I would like to introduce myself as the Registered Manager for Scissett Mount Care Home. During my career, I have supported people with a wide range of diverse needs. My passion for care was strong at the very beginning of my journey and has grown significantly in enhancing the lives of people who use our service. My career in Health & Social care began 33 years ago.
My journey has included working with adults who have had special care needs, learning disabilities, mental health needs, transgender individuals, epilepsy, behaviours that challenge individual lives, and adults with dementia/Alzheimer's disease.
My focus is driven by my passion to ensure people who use our service are safe and content.
My name is Maggie Gilroy, and I am the Deputy Manager at Scissett Mount Care Home.
I’ve been part of the Scissett Mount community for five years and stepped into the Deputy Manager position in November 2024.
I began my career in care in 2012, with most of my experience centred around supporting residents living with dementia.
I work closely with my team every day, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone who calls Scissett Mount home enjoys a warm, fulfilling, and sociable living environment.
