The staff also took great care of my mum during the 4 months, especially towards the end of her life. They also took great care of my wife, brother and I when we were by my mum's side in her final days.
The management is also fantastic, the team were always very supportive, respectful and understanding, always making us feel welcome.
This is a great home that I thoroughly recommend, thanks for the support!
On behalf of the whole team, thank you for your very kind words and for taking the time to share your experience with us. Thank you also for recognising how committed and dedicated the team is, it is truly an honour and privilege for us all, to care for such incredible individuals. It is extremely...
All areas are lovely and clean.
The staff are friendly and polite.
The food looked and tasted good.
Garden Cafe was a great are to congregate and meet other residents and relatives also join in with the activities.
Woodlands staff work incredibly hard and are dedicated to giving the absolute best care. Thank you for such positive feedback.
Mum stayed as an interim resident until a permanent home placement could be found for her by the local city council. At all times the staff through could not have been kinder or more considerate. Mum was so well looked after at a time when she was at her most vulnerable. Amazing home thoroughly recommended.
Thank you for spending the time to post such a positive review. Reviews are so important to our team.
Good morning. I would like to say that the care staff was helpful when my mum was passing. The Manager made sure I was able to stay with my mum on the last night before my return to London. In the beginning, my mum was getting neglected by the agency staff but the Manager turned the place around and was in constant contact with me. I lost my fight to get my mum out of the home in the end as she didn't want to be there. She has a big family and because of family conflict, I lost my battle, unfortunately. However, the staff and management have turned the place around. Thank you to the Manager and the amazing care staff for comforting my mum towards the end of her journey of life.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Looking after your mum was a pleasure. I will always remember her lovely smile with fondness'.
My experience while visiting Woodlands was excellent, the rooms were lovely, like staying in a four-star hotel, the facilities were also excellent, the cafe and garden area were really nice, I was always made to feel welcome and was kept well informed about the care that was being given. A really lovely care home, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home for a relative.
Thank you for such a lovely review, feedback is so important to the team.
The family.
Rest easy Dad.
It was a pleasure and an honour to care for your Dad during his last days. I hope you have found some comfort in knowing he was well cared for.
My dad is so well cared for in this lovely facility. He really enjoys the food and tells me the staff are all lovely.
Thank you for such a positive review, our staff work very hard because they are passionate and dedicated to helping others. Reviews like this make it all worth it, so thank you again and I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the team.
Woodlands Care Home is a pleasure to visit. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. My mother has been resident there for 6 months, I believe there were some teething problems when it opened in Autumn last year, but these have been ironed out by the new manager. Staffing levels are good and my mother says they are lovely; that is also my experience. The quality of food is very good and the small, intimate dining rooms are light and airy and make for pleasant dining. The Garden Cafe is a wonderful idea, residents can visit on their own or with family and the variety of edibles on offer is excellent, particularly the homemade cakes! The entertainment schedule is very good, with something for everyone and the co-ordinator is a joy. There is a pleasant garden of decent size, with comfortable furniture, a cheery summer house and games/toys that can be used by younger family members. Dogs are welcome as visitors. My mother has some problems with her legs, this is attended to and I’m kept informed.
I will ensure that the staff are thanked on your behalf.
Woodlands Care Home is in a fantastic setting and is central to Aberdeen for access. The front entrance is beautiful and this continues throughout the building. Very homely feeling for my Dad and also us as visiting relatives. The staff have all been fantastic and friendly and are keen to interact with my Dad and relatives with feedback on his care. Unfortunately, my Dad does not enjoy the fantastic facilities offered due to his condition but is appreciated by his family. A lovely place.
It is an honour to care for your dad, the setting at Woodlands is beautiful, but more importantly, it's home and full of fun whilst we care for our lovely residents and all their loved ones.
This place is better than some hotels, the staff are ace and my uncle loves the food, he also asked me if I was coming in to see the ponies, thought he was trying to be funny.
Can't say a bad word about this place, my uncle loves it.
Thank you so much for you lovely review, I will ensure I pass on your kind words to our dedicated team.
On the whole, good care but too many temp carers who don't know the people or their needs. Often food is left on the side that they are unable to use.
Thank you for your review, please contact me to discuss your concerns in more detail and in person. Recruitment is a challenge for the whole industry, but we are pleased that Woodlands is now fully recruited for care staff.
The building is very luxurious and the facilities are excellent. Most of the staff are very kind and pleasant, although occasionally there is rather a long wait for attention. Some members of staff go way above and beyond the call of duty. One problem is a lack of continuity regarding the medical/nursing side, possibly too many different staff nurses at different times. Most of the nurses are excellent however. The management has improved dramatically since the early days.
Thank you taking the time to review our lovely home and delighted you are pleased with the improvements.
My mum has been a resident in the associated care home - suffering from dementia - both good days when her memory is at a loss and days when Mum is of realising some things. The staff in the residence are god sent and Mum is in the very best of hands. Mum also suffers from loss of body mass and collagen which leads to easy bruising and they are ever so gentle with her - I'd give 5 stars but then any problems that occur seem to be from my own relatives creating problems from Mum receiving all she needs - requesting female carers - when the carer on shift are mainly men. The entertainment they lay on for Mum and the other residents is amazing and always something going on to make the residence as homely as possible.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review, your feedback is very important to us and we will share it with the team. It is our pleasure to look after your mum.
My Uncle was very well looked after at Woodlands Care Home, he had a lovely bedroom overlooking the park and the staff were very kind and caring. The cafe bar is fantastic with plenty of snacks and drinks and access to the garden.
Thank you for your lovely review it is an honour to look after your uncle. I will ensure I pass on your kind words to our hard-working team.

As a qualified nurse, Lesley’s main clinical background is in the Intensive Care Unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and latterly as a Specialist Peritoneal Dialysis nurse. Having had amazing grandparents, Lesley always knew she wanted to work with the older generation and is passionate about ensuring they lead fulfilling and meaningful lives during their golden years.
As a leader, Lesley’s main focus is staff development and progression; she is a great believer in further education to ensure residents and families receive high standards of care and support. She adopts a supportive approach and fully embraces, working in partnership with residents and their families.

She now holds the position of Non-Clinical Deputy Manager, where she continues to make a significant contribution to both the team and the service.

Regina worked in Intensive Care as a Registered Nurse in Nepal before moving to Scotland. Coming from a long line of nurses, who all specialised in the care of the elderly, it was a natural progression for her to follow suit. As Unit Lead, Rojiina always has a positive and smiley outlook and will always go above and beyond for those she supports and their families.

Beth supports the nursing team and has undertaken additional training in the form of the SVQ3 qualification. Being a hands-on person, Beth leads her team by example and is a great role model and mentor for the younger members of our team.
