Glenburnie Lodge is a new (opened July 2024) all-inclusive luxury care home located in the picturesque village of Wenvoe, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. It offers 24-hour nursing, residential, dementia, palliative and respite care delivered by an experienced staff team.

The home has 70 fully-furnished ensuite bedrooms, all of which have a balcony or patio access to beautiful communal gardens. At the heart of the home is the café-style coffee lounge and bar. There are also communal lounges, dining rooms, a gym, a hair and beauty salon and a cinema.

Glenburnie Lodge has a varied activity programme designed to stimulate the body, mind and soul.

The staff make the place what it is. They are amazing. The place is gorgeous. The food is amazing and the facilities are 5-star. This place is just what my parents need.

I am so happy and relieved that my husband has been able to come to Glenburnie Lodge as it just feels like a welcome home from home. The thought that has been put into everything, dignity and care for patients and family first and foremost. All staff are so caring and thoughtful, my husband has not
looked better than he does for a long time. The meals and cake etc are absolutely superb. We are blessed to have found such a caring home/community.

Glenburnie Lodge surpassed all of our expectations. My dad is looked after so well with dignity and expertise. Glenburnie is such a happy and relaxed place, I just loved spending time here with my dad and the staff. The food is incredible and my dad is looking the best he's looked in a while. We cannot
fault it here and we are so blessed to have found it for Dad. Thank you.

Jacqui Orrells

Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2022

In 2022 Jacqui became Managing Director of Glenburnie Lodge, the person responsible for co-ordinating the various teams that would build and then run the new home, which opened in July 2024.


She started her career as a learning disability nurse and after gaining experience working with adults with challenging behaviour, Jacqui held leading roles in the South Wales and then National Autistic Society before moving into the care home sector in 2000.


Over the next two decades, Jacqui gained extensive experience overseeing supported and residential care with various leading providers and in 2016 was appointed South Wales area director for a large care home group, where she was responsible for 14 homes.
