, I found the manager and the staff caring and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. Sadly, the home can't offer the nursing care that dad now needs. We are now looking for an EMI/nursing home.

My relation went into Mulberry Manor in April for respite. She had broken her wrist and was there for two months whilst she got back on her feet. She was looked after by lovely and caring staff until she went back home. November, she was not well again and Mulberry Manor took her back in for respite
again which was much appreciated by family. They looked after her again, I know I only have to pick the phone up and ring them if she needs looking after again or it becomes permanent. Thank you, Mulberry Manor, for your care.

I can't fault the home. Both myself and my family have been very pleased with the care and attention my wife has received. The home is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly.

Mulberry Manor is an outstanding care home. My mother's mental health and physical health is complex. The staff always resolve difficult issues.
The food is excellent, the home is clean and my mother can always have a choice and is treated with dignity and respect.
The manager has always contacted
me regarding issues with my mum and kept me informed. She is an asset to the company and goes above and beyond. Excellent. My mum is happy so I'm happy.

The staff are very caring and look after my sister very well. She calls Mulberry Manor her home now and is very settled in and this is a welcomed surprise to us all.
But we have had to ask for her not to be taken on their outings as it unsettles her for a couple of days.
We thank the staff for their
care.

I would describe the care home to have an open, honest and transparent approach to how they deliver the level of care between themselves as a provider and the service user and their family.
Placing a relative into a care home can be an upsetting time for a family but Mulberry Manor takes off a little
bit of the pressure and allows you to be a relative again.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.473)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.473) out of 10 for Mulberry Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.655 for Mulberry Manor is calculated as follows: ( (99 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 119 Ratings = 4.655
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.818 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Mulberry Manor is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 registered maximum number of service users is 9.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.918
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
