Staff helpful + friendly, clean fresh rooms + comminty areas, food standard very good, clients treated with respect, even if they get sworn at, nice feeling the minute you walk through the door.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear you felt welcomed and appreciated our friendly team, clean environment, good food, and respectful approach to everyone. Your feedback means a lot to us.
The wellbeing team is vibrant and dedicated, regularly visiting residents for chats and organizing engaging weekly entertainment. I also value the clinical support, including regular doctor visits and the availability of on-site nurses to discuss medical concerns. Additionally, the in-house hairdresser is a service my sister as she likes to keep her hair nice.
I find the management team excellent, especially Jess as i appreciate the responsiveness whenever I reach out for advice or to discuss my sister's care. The secured landscaped garden also provides a lovely, peaceful space for anyone to spend time together during visits.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It means a great deal to the whole team.
We're delighted to hear that your sister is happy here and that our care, wellbeing activities, clinical support, and facilities give you peace of mind. Thank you also for your lovely comments about me, they are...
Just knowing she is in a safe careing place. Its nice to meet and talk to other patience .
We're also glad she is enjoying the company of others in the home. Your feedback means a lot to the team, and we'll make sure it is shared with everyone.
The staff are incredible and always around for anything you require, Jessica and Marianna are absolutely amazing who make sure that whatever you need will get done immediately,
A very beautiful and clean care home my mums room is cleaned every single day by amazing cleaners.
Thank you for taking the time to write such kind words regarding the home and team at Camberwell Lodge, we will pass on your compliments. It is our pleasure caring for your mother!
Facilities are clean and fit for purpose, but I have major issues with levels of communication in general, and language in particular. I live in the North of England, I lost count of the number of times I explained that I wasn't able to 'pop by', and I received sporadic updates on my Mother's care, and often only when specifically requested. There were two incidents where my Mother was taken to Hospital for checks - both times the appointment had been cancelled by the Hospital, but the staff at the home were unaware. Not only was my 85 year old Mother distressed unnecessarily, but their policy is to ask a friend or family member to assist with patient's preparation - two hours ahead of time, and to then accompany the patient in the ambulance, so their time was also wasted - having taken a day off work. Many of the staff have very poor spoken English, so both my Mother, who was hard of hearing, and myself, had real trouble understanding what was being said about her care. There's more..
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you found the facilities clean and fit for purpose, but we apologise that our communication did not meet expectations. We acknowledge the concerns raised regarding updates on care and the cancelled hospital appointments, and we are sorry for the distress...
My sister was well cared for and always well presented how she was before her Alzheimer's diagnosis. She loved the ladies in red. Our family felt trusted in her care & well being.

Mum celebrated her 90th birthday party at Camberwell Lodge. The staff were amazing and made my mum's big day extra special. The food was glorious with such a fantastic spread and an amazing barbecue, and ice cool refreshing drink. An ending with a home made cake fit for a queen! It was quite a big event with over 24 people present and everyone commented how fabulous the party was and how professional and tentative staff were at the event. It deserves more than a five star rating. Thank you to all the staff for such an amazing event.

My auntie recently stayed at Camberwell Lodge, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care she received. They made her feel comfortable and cared for at every step, ensuring she felt at home. It was reassuring for our family to see her well looked after. The home was clean, welcoming and well run with plenty of activities and nutritious meals.

My mum was reluctant to move into a care home but had to for extra support. Camberwell Lodges team went above and beyond to welcome her. She made some friends and even took part in activities to my surprise. The place is spotless and everyone is friendly. I would move in to if I could.

The management and all staff are absolutely 100% brilliant. I cannot fault whatsoever. They looked after my cousin, outstanding could not ask for more. And they also looked after me as I travelled from Bristol. I stayed 5 days to be with my cousin, I had a bed, 3 meals and coffee when I needed. This home is 100% a credit to you. Keep doing what you do. 10000000% perfect. Thank you all so much.

A close friend of mine was a resident in this care home for just under a month and I found the home of a very high standard. The home and facilities were both beautiful and spotlessly clean, my friend was expertly looked after and treated with great care and attention. The staff built good relationships with everyone who came to visit and made every effort to make everybody comfortable, constantly offered us the chance to eat and drink. It was nice to see all residents being treated with the same attention to detail. It was all very reassuring to know as obviously it is a very stressful and sometimes traumatic time and knowing my friend was cared for with great dignity was a great comfort.

I visited my aunt just before Christmas and as usual the home was looking pristine and the staff are so nice and kindly and, although my aunt is sadly no longer her old self, I know she is being very well cared for by the home’s wonderful staff.

It is our pleasure to care for your stepfather and we look forward to seeing you soon for a catch-up over a cup of tea and some cake.
My mother has been looked after at Camberwell Lodge since January 2023; she has dementia, very limited mobility, and her powers of speech are waning. I visit 4 or 5 times a week at different times, and it is a great comfort to see that whatever the day of the week or time of the day, she is always warm, clean, and well-looked after. The carers are so good with her, really kind, making jokes, and she absolutely beams at them. During the past year I've chatted a lot with the receptionists, with the well-being coordinators, the customer relations manager, the kitchen and laundry staff, and they have also been very welcoming and friendly to me, my husband, brother and another relative who visits. Her room is lovely, and the weekly hairdo is great. I wish the Lodge had more frequent use of a minibus for outings, especially for wheelchair users like my mother, but that is the only criticism I would make. It is a great relief to have her nearby and in good hands at Camberwell Lodge.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They are kind and caring and also treat residents with dignity. If you have concerns about care of your loved one they will resolve, if possible, or suggest an alternative. I have no concerns about the care they give my mother.

My mother-in-law died here this afternoon. I feel the need to report on the kindness and thoughtfulness we have all received. From a care standard point of view, every time we have visited, unannounced, she was clean, tidy, warm and well tucked up, with lighting/tv appropriately set. They cared for her, and us, with the utmost kindness and sensitivity.
Thank you very much for your kind review, Cathleen, such lovely words that we will ensure to share with the staff at Camberwell Lodge Care & Nursing Home! Nothing is too much for any member of staff. It’s so nice to see all the staff smiling and greeting visitors when I arrive.
I would also like to mention the customer relations manager. Very kind and reassuring when I spoke to her about my mum.
There’s not one thing I can fault. I'm very grateful for all the support and help given to my mum by all staff at Camberwell Lodge.

Within a matter of weeks, both have been regained and she is enjoying good nutrition and personal care, including a professional hairdresser, and enjoys the therapeutic activities she attends on a daily basis. The family have been welcomed to join her for meals in very pleasant surroundings. We would particularly like to thank one member of staff and the Customer Relations Managers for all their support help and advice.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and will pass on your compliments to our team at Camberwell Lodge.
