Llys Herbert is a new purpose-built luxury care home in Cardiff. The dedicated team provides personalised residential, respite and dementia care for up to 75 older people.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite wet room and is individually decorated and beautifully furnished. The home features all the ingredients for a superb lifestyle under one roof, including a bar, hair and beauty salon, cinema and coffee shop. Outside, the lovely landscaped gardens offer a variety of seating areas, accessible pathways and raised planters – perfect for keen gardeners.

The team learn all about your loved one's personality, life story and interests so they can tailor all aspects of their care – from activities to menus – to suit their needs and wishes.

Wow where do I start, the manager is so kind-hearted, easy to talk to, she was simply amazing then you got my friend so lively, always smiling and made me feel welcome, I met a few of the team too, there was a girl in a pink uniform quite shy but she still had a chat with me, there was a lady in a green
uniform full of energy she came over and really politely asked if we would like a drink and a cake, we chatted for a bit and the whole time we were just laughing I think she had brown hair not sure my eyesight isn’t the best, then we met a lovely handsome man in pink uniform I wanted to take him home. This care home thinks about everyone and the staff there are very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them. When we were walking around there was it’s if singing and laughter, keep up the grand job.

Delighted to have found Llys Herbert. This is a stunning new care home with superb facilities and amazing attention to detail in all aspects of the home and for its residents.
The team has been amazing from the very first enquiry to the incredibly warm welcome extended to my father on arrival and
all of the individual attention to help him settle in.

My father is one of the first few to take up residency at this newly built home, the first Care UK home (so I understand) to be owned and managed by the company in Wales.
From the moment we went to view the home, without any prior notice on our part, we have been welcomed and helped enormously by
the whole team.
All rooms are identical in size. My father has been fortunate to choose both position and decor of which there is a good choice.
To date, the food has been varied, beautifully cooked and presented and catering to my father’s needs as his appetite has diminished.
The staff have been wonderfully supportive, friendly, enthusiastic and willing. I cannot thank them all enough for all the kindness and consideration they have shown to him. If the standards continue at the present level, which I have no reason to doubt they will, it is going to be a wonderful home.

Llys Herbert care home Cardiff what an amazing place this is giving the highest level of care to the over 65s it has to be seen to be fully appreciated... The Manager and her team of caring professionals will show and tell you all you need to know ...this truly deserves five stars .. this is health

Suzanne Tullet

Job Title: Home Manager

Having previously led the team at Winchcombe Place, I’m excited and feel privileged to lead a new team and ensure that everyone’s supported, working together and managing a team I’m proud of.


I started my working career after studying a Pharmacology degree, which led me to working in a community pharmacy and after hearing all the wonderful things about Care UK, I wanted to try something new in my career, so I joined Care UK.


Previously at Care UK, I was Deputy Manager at Winchcombe Place and have taken part in the Future Home Manager Program to help me develop my skills and understanding of a home to be a successful home manager. Within my role, I believe you need to be knowledgeable on a wide range of key areas, responsible, approachable, efficient and understanding, which has helped me develop a successful team.


Outside of work, I love to dance, and previously I’ve been featured on television in a dance competition.
