A new setting, situated in Charlton Down near Dorchester, the home specialises in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, and can accommodate up to eighty-four people.

Every corner of the home has been carefully designed to promote a positive lifestyle for residents. With state-of-the-art facilities to cater to various care needs, the home also offers plenty of amenities to ensure residents continue to enjoy each day. From a visit to the pub, cinema or hair and beauty salon to spending time with friends and visitors in the bistro café, Selwood House is a fantastic setting to begin the next chapter of life.

Selwood House has a dedicated well-being team on hand to get to know residents' hobbies and interests to support them to continue their interests. The team also work hard to build connections with the local community, making the care home a welcoming hub for local community groups.

The care for my father has been fantastic. All staff have taken the time to get to know him and make him feel at home. The food is excellent, and the option to book a private dining area for family get-togethers has worked really well.
The weekly trips out and daily indoor activities have been great
fun for my father, keeping him entertained and stimulated sufficiently for his stage of dementia. I’ve been regularly updated on his care and all staff have made me feel welcome when I come to visit. I would thoroughly recommend this care home.
