I have been visiting my sister here for past 23 months, about every 6 weeks. I have always been welcomed by the staff who immediately see to my needs after my long journey. I have been given lunch when appropriate. The atmosphere is a happy one with carers attentive to the needs of the residents on the ground floor accommodation. The entertainment provided in the afternoon has been varied and well received. All have been excellent, particularly these that require a physical response like armchair yoga. More sessions like this, I'm sure, would be welcomed if they were available and affordable.
Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review. We are delighted that you are happy with the care, support and atmosphere in the home. The team work hard every day to create a warm, welcoming environment, and it means a great deal to know this is felt and appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
My mum has been in Ocean Breeze since March 2025. My sister and I visited many homes before walking into Ocean Breeze. There was an instant good feeling of a homely atmosphere. My mum settled very quickly due to kind, gentle staff, introduced her to a long-standing resident who has become invaluable in helping mum to settle in so well.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly delighted to hear that you're happy with the care we provide at Ocean Breeze. Our team works hard to ensure every resident feels safe, valued, and supported
My daughter came to live in Ocean Breeze Care Home in late January and immediately I found the staff extremely kind and understanding of her needs (she is also visually impaired) and although it's only a few weeks she seems to have settled. The home provides activities and entertainment throughout the week which is very beneficial for my daughter. Her room is kept clean as is her bathroom. She is offered drinks throughout the day and a choice of menu. The staff are polite, kind and friendly and I thoroughly recommend O B Care Home.
Hello, thank you for your lovely 5* review, we are so pleased to hear you are happy with the care we provide here, I will pass your lovely review onto the team.
Having decided my husband would have to go into a care home, I did as much research as possible and visited as many local homes (+ there are many!) as I could. Ocean Breeze stood out, clean, cheerful - games were being played in the lounge, everyone (including the staff) seemed happy, a lovely atmosphere. This initial impression was borne out over the six years my husband was there (he died of dementia in September 2024) + the incredible care, love + attention he received could not have been bettered. The staff also liaised with me extremely well keeping me fully informed of any matters to do with my husbands health and well being. In my opinion Ocean Breeze in an excellent, outstanding home + I would (+ do) unreservedly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your wonderful 5* review, it was a pleasure to care for your husband, I will pass on your lovely review to the care team, please feel free to pop in to see us anytime.
My mother was depressed in her previous home and she is thriving. It's great to see how happy and positive about life she is now. The carers are fantastic and the programme of entertainment and quizzes really keeps her mind and interest high.
Thank you for your wonderful review, we are so pleased that Mum is thriving, all the staff love Mum and it's a pleasure to care for her.
From signing in, the welcome was warm and friendly up to date information given about the residents welfare. The premises were clean and fresh hygiene being a priority.
In the lounge area, lots of entertainment was provided and the staff always engaged and encouraged the residents to join in.
A healthy and good selection of food was provided and fantastic tea and homemade cake was provided.
Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home provides a home from home experience, caring exemplary for all residents.
Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review. We are so pleased you were happy with the care we provided. We loved having Mum as part of our Ocean Breeze family. Please feel free to come and see us and the other residents any time.
The home is clean, and well maintained, and the residents are well looked after.
Having a parent with Alzheimer's is never easy, but the manager and the team are wonderful. They all go above and beyond to make sure everything is covered, and care is given in the best way possible.
What stands out for me, is how much management care for the residents. There is a real sense of love for my mother, and I know they'd care for her in the same way they would their own parents. That's a rare quality, but something we've picked up on. Can't ask for anything more.
Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star reviews, we are so pleased you are happy with the care we provide and love having Mum as part of our Ocean Breeze family.
Amazing doesn't begin to describe the wonderful experience we've had working alongside the manager and all at Ocean Breeze to get the best care possible for my mother-in-law. We were nervous about moving her initially, but have all been made to feel so welcome and at ease, we couldn't recommend them enough! Fabulous staff and atmosphere.
