I wish to commend the care and compassionate nature excelling in her role as deputy care manager. She has given such personal consideration of the pain I am experiencing, continuing with ringing the doctor to comply further treatment of pain relief of a very painful and multiple left shoulder break
of the bones. Her help and kindness have helped assist me to feel more positive and accept my unfortunate position of recovery which will be slow.

It was a massive decision to move my mum into a care home. She had lived all her life in Wales where she had lived alone and independently for over thirty years after my dad died. After she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she began to struggle on her own. I am an only child and had no other family left
in Wales. I knew that moving her near me would be the best thing to keep her safe and cared for and where I could visit frequently with her grandchildren. I knew my mum wouldn't settle somewhere that felt like a standard care home. Beulah Vista Care Home is nothing like a standard care home. It feels luxurious, is very clean and is furnished beautifully. For me, though, what stands out is the care and empathy of all the staff from the minute you enter. It must be a difficult job but I have no worries that they are looking after my mum. Watching her hold hands with her fellow residents during a sing-along was a highlight and showed me she was really settling in.
Reply from Lindsay Massey, Marketing Manager at Beulah Vista Care HomeIt is a huge decision to move a loved one such a long way from where has been home for thirty years. I know how reluctant she was and how stressful this made it for you. I am so glad that she has settled so well and so quickly. It is lovely for Mum to have you so close by, enabling you to take her out and about locally, she is always chatty about where she has been when she comes back. Thank you so much for your kind words, we are very proud of our staff as without them the home would not be the standard and place that it is.

Superb home, excellent care and surpassed our expectations. Beulah Vista Care Home ticked every box for the modern facilities, food, homely, luxurious rooms and communal areas and most importantly, the care given by all the friendly, attentive staff at every level. My mother stayed for one month respite
care and I would have no hesitation about her becoming a permanent resident if needed in the future. Initially, I felt guilty and anxious about placing her in respite care but that changed to feeling guilty about bringing her home! Mum has dementia and is nonverbal but I can see that she was happy, relaxed, incredibly well cared for and in fact, thrived during her stay. Beulah Vista most definitely has it right!
Reply from Lindsay Massey, Marketing Manager at Beulah Vista Care HomeThank you, she has been a pleasure and settled in so quickly. We all hope to see her again and are sad to see her go. Please do bring her in for visits when we have our sing-alongs or when entertainers are in as Mum's enthusiasm was contagious.

After a fall at home, my mother required specialist care. The nursing home sent a member of staff to the hospital to learn how to manage her neck brace so accelerating her departure from the ward. Family is at the core of Beulah Vista Care Home and are encouraged to visit whenever and as often as possible.
There are monthly meetings for the families of residents to raise issues and suggest improvements. Mum was encouraged to treat Beulah as her new home and was treated with respect, friendliness and professionalism throughout. We really couldn't have asked for more.
Reply from Lindsay Massey, Marketing Manager at Beulah Vista Care HomeFamily and providing a home from home are at the heart of Beulah Vista, so it is lovely to get this feedback, thank you. It is also lovely when a resident can bring friends and activities into our home that were enjoyed prior to needing care and moving into Beulah Vista. This, again, is something we hope residents can embrace, life does not stop when moving into Beulah Vista, just easier to enjoy.

