I go once a week to visit a neighbor, I'm always treated with respect, have very good staff, and very helpful. Amwell is a beautiful home very well-led. Spotless staff are always interacting with the residents .. residents are always smiling and relaxed.
Thank you for your kind review. I am so pleased to hear of your experience when visiting the service. We will of course share this review with the staff as they always welcome feedback. I do hope your neighbor continues to enjoy the services provided by the home. Once again thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
The care provided to my Mother is beyond expectation. All staff without exception are very kind courteous and friendly whilst providing a warm and safe environment throughout. Professionalism at its best!
Wow, thank you! It is a pleasure to support your family here at The Amwell. Thank you.
I come here on a regular basis and it's a lovely place, great atmosphere. Always welcomed by the lovely member of staff on the front desk. The staff are friendly and everyone is very well looked after. Would recommend to anyone.
Thank you for your kind review! We will share this with our team. Lovely to hear your great comments. It is our pleasure to welcome you into our home!
My Nanna moved into the care home a month ago now, the positive change in her is incredible. She was very reluctant to move into a care home at all, however today she told me that she is happy here and feels like this is her new home. She’s made friends with other residents. She loves the food and is eating well again! She enjoys all the wonderful activities and loves getting her hair done.
Thank you for your kind review! We will share this with the team! Thank you.
My mother-in-law has been in The Amwell for about a year now. The care is great and responsive to needs. The staff is lovely and nothing is too much for them. My mother-in-law is very happy there. There are lots of activities available to do from pamper sessions to armchair yoga and use of the gym equipment under supervision plus lots of other activities. The management is visible within the home and attended my mother-in-law’s 98th birthday celebration within the home. The home has a homely feel and is nicely presented.
Thank you for your kind review. We will share this with the team!
Residents all look lovely and happy and well-kept. A singer was present during my visit and the residents looked so happy. Go team Amwell.

The care my Dad received between mid-December and early March was absolutely perfect. The team maintained my Dad's dignity until the day he died and treated him as a friend rather than a patient/resident. When visiting Dad, my Mum and I always felt welcome and during the last two weeks of his life, they made us feel like part of their family. We have already recommended this care home to our friends and family and would strongly recommend it to others too. Thank you.
Thank you for your review! This is very kind. I will pass to our team they will really appreciate your kind words!
Always a warm and friendly welcome at reception. All the staff are kind and caring of visitors and residents. Activities are above and beyond expectations. Lots of things to do in a great atmosphere for both visitors and residents. Really is a lovely place.
Thank you for your kind review. This really means alot and will be shared with our team! Thank you.
Warm, welcoming, and caring staff. The staff interact with residents and there are plenty of options for residents to get involved in different activities. The feel of Amwell is very warm and homely. My friend's father settled easily and was very content.
Thank you.
The staff genuinely care about their residents, treating them with compassion and allowing residents dignity and comfort and treating families with understanding and kindness at what is a difficult time.
Thank you for the review, it really means a lot! We will share this with our team. Thank you!
I have been very pleased with my mother’s care at the Amwell. I spent 2 weeks at my mother’s side there, as she is bed-bound and is very weak since she broke her hip, and the senior and junior staff have been helpful kind and very accommodating to my mother’s needs which are plentiful at this moment. The staff have shown concern and care for her welfare and the management are extremely prepared to help sort out any future problems arising, as I live overseas.
Thank you Diana! It is our pleasure to support Mum and great to spend time with you too. Thank you for your kind review, your words really do go a long way!
On arrival at Amwell to visit my friend, I am always greeted with warmth and a friendly face. I see this replicated throughout the home, and I feel reassured that my friend is in good hands. I've heard about the amazing activities and can see many happy, smiles from the other residents.
Thank you for your kind review! We will share it with our team!
I visited the Amwell as a friend of one of the residents. I thought the facilities and staff were excellent, and everywhere I saw was very clean. The staff treated the residents with dignity and friendliness.
Thank you for your kind review! We appreciate this and will share it with the team!
Lovely and welcoming staff. All knew my grandad well and were able to provide him with the best care. Thank you to everyone at The Amwell Care Home for the care you provided and for the support given to my family during my grandad's time with you.
Thank you for your kind review! It was our pleasure to support Grandad. Your words go along way- thank you so much!
We attended a tour and soon got to realise the Amwell stood out from a few care homes I’d visited whilst looking for the best one to suit Dad's needs and personality.
Feeling nervous when we arrived we were soon made to feel so welcome the moment we headed to Reception. Was welcoming and made us feel comfortable straight away.
Amazing care home from the very beginning and chose for our father to move in where he is very happy. Our family and friends love visiting Dad and it’s wonderful to hear they are happy with his new surroundings.
Staff always helpful and a pleasure to chat with.
Thank you for your review. The words are lovely and really embody what we aim for. Thank you!
I am a teacher and volunteer regularly at The Amwell. Through my experience, The Amwell Care home is a welcoming and inviting care home with a great atmosphere. When I walk in it always appears fresh and clean and smells delightful. All the Amwell staff are polite and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The residents seem extremely happy and busy. The activities team go above and beyond to make the days enjoyable.
Thank you so much! We appreciate and are grateful for all of your support!
I would just like to express my gratitude for the care and patience shown by the staff at The Amwell. From the minute you walk through the door, it feels more like a hotel than a care home. Nan went there temporarily in 2022 and then permanently in 2023. She is very happy there and it’s lovely to visit her. The weekly hairdresser is also lovely to keep up her old habits. There’s always an activity/outing going on so she can get involved and to keep her entertained. Thanks again all, keep up the amazing work.
Thank you for your kind review! It is our pleasure! I will ensure this review is passed on to our team. Thank you again.
Mum has been in Amwell Care Home since October of last year and I would not put her in anywhere else as the care and love she gets from the staff is brilliant and she is very settled there. Well done team Amwell. Keep up the good work.
I will ensure this is passed onto our team.
Thank you again, our pleasure!
From my initial enquiry on the telephone, I felt confident in choosing The Amwell Care Home for my loved one. The minute I walked into the building, I was welcomed by the lovely front-of-house lady. She empathised with my circumstances and the difficult choice I had to make. She had a good knowledge of the care home when I had my tour. Now settled in the home, the care is good, needs met and staff know my loved one well. The entertainment team are outstanding.
Thank you for your review, this is really appreciated. It is our pleasure to have supported you and your family here at The Amwell. We will share your feedback with the team. Kindest regards.
From the first enquiry about respite care for my parents, I found Amwell staff extremely responsive and helpful. I was very impressed with the ambience of The Amwell Care Home when I visited and the staff who visited my parents at our home to assess them for the planned respite could not have been more detailed in their enquiries informative or reassuring. When I took my parents to The Amwell I was very impressed with their preparation for my parent's visit and they could not have been more welcoming. When I left I felt very confident my parents would be well cared for. I love the relaxed and comfortable arrangement at The Amwell. My impression is that it is very well run by management and caring and attentive staff. Food was excellent and efforts to engage with service users and provide entertainment highly commended. I enjoyed my visits to see my parents and am very grateful for the rest they gave me.
We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and share your experience.