Thank you for your wonderful 5-star review, we are so pleased you are happy with the care we provide.
My father-in-law is a resident at Ocean Breeze. What a fantastic caring home. Staff are so helpful and friendly, always smiling. When you arrive to visit there is a happy atmosphere, always doing entertainment activities. You feel so at ease that the staff show so much care towards family.
Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review, we are so pleased you are happy with the care provided.
The staff are amazing. They clearly know their residents very well and are attentive and caring. We are able to visit whenever we like and the communication between us and the management is great. My parents are very happy there and I love the fact that they spend so much time in the communal lounge, rather than in their room and I have never heard alarms going off, which I had experienced in a different care home and found very distressing. I can't rate this care home enough.
Hello, thank you for your wonderful 5-star review, we are so please your happy with the care we provide.
They were absolutely amazing during a recent spell of illness she had. We were kept informed of all treatments and consulted regularly.
We can totally relax now and know that she is safe and cared for, but above all, she is happy. Well done, Ocean Breeze.
Hello Julie, thank you so much for your wonderful five-star review. We are so pleased you are happy with the care provided at Ocean Breeze.
When I visited Ocean Breeze, I had to wait for ages to enter and leave the building as sometimes there were no staff about.
We are sorry to read your comments regarding the care home. We now have a new management team, and they are already making progress in changing the atmosphere within the care home. Every effort is being made to ensure our residents are being kept stimulated with both activities and music, etc....
Going into a home was hard for my mum as she has dementia, but the Ocean Breeze team settled her in very quickly. They were all amazing; everyone is so caring, kind and gentle, even when she tested them! The home has a lovely, calm atmosphere, and all the staff are so cheery. It is lovely to visit and see my mum with such kind people, and I completely trust them with her. Thank you, team Ocean Breeze.
My father went to Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home around October last year due to a fall at home, he is well looked after and the staff are first-class in all areas. My mother joined him in December 2022, initially for a two-week respite break but ended up staying as she clearly needed full-time care. Again, the staff looked after her and work so hard and are always on hand to help, it is a lovely atmosphere for a care home. Everyone seems so happy. I am so pleased that I chose Ocean Breeze as it feels like home from home, I am always welcome.
Would highly recommend Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home.
Thank you to the great management and staff.
Excellent care home. Staff are extremely caring and supportive and treat Mum with dignity. They are cheerful and friendly and always welcoming. Would highly recommend Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home. Mum is really happy there and so well looked after. Thank you to the great management and staff.
Thank you for your kindness. It is really important for us to know that our efforts are recognised and that we reach our aim: to offer a happy, caring environment. Ocean Breeze team.
Sadly passed away this week.
The staff have been amazing in dealing with my mother's needs.
The home is clean and tidy and a stone's throw from the sea and I would recommend Ocean Breeze to anyone.
My father was in a number of care homes prior to Ocean Breeze where his experience was not good. We have found the staff at Ocean Breeze are professionally trained and experienced in giving excellent care for the needs of their residents. The kindness and compassion of staff made my father's stay a calming and relaxing environment to be in. they allowed us access at any time for visits and to take Dad out in his wheelchair. We also found the staff very supportive towards us and would highly recommend this care home.
Thank you very much for your feedback. It means a lot for us, knowing our work is recognised and appreciated. Your feedback gives us the motivation to go forward. All the best and it was a pleasure to have met Dad and his lovely family.
Home from home immediately comes to mind when describing this residential care home. In addition to this is the immensely impressive caring, friendly and efficient staff. The meals are superb and the cleanliness throughout admirable. We are extremely fortunate to have been recommended to this facility.
Ocean Breeze is a care Home and that is what it is, with bells on! My mother spent 9 months here and felt safe and happy. She loved having a garden. It has a family atmosphere and the residents receive daily sociable activities. To me, they care for body, mind and soul. I can't praise enough the manager, and all her staff.