We couldn't have found a more perfect, attentive and caring home for Dad's last months. It is a very special place. There is always a warm welcome and the staff are genuinely passionate about making a difference with every interaction with residents, family and friends. Every detail was considered to
ensure my dad's transition into the home was as comfortable, reassuring and gentle as possible for someone with late-stage Alzheimer's. He formed close and trusting relationships with carers and the nurses who were always kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Having visited several care homes, Beulah Vista Care Home is in another league. While the clean, homely environment is excellent, what stands out most is the warmth of the people who work there. The management really looks after their staff and has high standards for excellent care at all times, and this is reflected in a team who are outstanding. Their kindness, empathy and support made such a difference to our family when he sadly passed.
Reply from Lindsay Massey, Marketing Manager at Beulah Vista Care HomeThank you for your lovely review; it was a pleasure to look after Dad and also welcome you all into the family at Beulah Vista. An amazing, exceptional home with compassion and respect at the heart of everything they do. My mother was cared for towards the end of her dementia journey here with kindness and tenderness. The staff all wanted to know about the person she used to be as well as who she was then and treated her with
gentleness and courtesy. The nurses are thorough, attentive and professional. The building and facilities are extremely well-appointed and the activity schedule is brilliant. I always enjoyed visiting as the staff were so friendly and welcoming from the reception onwards. I have spent several years visiting people in other homes in South London and the standard of care at Beulah Vista Care Home, the physical environment and the empathic and helpful approach of the management are all a cut above those in any other care home I have experienced. The staff supported my siblings and myself with compassion and sensitivity when my mother was sadly at end-of-life. Strongly recommend.

We recently took the difficult decision to move our father into a care home and had no idea how to go about it. The manager and the rest of the team have been absolutely wonderful. They always make time to talk to you, and their knowledge is very reassuring. The nurses have a wonderful way with my father,
and he has grown very fond of them. The home itself is very smart, luxurious and, more importantly, very clean.
Moving a parent into care is a very hard thing to do, but the staff and especially one lady who has provided wonderful support, and I really can’t thank them enough.

I would like to thank Beulah Vista Care Home in so many ways for the fantastic experience I had when I was in respite care. I came from there a different person and would have loved to stay longer. I really enjoyed everything that went on. Everything was very well managed and it was a tremendous experience.

Since moving to Beulah Vista in October, due to deteriorating health conditions, my mother has received excellent nursing care - the staff really do go over and above in their level of attention and kindness. Understandably, Mum was very upset to leave her treasured home, however, all the staff have
welcomed her and taken time to make her feel as comfortable as possible. The home is immaculate and so well managed, it is so comforting to know she has such excellent provision at this stage of her life.

It’s the little things that go a long way. My aunt loves a set TV channel - it’s kind of her go to, feel comfortable and happy. I had asked if they could help her find it and set it up, and the following week or was set and ready for her. The home itself is beautiful and so well laid out; just as importantly,
the staff are warm and friendly, and the residents are autonomous. We are very fortunate to be able to be here.

My mum spent three weeks at this wonderful caring home before sadly passing away receiving brilliant palliative care (with a hospice involvement too) in the last few days. The management, nurses and care staff were all fabulous and so compassionate with both Mum and the whole family. They welcomed us
any time of day or night, even arranging a special place for time together and spacing visits. We felt Mum was given the highest level of care and observed the same with other residents during our visits. The home has high-quality surroundings, and regular activities with encouragement for residents to join - even though quite poorly my mum enjoyed the music and singing. The food provided looked delicious and they even arranged a special diet for my mum who had trouble swallowing. Thank you Beulah Vista for making Mum's last weeks so comfortable, surrounded by her family.

I've been visiting Beulah Vista Care Home for the last 5 months and always found the staff/management very supportive of my friend and myself. Rooms and lounge areas are spacious and very clean, and there is a lovely big garden to take residents out to. There are activities to attend singing, exercise
and a cinema in the basement. Food and drink for residents are made fresh each day. Security is via coded numbers to gain access. I would recommend this home.

Moving dad into care was an incredibly difficult decision for us as a family. However, the care he has been receiving and the extremely clean and pleasant surroundings of the care home has really made us feel that the level of care he now gets is far better than what we were able to provide at home.
The staff are so patient and kind with him, and he always looks so happy and settled when we visit him. Everything we have observed is exceptional, from the physical care he receives, including the food, to the activities they do with the residents to stimulate their minds! All these things give us great comfort as a family, and we are so glad we found Beulah Vista!

We chose Beulah Vista for my father's six-week respite care after visiting several other nursing care homes because we were impressed by how warm, friendly, engaging and caring the staff were to the residents. My dad has been extremely well looked after and the staff have gone to great lengths to ensure
he is happy and well cared for. He has particularly enjoyed having a cooked breakfast every morning and enjoyed the other meals. All staff have been very attentive to my dad's needs and to his guests, and I would like to thank all of them for their care, especially the well-being manager, the manager and another lady. It is impressive how thoughtful, respectful and kind everyone at Beulah has been to him.

