Selwood House Care Home

Since her arrival, my mother, who suffers from mid-stage Alzheimer's, has received nothing but excellent care from the wonderful staff at Selwood House. They are incredibly kind, cheerful, endlessly patient and thoroughly professional. The environment is very comfortable and well-designed, with beautiful gardens. My mother enjoys regular access to these gardens and daily stimulating, fun activities are organised and thoughtfully tailored to the abilities of the group. My mother particularly enjoys the quizzes and singing sessions, as well as being pampered at the in-house salon! The lovely private dining suite has proved extremely useful for large family visits and the quality of food and service is, as always, reassuringly high. I would have no hesitation in recommending Selwood House to your loved one.

The staff are also very welcoming and accommodating. A real pleasure to visit!

I got to the stage where my mother had to be put into a care home. We searched for a care home and I think we found the perfect one in Sellwood House. They were and still are very helpful, they take really good care of my mum and they've made the whole process so smooth. They keep her very busy and it's just a lovely place for her to stay. I would honestly give everything a 10 out of 10.

The staff are second to none although caring for residents with various problems, they are always smiling. A very happy caring home which I cannot recommend highly enough.

The weekly trips out and daily indoor activities have been great fun for my father, keeping him entertained and stimulated sufficiently for his stage of dementia. I’ve been regularly updated on his care and all staff have made me feel welcome when I come to visit. I would thoroughly recommend this care home.
