I am confident that my mother is well cared for at all times. She reacts positively to all members of staff, who go the extra mile to understand and adapt to meet her needs. St Mary's Lodge is her home and I would hate to think of her living anywhere else.
Thank you for taking the time ot review our home . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the St Marys Lodge family .
My aunt has been at St Mary's Lodge for nearly 3 years. She considers herself lucky to be in such a good home. She has a very nice room, likes the carers and the food. The whole place is very well kept, clean and comfortable. There was an emergency during a recent visit and the staff responded immediately, which I found very reassuring.
Thank you so much for taking time to leave a lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your Aunt is so happy with us.
The staff at St. Mary's took wonderful care of my mother, who had Alzheimer's, for almost five years. They often went above and beyond, treating her with incredible kindness and thoughtfulness, making a difficult part of our lives easier. We are so grateful!
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course sahre them the St Marys Lodge family .
First and foremost, the staff are exceptional! They are warm, compassionate, sensitive, patient and always focused on making each day as pleasurable as possible for all residents in their care.
Regular activities are offered designed to stimulate and engage, and the time of year is always reflected by wonderful seasonal decorations and uplifting entertainment.
The food is of a high standard, with a daily selection of meals to choose from, and regular drinks and snacks served throughout the day.
The Lodge is beautifully designed, offering a safe environment to relax or socialise in, with cleanliness a high priority.
Each stage of my mum's dementia is met with professionalism and compassion, giving my family not only the peace of mind that mum is getting the best care possible, but also comfort in seeing her so settled. Thank you!
Thank you Michelle for your lovely words, it is an absolute pleasure to care for your mum she brings so much joy to all of us. I will pass on your kind words to the rest of the St Marys Lodge family.
St Mary's Lodge staff continue to care for all Mums needs in a warm, homely environment. Mum is seen as an individual lady with her own personal list of preferences and dislikes. Every effort is made to provide for her.
Thank you for taking your time and kind words, i will certainly share this with the whole St Mary's Lodge team, it has been a privilege to care for your Mum for nearly 3 years and to share her journey with her and your family. Thank you!
At the beginning of December my Mother-in-law was diagnosed with numerous cancers. Unfortunately, this progressed much quicker than expected meaning she was unable to care for herself. A room at St Mary's Anlaby was quickly arranged between their admin team and the Discharge Team from Hull Royal.
From her admission to the home my Mother-in-law was immediately made welcome by the whole team, and quickly started learning their names. Even the residents would visit to say hello. When visiting with my Daughters, the staff in there made them feel welcome and even included them with some of the activities available. This made every visit to their Nana less intimidating and incentivised them to visit more often.
Unfortunately, my Mother-in-law passed after a few short weeks at St Mary's. The team were fantastic with our family and ensured the whole process was handled delicately and with care.
Thank you to the whole team for being so professional and attentive with everyone in family.
I will pass on your kind words to the whole St Marys Lodge team, I know it will mean a lot to everyone.
What a lovely clean and very friendly place. Would highly recommend it, the care my grandma got was fabulous. The staff were always available, nothing was too much and all the other residents were well looked after. The room are massive which makes it feel more homely. We just couldn't find fault with any of it.

Mum came in on the 31st of December after a stay in hospital. She was met by some amazing staff who help get her settled into her new room. The care that mum has received since she has been in St Mary's Lodge has been amazing. They have been very accommodating to mums needs and always checking in on her as she has been bed bound. They have made sure mum is comfortable. They have also made me feel welcome every time I've visited mum, kept me upto date with mum's condition and how she's been. The food that has been offered to mum has been lovely. Nice hearty meals such as lamb hotpot, beef stew with a homemade trifle. The look of the home it's self is set out nice with a welcoming look when you step through the doors. It also has an added bonus of seeing the wildlife through the windows such as squirrels playing and robins coming to the bird boxes. The home is also kept very clean and tidy with rooms cleaned daily.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful words about your mum's time with us at St Mary's Lodge. We were deeply saddened to hear of her passing and all of us send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this very difficult time.
It truly means a...
All are professional, sister-in-law is content and well looked after. Not sure about the quantity of activities on offer as I have never seen any. This home is more expensive than others in the group. I am assuming this is because of its size?

Mum has been a resident for a couple of years so the staff have been fully engaged with her changing care needs throughout this difficult period. All the staff (without exception) have been fantastic and have always demonstrated high degree of empathy and support to both mum and us as a family. Well done and thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to review our home . Your kind words are much appreciated and I will of course share them with the St Mary's Lodge team .
