These last few months would've been impossible without the support of the staff and facilities at Woodland View. The staff are so friendly and helpful, I can't say enough good things about them. They've really helped Mum settle in while my Dad has been in hospital. The ensuite rooms are clean and comfortable so Mum has the choice of company in the main living areas or a bit of quiet time on her own. Highly recommended.

I cannot praise Woodland View enough for the help that my husband received for his recent stay. The staff are professional, friendly, approachable, kind and caring, and I always felt welcome when visiting him. Woodland View is a lovely care home, is spotlessly clean, warm and safe, and I would like to say a big thank you to you all who looked after him.

My dad was booked into Woodland View for a fortnight respite break where we had anticipated that he could use all the lovely facilities and activities that he had seen on a tour. We chose Woodland View due to the lovely surroundings and its homely feel. After an unexpected rapid and irreversible decline in his health only days before arriving, the Woodlands View staff immediately stepped up to offer Dad an amazing level of enhanced personal care. Alll the staff seem to genuinely care about each resident, going above and beyond what I expected in terms of valuing every elderly person as an individual and offering unrushed friendly companionship to each resident and their families. As such, we were very happy to extend Dad's stay to live out his days there. Towards the end of his life, all the staff at Woodland View worked very hard to ensure that Dad remained comfortable, cared for and treated with dignity. There is no better place that I could have hoped him to live once living at home became untenable, and I would not hesitate to recommend Woodlands View to others.

My husband has Parkinson's and dementia. Needing a break from caring for him, I visited Woodland View and loved the friendliness of staff and the appearance of rooms. I was very impressed with the care and attention given to residents. The manager came to our home and did an assessment. He loved the care, the choice of meals and activities. He now comes to the gentlemen's club on Tuesday afternoons which allows me some respite.

What a fabulous place Woodland View is! All of the staff go above and beyond for the residents. They have such empathy with them and make residential living fun, enjoyable and interesting, helping the residents make the most of every day. All of my father's needs are taken care of, from the laundry to his beautifully cleaned room, to the chefs making food, specifically for him, to his medical needs. Everyone has time for him and to help and reassure the family if they need it. Nothing is too much trouble. A big thank you to everyone who has made my dad's transition to the care home as easy as possible.

My mom moved into Woodland View in November. The surroundings and atmosphere are very pleasant, warm and comfortable. I love that I can ask to have lunch with Mom and they happily accommodate me. I also asked if I could have lunch with my mom for my birthday and was so surprised as they had decorated the tea room with balloons and flowers and served us up there privately. They also organised a present and card to give me from my mom. Both of us enjoyed it and I did not expect it at all. However most important is the professionalism, warmth and care from the staff. I know without a shadow of a doubt that my mom’s needs are met. I finally feel reassured that she is in the best place she could be. I can approach the team about anything I need to without fear of them not listening to me and understanding. They will address anything with engagement and kindness. I can spend quality time with my mom because I know that she is receiving the care she deserves. Thank you so much.

There is a warm welcome for everyone at Woodland View. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to see that needs are met. The food is very good and residents are encouraged to eat in the dining room but if they prefer peace and quiet they can also have food in their rooms. Dad and Mum have both received excellent care.

Just spent a lovely few hours in the ground floor garden room with our friend of 45 years who is a recent resident/respite care, beautiful interiors and the staff are all so lovely and obliging.

We are always welcomed with a friendly smile and assistance, and the offer of tea and coffee, it really is a lovely place to visit.

My 97-year-old husband was transferred from hospital to Woodland View in October following COVID. He was unable to walk or do very much for himself. With patience and encouragement, the staff have got him walking again and after a few weeks, he is able to move around on his walker and is enjoying socialising with other residents at meal times. He is being encouraged to take part in some activities and has been taken out for visits to local shops in his wheelchair.

He has settled into this new way of life really well. He has been able to take his reclining chair and other special items to personalise his room. A staff member accompanied him to NHS appointments.

As his wife, I have also received encouragement from all the staff which has helped me recover from exhaustion and COVID. I would recommend anyone looking for a Care Home for themselves or a relative or friend to visit Woodland View to experience the welcome of the staff and see the excellent facilities provided for the residents.

Mother recently joined Woodland View and has settled extremely well, enjoying the company and friendship of the other residents. The staff are quite amazing, welcoming and outgoing to all, whether residents or visitors and are thrilled to demonstrate Woodland View and its features. There are interesting and varied activities every morning and afternoon, including craft workshops, baking, exercising, yoga, relaxation, visiting speakers, and various events where local residents are invited to visit for lunches, teas etc. Never a dull moment! The facilities include a visiting hairdresser and chiropodist in well-appointed studios, and the cinema is something else! All in all, a lovely place for twilight years.

My husband had 2 weeks respite care. He found it difficult to settle a first as it was his first experience of being away from me.
However the staff were very caring, and patient. Gradually he accepted the fact that he was there to give me a break.
Since returning home he has said he would stay again in the future .

I feel activities were geared to the female residents, not enough distraction for the gents.

I’m so pleased l discovered Woodland View Care Home as the care my mother has received since becoming a resident has been second to none! She was quite poorly upon entering, a few months ago, but with the support given by the amazing staff, she is now thriving and able to enjoy the company of the other residents and loves the daily activities which stimulate and entertain her.

Woodlands View Care Home staff provide a brilliant, comprehensive caring service and there is always a wonderful welcome for all.

My aunt went to the Woodland View for respite after having had a fall. She was very shaken and bruised but very reluctant to consider respite. Her opinion has been completely turned around by a very pleasant experience at the home. The staff have been very caring and kind to her and she said the food has been excellent. She has been well looked after and the staff have encouraged her to mobilize and regain her independence.

The home is lovely and clean and there has been an opportunity for my aunt to join in several activities during her stay. I will definitely be recommending the home to friends and family.

We have twice visited my aunt in Woodland View where she was recently admitted for respite care.
Our initial contact was with the care home manager who was exceptionally pleasant and helpful and directed us straight to my aunt.
Our early impression of the care home was excellent, everywhere was clean and tidy, well set out, with welcome facilities available and very friendly staff.
After meeting my aunt, she confirmed that she had received excellent care, and superb meals and had been given a tour of the whole facility and its impressive amenities. She confirmed that she was most impressed with what was available for residents and respite users.

This care home is perfect and will be top of the list if residential care becomes necessary.

Thank you for sending such a wonderful review.
