Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home

My Mum lived at Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home for just over 2 years and we can't say enough amazing things about them all. She was so happy and safe here and it was such a relief to us to have found somewhere so brilliant for her. In her final days, they were kind, caring and made sure she kept every ounce of her dignity. They were supportive to our family and always went the extra mile to accommodate us. The area of Barton On Sea is so beautiful, especially in the summer.

I am no longer able to live by myself due to age and illness, so have been looking for a placement in full-time care. My family and I spent much time in search of the perfect care home. After research into many residential care homes, Ocean Breeze care home proved to be the most suitable care home for my welfare, for my life. Run by a family concern, we chose this superb care home for offering me superb accommodation. An amazing family run concern with a town nearby with the highest of standards.

My Mum was in Ocean Breeze for just under 3 years till she sadly passed away from old age in October 2020. During her time at the home, she was treated with dignity and kindness. The care team couldn’t do enough to help her, encouraging her to take part in activities even though sometimes she was reluctant. I can not fault Mum’s end of life care, she always wanted to die in her sleep in her home and she got her wish, surrounded by familiar voices her family. I was allowed to visit Mum and hold her hand and cuddle her in the final days which was a comfort to me. The home is a family and Mum and I were part of that family.

My father-in-law has been at Ocean Breeze for two years. The management and staff ensure that his health and wellbeing is taken care of accordingly. We are kept informed and updated of any changes in his wellbeing weekly or if needed daily. We are always made welcome. Since Covid 19, things have been difficult but Ocean Breeze work to maintain stability for all concerned. It is a credit to management and staff for ensuring that father-in-law is in good hands and we feel confident that he is well looked after.

My wife has been in this care home since November 2019, it has been excellent. I cannot fault it in any way. If anyone else in a care home gets this standard they are very lucky.

I cannot speak too highly of the care my Uncle has received from Ocean Breeze. From the initial visit to assess him in hospital, through the process of admitting him and his care over the past year, the staff have been wonderful, caring, supportive, observant and always communicative with me and my sister. A wonderful example of what a care home should be. Thank you to the Manager and team.

Ocean Breeze is a really happy and caring home, a real 'home'.

Back in March when my sister and brother in law went into Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home, my brother in law only had 9 days there before he died. I cannot speak highly enough of the attention, dignity and care and love that was shown to him in his last 3 days he was dying. Overall I am satisfied with the general standard of the home. The staff work hard and treat people with love and respect and my sister, considering the grief still, has settled very well. The biggest factor of annoyance is the laundry when my sister gets other peoples clothes and on occasion has been wearing them.

We can not thank Ocean Breeze enough for the excellent care our cousin received during her 3 and a half years at this lovely care home.

When looking for a care home for my father I visited several that were good and I'm sure would have taken good care of dad, however, I wanted somewhere where those caring for him would love him and want to get to know him well so they could provide the best of care for him and in Ocean Breeze, I feel I found it. It has a homely atmosphere run by a great team.

Every day the time if filled up with lovely activities that everyone enjoys, mum has taken part in things she has never done before. I come away knowing that mum is happy and in safe hands.

My mother has settled very quickly and is benefitting from the care and kindness of the first rate management and staff.

We have not regretted one moment in choosing Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home, staff are friendly and professional. We have visited at different times of day and always been impressed by the care and security.

My mother was previously in another local home where she did not leave her room on any occasion. I felt that this was not good for her at all and so after one month we moved her to the Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home. What a difference the staff at Ocean Breeze have made, my mother now looks forward to joining in the homes many activities and is visibly so much happier. I cannot praise the staff enough for their genuine care, nothing is a problem to them and they always have a smile on their faces no matter what they are facing. My mother is 96 years old and we now expect her to be around for a long time yet thanks to the brilliant care that she enjoys at this home.

I would highly recommend Ocean Breeze to anyone looking for a safe, caring and happy 'family' home environment for their loved ones to live. Residents are treated with respect from caring staff who encourage, listen and engage with them through all manner of daily activities and tasks. Nothing is too much trouble. Family and friends are invited to join in the fun at any time. Their view is "life is for living" and that is exactly what happens here.

Food is good and staff very friendly.

My dear Mum is a resident of this lovely establishment. She is in need of one on one care and after 18 homes had turned my Mum down Ocean Breeze did what was necessary to provide the care needed by employing extra help. The staff are very friendly and professional. The home itself is clean and has a bight happy feel to it. They spend time doing lots of activities each day. The food is of a high standard too. The manager and deputy manager are the best, extremely knowledgeable and very professional.

The staff work hard at making it a great place to live for those that can't live independently anymore.

I feel really happy here, the staff are so friendly and kind and always helpful. The food is plentiful and I know I am in good hands.

Ocean Breeze is a beautiful place to be. All of the staff are amazing, dedicated and so kind and caring to the residents, nothing is too much trouble. I am so relieved that my parents are here, they are comfortable, well fed and safe at last - as good as it gets away from their own home. I would recommend this care home to anyone without reservation.
