Over all time Eve Belle has 42 reviews.
After many trips to A & E due to falls and ill health it was decided she needed full time care in a safe and secure environment. Eve Belle has provided all of this and more. This includes beautiful clean surroundings and relaxing communal areas with daily activities and a hair salon as well as the welcoming and helpful staff (you know who you are!).
It was her 90th birthday last week and she was definitely treated like a "Queen" for the day.
All staff were kind and helpful as usual, surprising her with a cake and later in the evening when our large family, including young children arrived, were very accommodating and friendly.
We have some lovely photos and memories of her day.
Mum can be difficult at times but the staff always keep their calm and treat her with respect and dignity. It takes a real load off our backs knowing she is safe and well looked after.
Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, the residence looked happy and well cared for.
Thank you for your wonderful review, it's been a pleasure supporting you with Mum's move, and it's been so lovely to watch her settle into our community already! I'll be sure to pass your feedback and thanks onto the team; thank you again for taking the time to leave us your review!
I went to Eve Belle for an informal visit as I wanted respite care for my mum who suffers from Alzheimer's, I was greeted by one member of staff in particular who was so welcoming, the atmosphere on entering the building was amazing, I felt at ease straightaway, light refreshment was offered before meeting the senior customer relations manager who was warm and informative, she told me all about the home and what is on offer to Mum. I knew right off that this was the home for Mum, I was very impressed with the accommodation, it is so much more than the traditional care homes, the rooms are spacious, light and airy with ensuite facility, they had on offer wellness therapy and a wide variety of activities for the clients to partake in, the level of care is delivered in a professional way with lots of care and passion. There were specific carers assigned to Mum to keep everything constant and stable for Mum, everyone made her stay so memorable. Whenever relatives visited, they were always warmly welcomed.
What a wonderful review, thank you so much for taking the time to write this! I'm glad both you and Mum felt looked after, right from the moment you enquired, to the moment she finished her respite stay - we'd be delighted to see Mum again if she needs us in the future, and of course all of her...
Following a terminal cancer diagnosis at the beginning of September, it was necessary to find a full-time care solution for our mum until the services of the hospice were required. We chose Eve Belle Wickford for her care, supported by the palliative care team and district nurses. The home is very familiar with working with these teams and has a good relationship. Mum's move to Eve Belle was swift within a period of 48 hours, this service was excellent and we arrived to a very warm welcome from all staff who had been fully briefed on her arrival along with a care plan ready. Mum's condition deteriorated quickly but Eve Belle worked with us and the palliative care team to adapt and implement amends to meet her needs. The home is beautiful and has all facilities and staff are all dedicated to ensuring the best care and experience is delivered. They work closely as a team regardless of their roles. Value for money is excellent. Highly recommend and thank you for the care our mum received.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review, it means so much to us all and we feel very privileged to have cared for Mum, and to have welcomed you all to our family at Eve Belle. I know your kind words will be gratefully received by the team here; thank you again for your wonderful review.
Respite care for my father. I would like to thank all the staff for looking after my father in respite care so nicely, in such lovely surroundings. He doesn't want to be in a care home and likes to live at home but to give us some respite he agreed to come in for two weeks where he engaged in lots of activities and a trip out to a castle. If considering a care home you can feel confident your loved one will be well looked after here. If there is availability and we need respite care again, we wouldn't hesitate to use your services again in the future.
Thank you for your wonderful review, it was a pleasure to look after Dad during his respite stay and we do hope he'll come and enjoy another holiday with us again soon! I'll make sure to pass on your thanks to our lovely team; thank you again!
My mum was having several falls as she was forgetting to eat and drink, even when everything was prepared for her as much as possible. She didn’t go out unless it was a Wednesday morning where she attended a coffee morning where she lived. Her clothes were often dirty as she tended to wear the same clothes all the time. Since coming to Eve Belle she hasn’t had any falls, looks really well in herself, wears clean clothes and even has her hair done. My mum will never be the same as she has dementia, but at least I know that she is enjoying herself at Eve Belle, joining in with most of the activities and being looked after, in short, the best life she could have under the circumstances. Thank you to all the staff at Eve Belle I can finally relax knowing she is being cared for. The home is more expensive than most but offers so much more, plus residents are respected, no matter what their illness is.
