It was with trepidation that we found ourselves looking for respite care for my mother who had been in hospital for several weeks. She was so warmly welcomed and put at ease by the friendly staff at Woodland View. In no time she was back to her old self and flourished surrounded by love and laughter.
Nothing was too much trouble. My father joined her in October when they both became residents. We have been so grateful to the most caring people we have ever had the pleasure to meet who looked after them both showing such kindness, compassion and respect. Thank you!

Due to personal circumstances I needed care for my mum urgently. From a phone call at 10am the staff came out to assess her and by 6pm the same day she was settling in and having her tea.
What a wonderful place! A lovely serene atmosphere and very friendly staff. Mum had the best night's sleep she
has had in years- probably because she felt safe and relaxed.
I can relax knowing that she is being cared for and if I look on the social mediapage I can see that she’s having lots of fun.
According to mum the food is excellent and the people - residents and staff are so friendly.
Thank you so much for giving me peace of mind. I fully recommend Woodland View!

I visited my friend today (24th May) came away feeling content knowing how happy and settled she is in her new home. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. My friend’s room has everything she needs and is decorated very nicely. I was offered a drink as soon as I arrived nothing seems too much
trouble for them. All credit to the manager and her staff.

The family celebrated my Mother in laws 88th birthday recently by hosting us all in Woodlands View Care Home. They provided a magnificent afternoon tea and we had a thoroughly enjoyable private function where members of the family had travelled across the county. Everyone was very impressed by the facilities
and the kind and cheerful staff and Mum feels her care is exemplary. Last week the staff helped the residents celebrate the Cheltenham Gold Cup Day (a local race) and hosted a film event in their own cinema. Residents were supplied with lovely hats and delicious drinks, given the opportunity to interact with the race and the Gold Cup Winning owner even won a box of chocolates. They had such fun which we heard every detail of. These are just two examples of the lovely times which are arranged by the staff at this wonderful care home.

The facilities are wonderful. The staff, both day and night are extremely empathetic, kind and helpful.
During my stay here I have only had one occasion when I wasn't treated with respect and that was by an ancillary worker, but a word with a person in authority soon put matters right. I would award
Woodland View's food 5 plus points as the food is absolutely superb. Before I came here this was a major worry as I have always been used to 'good food' and I was concerned that it wouldn't be up to my standard. In fact, on many occasions, it has surpassed it, especially since bringing in an extra Spanish Chef. His food is tasty and beautifully presented. We have a very enthusiastic activities person, who arranged trips out in wheelchair-friendly vehicles, yoga, baking, sewing, and knitting. They even arranged for a Buddhist Monk to visit me for meditation. I feel safe, secure and happy living here. It is a beautiful home.

Mum has continued to receive nothing but loving care from everyone during her fourteen-month stay. Staffing levels have been challenging for the team recently but they have pulled together to maintain the high level of care expected.

I would definitely recommend Woodland View for respite care. While the accommodation and facilities are all of the highest quality and the catering is excellent, it is the wonderful staff who really deserve credit for providing outstanding care. They are, without exception, very friendly and attentive
and can't do enough to help. They made it a real home from home for my parents and I can't thank them enough.

Following the home manager's positive medical assessment, my wife was accepted for long-term residential and dementia care commencing 16/03/2022. Woodland View is a registered provider of dementia with CQC and widely promotes itself as such. In the event, they proved unable to cope with the distressing
symptoms all be it medically construed as mild. On 24/11/2022 without prior notification, I was handed an error-strewn and inappropriate letter which furthermore breached patient confidentiality by wrongly referring to a different resident, serving a 28-day termination notice. Coming as it did immediately prior to Christmas I was placed under severe stress to locate and arrange alternative accommodation. In conclusion, while Woodland is a well-appertained residential care home, those seeking dementia support should look elsewhere.

I highly recommend Woodland View. The whole team have cared for my Great-Aunt with immense kindness and compassion and every one of them has been outstanding. The facilities are wonderful, it is beautifully furnished and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. What is harder to put into words is
the feeling of reassurance and peace we feel knowing our Great-Aunt is in such a special place. Thank you.

Mom is really happy at Woodland View. The staff are great and the interaction between Mom and the staff is lovely to see. Mom loves singing and a singer regularly comes in and plays songs she remembers. Country Road, Sweet Caroline etc. I've seen the residents singing along or tapping to the tune. Great
to see.

I have so much peace of mind knowing that mum is in such a calm and serene environment and being so considerately cared for. It doesn't matter what time of day I visit, the atmosphere and welcome is always the same, nothing is too much trouble and they treat her as a special person and take into consideration
her individual needs.

I visit regularly to see my father-in-law. He is very happy and content in the care home. He has his needs met. He enjoys the food he is receiving. Any assistance he requires or requests is given to a high standard. His family are happy he is safe and comfortable. There are often activities and community
engagement within the home. The staff always remember who I am and greet me accordingly.

The care home is like a hotel! Rooms are inviting and comfy, making it feel like a home from home, which is important when making residents feel comfortable in surroundings they are not used to. Most importantly, the staff are all extremely friendly, professional and welcoming. It's a relief knowing