Our mam for the first month really didn't like it as social services made the decision to take my mum's flat off her, as it was too dangerous for her to stay there, and didn't understand why, and didn't like the change. But after a lot of explaining from my sister and I, she settled brilliantly, and knows all the staff and carers and things the lodge is beautiful and is looked after on all levels of her care and its now her home and want to stay. "Thank God"
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . It is a pleasure to care for your Mum and we are delighted at how she has settled in .
Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the St Marys Lodge Family .
Mum has been in St Marys for over 4 yrs, and she has had many ups and downs in her medical journey (Alzheimers, Depression, Psychosis); St Marys has made it possible for us to get through this as a family, and for Mum to have amazing care as we progressed. The staff are fantastic - always willing to go the extra mile, ensuring Mum is safe, loved and engaged, but also have empathy and manage her many ups and downs. They are open to feedback, take time to speak to us, and often chase up things from local GP and other hospital visits to make sure Mum is taken care of. I like the way the team are committed to their patients, and know all the residents well, and ensure that they feel part of the community. Its so hard to have a loved one cared for by others, but the St Marys team make this so much easier. We will always be grateful for the many staff - Alys, Louise, Sophie, Jo, and the rest of the team who are so wonderful with Mum. Long may they be there!
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and recognising the fabulous care that the St Marys Lodge team provide . I know that Louise and the team care for your Mum dearly . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the St Marys Lodge family.
I'm happy to say my husband settled so well at St Mary's Lodge, he says he's happy and he likes it there and to my relief he hasn't been asking to come home, even after hospital stays he was happy to return there. It's such a weight lifted off my shoulders and heart ~ Big thanks to all the lovely staff.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and taking the time to recognise the fabulous work of the St Marys Lodge team . We are delighted at how your husband has settled in . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to the team .
It amazes me how the staff are always giving 100% in what is clearly a difficult emotional and taxing job to do.
It is an agonising decision to move your loved one out of their home when you know it's the right thing to do so it's so important you get it right.
I absolutely did !
Many thanks for choosing St Mary's Lodge for your Mum's care and taking time to recognise the fabulous team . I will of course pass on your beautiful sentiments to the St Mary's lodge family .
I moved my mum into St Mary's Lodge in January following the loss of my step father. They had had a live-in carer but it became too difficult for her to remain at home without her "rock". I visited several care homes before choosing St Mary's Lodge because my mother suffers from both vascular dementia and severe mobility problems. Within days mum kept repeating that she couldn't be in a nicer place. She loves her room and the staff are all just so friendly. When I compare her care situation to my friends' parents it's clear that she and I are very fortunate to have found a room at the Lodge. Mum's happier than she has been for while and I know that she's getting the best care possible. A huge thank you to all the care team!
Thank you for choosing St Mary's Lodge for your Mums care . We are delighted how she has settled in and become a part of the homes daily life .Your sentiments are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them onto the St Mary's Lodge family
My Dad has been a resident at St Mary's Lodge for the last 2 months having been a resident in a specialist unit for nearly 2 years, I cannot thank the team enough for treating my dad with care, dignity and compassion from the moment he/ we arrived!! He has a very cruel type of Dementia and has many other health issues going on. The team has gone above and beyond to make sure his needs are met in every way possible. The home is always immaculate ,food is super, the atmosphere is warm and lovely, the team create this, always working to make sure all the residents have the highest level of care, I know my dad feels settled and happy and is having so many more Lucid moments than he has had in the last years, this is only down to how settled and cared for he feels. The manager and her team are a total credit to the care group. All of the above has given my family a much needed sense of relief that he is in the best place possible. Thankyou all
Thank you for choosing St Marys Lodge and taking the time to recognise the amazing care that the team provide . It is a privilege to care for your Dad, Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to the St Marys Lodge family .
St Mary's Lodge is the most beautifully decorated home, with the nicest of atmosphere, it is always immaculate, it doesn't smell, and Dad always looks smart, with his clothes washed and looked after. Dad is on blended foods and they always make sure he gets the nutrition he needs.
The management and all the staff have gone above and beyond to cater for all of Dad's needs, whether he is in the lounge or in his bedroom, Dad is always been watched.
We can't thank everyone enough for finally making such a difference in our experience visiting Dad. So very happy Dad is finally somewhere he deserves to be.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. It means the world to us to know that your dad has found comfort, care, and happiness at St Mary's Lodge. In addition to building relations with the clients and their families, I possess strong multitasking skills and cooperate with all systems of work, with the ability to simultaneously manage several projects and schedules. I have the drive and ambition to succeed in everything I set out to achieve. I’m very passionate about the work we do and providing the Care and support people require to live their best life.