Thank you so much for your review Stephanie, we're so pleased you're happy with Mum's care and have noticed a positive difference in her since she joined our community - she's a pleasure to look after and has settled in so well to Eve Belle. I know the team will be thrilled with your kind words, so thank you again for taking the time to write them.
I chose Eve Belle for Mum as it had a lovely warm atmosphere and a host of friendly staff right from the outset. Mum has mid-stage Alzheimer's and initially it took a while to get her settled. But, the care and support of the team steered us both through this fraught, transitional stage and since then we couldn't be happier. I know Mum is in excellent hands. She tells me that the food is delicious and she enjoys her trips out. She has made friends with two other ladies and my husband and I refer to them as 'Charlie's Angels'. But, the real angels are the staff whose support, empathy and care are the stars of the show. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. To support you and Mum in this stage of Mum's life has been a privilege and watching her settle into her new home and make new friends has been incredibly special to see. I'll make sure our lovely team receive your kind words and feedback; thank you for taking the time to leave your review.
Eve Belle is more than a care home. I visit once a fortnight and all I can see are happy well cared for residents. The staff are very welcoming and as soon as I arrive I am offered a drink. My sister-in-law is more than happy as she is enjoying activities that she would not have done in her previous residential home. The place Eve Belle is a credit to all the staff and it's beautiful.
Thank you so much for your review we're delighted that your sister is enjoying her time with us, and that you feel so welcome when you visit, too! I'll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team here - thank you again!
We refer to Eve Belle as a 5 star care hotel because that’s what it feels like. Top rate care, top rate staff, top rate food, top rate entertainment. Thankfully we can now leave my mum with 100% knowledge she could not be any happier or better looked after.
I highly recommend Eve Belle for any stay long or short you will not regret it.
Thank you ever so much for your review, it was a pleasure to look after Mum whilst you were away - I think she enjoyed her 'holiday', too! Mum's more than welcome to come back for respite any time and we look forward to seeing you all soon at one of our events!
I can’t praise the staff at Eve Belle enough for their kindness, compassion and support they give to Mum. They are most attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Communication is very good and they provide regular reviews regarding Mum’s care plan. The facilities are beautiful and from the moment you walk through the door, you can feel that Eve Belle is a caring and warm place to live. The daily activities programme is excellent and the food is delicious. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review, the team will be thrilled to read it and we're so pleased mum has settled in so well. It's been a joy watching her make new friends and become part of our community here!
During my wife's stay at Eve Belle, it has been an experience as her lifestyle has improved as the staff are marvellous with their interaction as well as the fabulous care she receives. I can only thank all the staff for being so caring and making everything happy for all those who live here. I would also like to thank the team for making our anniversary a special day.
Thank you so much for your kind words and wonderful review, the team will be delighted to receive such glowing feedback! We're so pleased we could make your anniversary special; it's a pleasure looking after your wife and seeing you and your lovely family so often. Thank you again!
From the moment we first visited Eve Belle, we have been so happy with the warmth and kindness of all the staff. They work so hard to make life for everyone happy and fulfilling. The home is more than we could have asked for. A brand new purpose-built home full of beautiful furniture and accessories. I feel like I am stepping into a very smart hotel, yet it has the homely touches needed. Dad has settled in so well; he loves the staff, the food and his comfortable bedroom. He is enjoying trips out and socialising more now than he has for many years. Thank you to everyone who looks after him so well.
Thank you so much for your glowing review, Jackie; it's been an absolute pleasure getting to know Dad and watching him settle into his new home and thrive! He's a big part of our community, and we're so happy he chose to move to Eve Belle. Thank you again for such kind words; I'll make sure to pass your thanks on to the team!
My aunt came for a month's respite care over Christmas and New Year. She had a wonderful time, was very well looked after, and for the first time in years, was able to enjoy the company of new friends, not just carers at home, and occasional visits from family living far from her. She really appreciated all the help and support given by the care team. But as planned, she returned home on Saturday but was frightened and lonely, and it was obvious that domiciliary care, even with her wonderful, long-standing carer, was no longer appropriate or safe. So she is back 'home' with her friends and carers, and we can relax, knowing that she is safe and happy. Thank you to the wonderful team at Eve Belle.
