The team learn all about your loved one's personality, life story and interests so they can tailor all aspects of their care - from activities to menus - to suit the individual's needs and wishes.
Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

I needed short-term respite care for my father before Christmas. I feel very lucky to have found LLys Herbert. The home is beautiful, more like a five-star luxury hotel than a care home. The staff are excellent, happy and upbeat and most importantly, kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Visitors are made very welcome and encouraged to use the beautiful lounge areas, with refreshments on tap. There is a cinema and hair salon. The food is excellent and well-presented. I cannot recommend highly enough for your loved ones.

Our father was at Llys Herbert for the last months of his life. We were hugely impressed both by the home itself and especially the care and kindness that the staff gave Dad. Without exception, everyone showed him the kind of consideration that we hoped we could find, giving us great comfort and reassurance when we could not be around. The staff went out of their way to find out about the person Dad was and had been, his interests and achievements, helping him to adjust to what must have seemed a big change in his life. We were particularly grateful for the way that the staff afforded Dad the dignity and respect he deserved at the end of his life. In our family's experience, Llys Herbert provides a very welcoming, comfortable and safe environment for residents and visitors with a variety of stimulating activities and excellent food.

Wow where do I start, the manager is so kind-hearted, easy to talk to, she was simply amazing then you got my friend so lively, always smiling and made me feel welcome, I met a few of the team too, there was a girl in a pink uniform quite shy but she still had a chat with me, there was a lady in a green uniform full of energy she came over and really politely asked if we would like a drink and a cake, we chatted for a bit and the whole time we were just laughing I think she had brown hair not sure my eyesight isn’t the best, then we met a lovely handsome man in pink uniform I wanted to take him home. This care home thinks about everyone and the staff there are very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them. When we were walking around there was it’s if singing and laughter, keep up the grand job.

I joined Care UK in December 2025 and I’m proud to be part of the team at Llys Herbert. I feel privileged to support our colleagues while ensuring residents remain at the heart of everything we do. I decided to join Care UK because I wanted to continue growing as a leader in care, working in an environment where person-centred care is valued and where residents’ voices, choices, and dignity are central to everyday practice.
I am currently studying the City & Guilds QCF Level 5 in Adult Care and Health and Social Care. I have developed my practical skills through hands-on experience in care, learning person-centred approaches and the principles of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) through real-life practice. Before joining Care UK, I worked in the care sector, progressing into management roles and gaining valuable experience in supporting teams and improving quality and standards.
I believe a successful Home Manager leads with kindness, remains calm under pressure, and always puts residents at the heart of their decisions. It is important to support colleagues to do the right thing, promote dignity and respect, encourage participation, and listen carefully to residents’ wishes.
My favourite part of the day is spending time with residents and colleagues. Seeing residents engaged, listened to, and treated as individuals, while watching colleagues grow in confidence, reminds me that good care is built on relationships, trust, and making people feel safe and valued.
One of my biggest professional challenges was entering the care sector without previous experience and learning quickly in a real-life environment. That experience helped me grow professionally, build confidence, and develop strong values around person-centred care and supporting people living with dementia.
Outside of work, I enjoy long walks, a good English vegetarian breakfast, watching films, reading, and attending church, as my faith is an important part of my life.