(1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 registered maximum number of service users is 12.4, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I have been working in the care industry for the past 15 years and have worked in many roles in both Nursing Homes and within the Community. I qualified as an RGN in 2013 and completed my studies at Kingston University. Dementia care has always been a keen passion of mine so after qualifying as a nurse, I went on to study additional modules at Worcester University specifically in dementia care.

In my previous role, I was the registered Home Manager for three years at a 51 bedded Nursing Home which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was previously the Deputy Manager of a 70 bedded, commissioning Nursing Home in Carshalton near Sutton, and here is where I developed a passion for commissioning. I feel privileged to be opening Beulah Vista and have enjoyed all the challenges a new home faces. Being here from the beginning gives me the best opportunity to lead by example and support the team to implement person-centered care for our residents.

I have also worked as an Admiral Nurse based in Sutton Social Services for 18 months. An Admiral Nurse is a specialist dementia nurse who gives expert advice and support to families caring for a loved one living with dementia. This role not only enabled me to help families through difficult times, but it allowed me to deliver training to other Health Care professionals enhancing their knowledge of dementia.

I know that the key to excellent care is strong communication and believe that you are only as good as your team. I have seen how the needs of people have changed and how the demand for nursing and dementia care has increased over the years. I am determined to be a part of the positive change for the future of care.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

I am a Mental Health Nurse and qualified in 2016 at Greenwich University. I have previously worked as a Forensic Nurse but for the most part of my nursing, I have worked in Dementia care. No two days are the same in a Care Home, so we are always learning something new. I take great pleasure in caring for people living with Dementia, including the frail and elderly and feel this is what I was born to do.

I have previously worked as a Clinical Lead/ Deputy Manager in another Care Home before coming to Beulah Vista. It has been an exciting experience coming to work as a commissioning Deputy Manager and I look forward to developing and supporting team members, to give the best possible care to our residents.

I have many years of experience working in the care sector supporting older people, young people and children. I have personal care experience as was the main carer for my dad and have loved being a carer ever since. I find it to be very rewarding to work in the care industry gaining experience and obtaining a Level 5 in Health and Social Care. Before I worked in care, I was a Deputy Finance Assistant for a children's centre and have several years of experience as an administrator.

I love supporting the team at Beulah Vista and have an open-door policy. I look forward to supporting new team members and our residents.

Lindsay Massey

Job Title: Marketing and Resident Wellbeing Manager Joined: 2023

My Name is Lindsay Massey, and I am the Marketing & Resident Wellbeing Manager here at Beulah Vista. My role here is to raise awareness of our home within the community, inviting when safe to do so, local schools, churches, and groups into our home. To liaise with family members who wish to place their loved ones in our care, to ensure that it is a safe, smooth, and caring transition and as stress-free as it can be.

I worked for Legal & General for 27 years before deciding I needed to work in a job that made a difference. I have been working in care almost continuously for the last 18 years. I have done many jobs from reception, HR, Resident Accounts, Dining, Activities and Marketing. The latter two are my favourites.

I am a people person and like to think that I can help families with difficult decisions and help the residents to enjoy as many different activities as they can and embrace being in care rather than being frightened of it.
The out-of-work Lindsay lives with her husband Stuart, my mother and rescue dog Bosco. Both of my boys have moved out to live with their girlfriends, but we still see each other a lot as they are local and they all play golf (I try!), I like cooking, travelling, reading, walking, Pilates, socialising with friends and recently I have taken up cold water swimming!

I joined Beulah Vista in 2023 as a Housekeeper and have since taken on a role at reception while also supporting the Home Manager. Before this, I spent over 20 years working as a hairdresser, but I was ready for a new challenge and a change of direction.

I’m really enjoying being part of the team here at the care home. Although this is my first role in both healthcare and administration, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive.