Thank you for your review, Roger; we were overjoyed when your aunt made her decision to come back after her respite - to say we welcomed her back with open arms is an understatement! We feel privileged to be looking after such an amazing lady and very lucky that she considers Eve Belle to be her...
My sister and I looked at a number of care homes for our mum. Even though Eve Belle was mid-build, we knew it would be top of our list. We were well aware that the move into residential care could be very tricky with our mum. Luckily the Customer Relationship Manager was on hand to reassure us. We did have reservations about the quality of care, as this was a new build we were unable to see it in action. We need have worried. All the staff are wonderful. The managers have a fantastic team of staff. The entertainment manager thinks of such wonderful activities for them all to be involved in. The food is great, my mother has never eaten so well. We can rest easy in the knowledge that she is being extremely well cared for. I fail to see how anyone could not fall in love with Eve Belle. It is like a five-star luxury hotel. My mother is living her best life. This facility is head and shoulders above others. We can't thank the team enough!
Thank you so much for your review Sarah, I don't think we could've received any better feedback! It's been a joy watching Mum settle in, and become so happy in her new home. I know the team will be so grateful for such wonderful comments about their hard work, so I'll be sure to pass these on!...
This care home is exceptional. It is easy to see the accommodation is bright, luxurious and restful but more importantly, I would commend the staff to whom I would like to say a big thank you. From management, support staff and particularly carers we could not have wanted more. Kind, friendly, compassionate, and caring they could not have done more for my mother.
Janet, thank you so much for your heartfelt review. Caring for Mum has been a pleasure, you're all part of our family here at Eve Belle, and we're so pleased you and your family felt so welcome and comfortable here. I'll pass on your kind words to the team; thank you again.
My Mum's experience as a resident and our experience, as a family visiting her, could not have been better. The facilities are absolutely beautiful, clean and welcoming, but what makes it so great is the kind, caring and professional staff. Everyone from the Managers to the Maintenance staff were genuinely welcoming and kind. The home's atmosphere is friendly and upbeat and the staff work hard to make the place feel like a home from home. The staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel cared for and welcome. I honestly could not speak more highly of the Eve Belle Care Home. Thank you for taking such great care of my Mum.
Thank you for such kind and wonderful words Jacqui; I know the team will be absolutely delighted and it means so much to us all that you and your family feel so welcome at Eve Belle. I'll pass on your thanks to the team and thank you again for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
This is my first experience of a care home, and I was not at all disappointed at the amount of care and attention I have received. I have really enjoyed all the food here, and I feel much better for the lovely stay at Eve Belle. I only came for 2 weeks but wished it to be longer. I would like to thank all the staff for their care.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Maureen - the team and I will miss you and we're so pleased you chose Eve Belle for your respite! We look forward to seeing you again in the future (if you need us again!) and you're always welcome to pop in for a coffee and a catch-up, any time!
This care home is the best that I have ever seen. Mum is very happy here and has improved in her well-being since she has been here. It has only been 4 weeks and we can notice the difference every day. Mum gets on very well with all the staff and they are always there for her needs. Thank you to all the staff at Eve Belle.
What wonderful words Faith, I'll be sure to pass your thanks on to the team - it means so much to us. Seeing Mum improve every day has been a joy; she's a wonderful lady and we're so lucky to be able to support her! Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, it really is appreciated.
Staff very caring and attentive. Comfortable surroundings. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Can't fault at all.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home, and for your positive feedback. The team will be delighted to read your review, and we're so pleased you enjoy visiting your friend.
This is my first visit. I received a really warm welcome from the team. My friend's room is lovely and clean. We were offered a drink on arrival and the staff were really attentive.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, it really is appreciated. We're so pleased your friend is happy at Eve Belle, and that you've had a good first visit! Friends and family of our residents are always welcome at the home and are an important part of our little community.

Meet the Team (1)

I have been working in the care industry since 2008. Having started as a Night Care Assistant, I held several positions until I became a Home Manager in 2013 – a profession that I love.
I have had the experience of managing different care homes, and I am proud to say that together with the team, we always strive to deliver very high standards of care each time, and have managed to achieve Outstanding in ‘Care’ as rated by the Care Quality Commission.
I have been given a wonderful opportunity to pioneer Eve Belle and continue to deliver outstanding care to residents.
