My early impressions of the home are that it is very clean, and the staff are very friendly. Any request for help has been met quickly and willingly, and my father is being helped to meet and mix with other residents.
A good start.
Thank you for your kind words; we take all feedback seriously and appreciate your review. It is a pleasure to look after your father, and we hope that we continue to meet your expectations.
A friend of mine lives at The Rivers, I can honestly say the staff are amazing, the home is clean and everyone seems well looked after. The environment seems really homely and everyone is always so happy when I visit, I always get a warm welcome when I arrive, the only shame is I have been looking for a placement for my mother-in-law and there is a waiting list hopefully this isn’t too long!
Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate all feedback and I will pass on your lovely review to the staff team. We are also very eager to get the second floor of the home commissioned and open, we are awaiting the go ahead from CQC, hopefully this won't be much longer!
I for one can't thank The Rivers enough for all the help and understanding they've shown me while my husband has been in there knowing he's being cared for and well looked after has made me feel so much better. The staff go over and beyond to help as much as they can, nothing but praise for all of them.
Hi, many thanks for your lovely review. We appreciate all feedback and I am glad The Rivers is meeting your expectations. It is a pleasure caring for your husband. I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to the staff team.
My beautiful mam went into The Rivers in October last year, honestly it was the last thing we wanted, but wow, they have been amazing. The staff go above and beyond with not just her care, but also in making her happy. We honestly feel so much calmer knowing she is so looked after and cared for. Thank you x
Hi, many thanks for your lovely comments. We appreciate all feedback and I will be sure to pass on your review to the care team. It is a pleasure to look after your mum.
I just want to thank all the staff and the manager for the care and respect they showed my father. He was well looked after, safe and cared for, the food was lovely and the whole building was spotlessly clean. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff and comforting to know they spent time with Dad over and above their allotted care duties.
A special thanks needs to go to one member of staff, she has shown so much dedication to her job and the patients in her care, it is obvious that she sees her role as a vocation rather than a career and I cannot thank her enough for the encouragement and care she gave my dad but also for her support towards me.
Thank you all.
Hi Ginny, thank you very much for your kind words and it was a pleasure looking after your dad. I will pass on your lovely review to the staff team and to the member of staff you have referred to. Best wishes. The Rivers staff team.
Mum has settled in well. The rooms are well-decorated and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities going on throughout the day. The new manager has made a big difference in the care home.
Best Regards,
Rahi.
So pleased Mum is at The Rivers. The staff are so welcoming, kind and caring. Mu always looks healthy and well. Any concerns we have are dealt with quickly and efficiently. We feel as if we are listened to as a family. The manager is so friendly and efficient and we know Mum is taken care of wonderfully under his management. The unit manager is on the ball and respectful of residents and their families.

Mum has been in The Rivers since October, we are really happy about her care and well-being here, especially since the new management was recently implemented. The Rivers is a really lovely place and Mum is very relaxed, happy and healthy. She has made new friends and is always smiling when we visit. Well done to all the staff for all their hard work, it's so much appreciated!

My grandad came into The Rivers last year and he has settled right in. We did have some concerns at first regarding his care, bedroom and activities in the home as there was not much going on and he seemed to spend lots of time in his room. But there has recently been a new manager and the improvements he has made are fantastic and are clearly visible in the home. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much. My grandad stopped eating before he came and lost weight but has now put weight back on and loves the food. We are kept up to date regularly with any changes. Would highly recommend. Thank you to The Rivers for taking care of him.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We love looking after your grandad. We take all feedback seriously and I will communicate your positive feedback to the staff team. We will continue to provide your grandad with the best care and continue to support you, your family and friends where needed.
Mum loves it here.
Staff are excellent.
Kind regards,
Rahi.
Mum was living with my brother who was abusive towards her. For two years we tried to get her away from him but authorities don't wish to know. After an event that happened in her home, we were able to get her away from him and put her into care near us. She has combined Alzheimer's and dementia. It is such a relief to us now that she is fed, cleaned, kept comfortable but, above all, safe. The staff do an amazing job and Mum can be quite hard to care for when she gets in the mood. We can't fault the care she has at all.
Thank you very much for your review. We value all feedback. We love caring for your mum and we are delighted that the care at The Rivers is meeting your expectations.
One manager left and the new manager was off sick within a week.
Not enough staff to look after the residents.
The staff are poorly trained and can't cope with residents. The group manager is rude and is only interested in money.
We have been lied to many times about care and what's happening within the home.
Would give this place 0 stars if possible.
This will be reported to the CQC for a number of reasons.
It's meant to be a care home. No care happens within this place. There is no dignity in the way my grandad has been treated.
We take all feedback very seriously. We apologise that the placement did not work out, however the placement was not suitable and for the safety of your Grandad, the other residents and the staff, an alternative placement was required to ensure that your Grandad could receive the safest care in a...
Our experience at The Rivers care home has been excellent. All staff and food are amazing. Care for Mum is excellent, the staff couldn't do any more for Mum, they are all brilliant. Mum's room seems smaller to us than the other rooms. When we visit Mum we sit on the bed but seem to be on top of one another. The summer fair coffee morning was lovely in September. Also, the Halloween party entertainment by the singers was enjoyed by residents, family and staff. Looking forward to the Christmas party with singers again. Well done to everyone at The Rivers.
Thank you for your kind words. It gives us immense joy to know your mum is comfortable with the care provided and the team would be pleased to receive such kind feedback from you. We take all our feedback seriously and will closely look into the issue raised by you. Kind regards, Rahi.
I was there for ten days. They were told I needed a strip wash in the mornings as I do not get in the bath and help with dressing and undressing. I did not get help with any of this. I washed my hands and face every morning. The food was terrible. Even breakfast was stone cold. My son was bringing me food - crisps, biscuits etc. Some evenings were disgusting with the noise, shouting, laughing and giggling in the corridor. I have told them about this. It has been a struggle for me as I have got lung disease and cannot breathe. Good with drinks.
We take all feedback very seriously. My apologies that your experience was not what you had hoped for. All I can comment on this is that the team at The Rivers works very hard to ensure all of our clients feel comfortable and safe. We will fully investigate these issues immediately and put any...
Went to see my mum and she has really settled in well. The staff are so lovely and Mum is so well looked after. I can't thank them all enough. You don't have to make an appointment and can just turn up to visit when you want. Thank you so much for looking after my precious mum.
Thank you for your kind words. Your mum is a pleasure to look after and has settled into The Rivers family really well.
My sister and I met with two members of staff before Mum was due to enter for respite. However, Mum ended up in the hospital and then needed recuperation. We requested The Rivers because of the good impression they had provided. Since Mum entered The Rivers, she has been very happy and has spoken about the wonderful care provided by both the male and female carers. Mum has not yet participated in many activities, but hopefully, over time this will change. If Mum were to become permanent at The Rivers, we would request a larger bedroom if possible.
Thank you for taking the time to review The Rivers and for your kind words. Your mum is loved by all the staff. We are trying to build a wider variety of activites, hopefully, some Mum will enjoy joining in.
I visited my great uncle at the Rivers for the first time and I am so delighted with the care he is receiving - the staff are so caring, nothing is too much for them. Recently, they had a summer fayre which was a lot of fun. All the residents think of the Rivers as their little family. The staff are so knowledgeable and ensured my uncle was safe, even in the recent sunshine. I couldn't imagine a better place for him and I wouldn't want him anywhere else.
Thank you for your lovely review of The Rivers. We are so happy that you think of us as your family. Your great uncle is a pleasure to look after.
