Dad was admitted into Morton Manor in October as he has late stage Alzheimer's, this has been a very difficult time for our family however the manager has helped ease our worries in his professional and approachable manner . Dad has been treated with dignity and respect and is well looked after here
. The staff are genuine and lovely and you can tell they really care for the residents. Everyone of them is approachable and happy to discuss any concerns and worries . The manager in particular has spent a lot of time with us discussing care and even visited Dad in his own home before he was admitted which meant he was familiar which is so important . This team of staff are so important as the genuine care of residents is the most important thing to us and knowing Dad is safe and looked after is priceless. Thank you .
Reply from Neal Campbell, Manager at Morton ManorThankyou for the feedback Claire. The information you have provided will be cascaded to the team. We always aim to do our very best to support all residents in our care

My husband had a 2 week placement at Abbey Village after a long hospital stay before he returned home.
The staff were kind, polite and friendly. They knew their residents as individuals with differing interests and concerns. There were lots of activities but no compulsion to participate.
The accomodation
was basic but was kept clean and tidy.
The team, led by the very capable manager, Louise, pulled together to provide the best care for the residents.
Reply from Louise Zoltaszek, Registered Manager at Abbey VillageThank you for your kind words Penny and i will feed this back to all of the staff at Abbey Village. It has been a pleasure supporting your husband and you.

My Dad had to go into respite care a couple of weeks ago. I was very worried as my experience of other care homes has not been good.
However on arrival I felt I had walked into a big happy family. The residents were smiling and chatty and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and
answered any questions I had. They were able to still my anxiety's and Dad was soon settled, chatting and making some new friends. The staff are conscientious and caring and encourage Dad to interact and keep him engaged which helps with his dementia.
If you want a caring family atmosphere for your loved one then this is the right place to try!!!
Reply from Emily Cornall, Registered Manager at Rotherwood Care HomeThank you for taking the time to write such a positive review, it is a pleasure to care for your dad. I know the staff and manager will appreciate your kind words.

My Mum - Linda entered Morton Manor on 18 November 2024 after a terrible experience in hospital starting August 2024. The team at Morton Manor nursed Linda over a period of almost 12 months. They cured her bed sores, stabilised her medical conditions and provided a safe environment for Linda to build
up her health and confidence. This resulted in Linda going for bedbound on arrival to being able to have a phased return to independent living with my Dad concluding in her discharge on 7 November 2025. Neal and the Team were kind and caring to Linda and my Dad. We cannot thank Morton Manor enough for what they have done for Linda. Linda is now looking forward to Christmas 2025 at home with Dad and her family and is making plans for 2026. Thank you to all at Morton Manor from. Linda, Allan and the family.
Reply from Neal Campbell, Manager at Morton ManorWe would like to thank you for the positive comments and it was a great pleasure looking after Linda and see her flourish. When we were looking for respite for my Dad this was the only home that said 'No appointment needed come see us anytime' We went the same day and found the right place for my dad. The Manager and staff are fabulous they go out of there way to support residents and families. Home cooked menu all the
time and always encouring residents to join others for meals etc.

My dad was in for 3 weeks respite and then stayed an extra few months before he sadly passed away.

Many thanks to all the staff the care was exceptional and we would definitely recommend this care home to others.

Louise (the Manager) is the most supportive Manager I have ever spoken to. She listens and sorts out all our concerns regarding my Dad and answers everything we ask of her. I'm always happy to approach her and she always finds time to speak to us should we need her. Both herself and her staff care
for my Dad exceptionally well and he is happy being at Abbey Village. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the care my Dad needs and they treat him like they would their own family. He has lovely meals made fresh which he thoroughly enjoys and they treat my dad with respect and compassion.
Thank you to a great team of staff - we are eternally grateful for you support and care.

When my grandmother first came to Abbey Village, we were shocked with how terribly ran it was, the previous manager ran the home into the ground and how unmanaged and unsafe the home was for residents.
Under the new manager Louise we have seen the home grow into a happy and safe place to be, my grandmother
is happy, healthy and safe. Thank you Louise for giving all the residents the dignity and happiness they deserve in their later lives, and thank you for giving us peace of mind that my grandmother is loved and cared for by you and your entire team, I would now recommend this home and feel confident that my grandmother will continue to be happy in your care.
Reply from Louise Zoltaszek, Registered Manager at Abbey VillageGood afternoon Michelle, Thank you for your kind words. Rotherwood Care Home

My mother went into Rotherwood Care Home last December (2024) for respite, and with her Alzheimer's we decided she should stay permanently. At home she had carers visiting, but was often alone. At Rotherwood she had company, joined in activities, and celebrated Christmas and her birthday, which gave
me real peace of mind.
The staff regularly shared photos, which meant a lot since I live in the USA and couldn't visit often. Communication was always clear, and they contacted me promptly if there were any problems.
When Mum moved onto palliative care, the team provided compassionate, dignified support that went beyond what she received from the nursing staff at the hospital. I'm deeply grateful to everyone at Rotherwood for their kindness and for giving my mother comfort, dignity, and companionship in her final months.

Denvernshire care (Mulburry Manor) seems to be more bothered with money rather than the residents. Hardly any improvements have been made to the home and any decorations have been provided by the staff and residents families. There is no where near enough staff to deal with the upper floor where the
residents are homed (dementia). They are rarely taken in to the garden, which has hardly any seating for the people that live there. When they do go outside there are hardly shaded areas. She pays nearly £1000 for her care and what she receives is disgusting. It's very basic and just covers the basic standard of living. Get up, fed and go to bed.
Reply from Poppy Wasteney, Home Manager at Mulberry ManorI am very sorry to hear the concerns you have raised. We have an open door policy here at Mulberry Manor and management are available to discuss any concerns you may have. The home has undergone many improvements since Devonshire Care took over with many more still planned. All residents spend time outside, including your Mum. Please ask to see the lovely photos we have on your next visit to the home. The home is correctly staffed, we use a dependency staffing tool to ensure this. We have a wide range of activities held within the home and recent outings such as a barge trip with afternoon tea. It would be lovely to be able sit and have a chat with you to show you all the wonderful things happening at Mulberry Manor.
