Pendle Brook doesn't have set visiting times – the home is always open to visitors. Friends and family are welcome to pop in at any time to see loved ones in rooms, lounges, and other communal areas. Residents have the right to decide who they see and when, and are also free to get up and go to bed when it suits them.

I’m the Registered Manager of Pendle Brook Care Home and have worked in the care sector since 2007. I started my journey as a care assistant at the age of 17, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for supporting others and making a real difference in people’s lives.
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, and I lead with a firm but fair approach. I believe in setting high standards while also creating a supportive, positive environment for both residents and staff. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping team members grow and achieve their own goals and aspirations within the care profession.
Care isn’t just a job for me—it’s something I truly believe in. My aim is to ensure that Pendle Brook is not only a place of safety and dignity for our residents but also a place where they feel genuinely valued and cared for.

With over 19 years of experience in the care sector, I began my journey with Rochcare in 2018 as a Carer at one of our sister homes and joined Pendle Brook in 2020. Since then, I have progressed through the roles of Senior Carer and Team Leader, and now proudly serve as Deputy Manager. I hold both Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care. During my time as Team Leader, our team was honoured to be regional finalists at The Great British Care Awards—a testament to the dedication and passion we bring to our work.
Pendle Brook is more than just a workplace; we consider ourselves a family, and that sense of warmth and community is felt by everyone who walks through our doors. I find my role incredibly rewarding and feel privileged to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents who call Pendle Brook home. With over 35 years of experience in care sector catering, I have progressed from a kitchen assistant to my current role as Kitchen Manager. I have extensive knowledge of special diets and allergens, and I am committed to maintaining the highest standards in food safety and nutrition.
