From the moment you walk in, it's welcoming warm friendly staff make both visitors and residents feel at home.
My lovely Mum has settled in here right from day 1, ( she has been here for 10 months now ) she's very happy and all of the staff are excellent, caring, and they always have a smile and time to chat. Giving us such a peace of mind and the best care for Mum that we could ask for.
Very Grateful for a fab team.
Well done everyone. Xx
Thank you for your lovely feedback. Warm wishes, Lianne
I am very happy to provide a very positive review of Peverel Green Care Home. My aunt has been a resident for just over a year and she sadly passed away this week. During the time that she was a resident, we always found the home clean and tidy, and the staff friendly and attentive. We have been impressed with the facilities and the activities provided for the residents which we know my aunt used to enjoy. In particular, for instance, we were able to celebrate birthdays in a private space at the home which we enjoyed. Most importantly, we feel that the care provided by the nursing staff was always provided with respect and consideration, and we always felt that my aunt was looked after with care and professionalism. We would certainly recommend this home as an excellent place to provide care for elderly residents.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I will pass on your kind words to the team, they mean a lot. Warm wishes, Lianne
Staff are always extremely kind and caring. Very attentive and genuinely interested in my nan. Happiest she has been for a long time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. I'm so pleased to hear your nan is happy. Best wishes, Lianne
I do not feel his needs were understood nor supported.
It has taken me this long since his death in September to be able to write this review.
Only a couple of staff showed him kindness and compassion. Others rolled their eyes at him, did not know what medication he was on and did not know how to help him with his physiotherapy. All this for someone who was dying from untreated urosepsis and possible dementia.
The standard of care was shocking. Unhygienic rooming standards were often discovered by my family and reported to the home itself.
In the last few months of his life, he experienced a complete lack of care from an institution supposedly awarded for its care standards. I would not want for anyone to suffer the way did in this home.
We value all feedback and have clear processes in place to address any concerns that are brought to our attention. We have made contact with you to discuss, and address any issues through this process.
Since joining Peverel Green in September 24, we have felt supported and very much listened to, to the point that changes were made to the setup of upstairs to reduce the stress that was being observed. The care and support given to both residents, relatives and those connected is exceptional.
Thank you for your kind words. Best wishes, Lianne
Wife has been in for 3 weeks and the care and attention has been outstanding. Excellent five-star care home in wonderful surroundings.
Thank you for your lovely review. I am pleased your wife has settled well and that my team has been able to provide the care and attention she deserves. Warm wishes, Lianne
Such a beautiful care home with clean and modern facilities but best of all is the staff are always so friendly and welcoming with smiles on their faces. You really feel part of a big family. The care, concern and compassion they have shown to my father is just wonderful and I always leave the home knowing he is being properly looked after and I could not have found a nicer place for him to see out his last days in. Thank you all.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our home, it is our pleasure to care for your father. Best wishes, Lianne
Professional staff
Good signs of interaction with residents and as I arrived a group of residents were playing games I. The reception and encouraged to move , lots of laughter
I was escorted to see the resident and pleasantly surprised to see lots of staff all
Who were friendly and offered me a cup of tea
Everywhere was bright and cheerful and people were being encouraged to eat by themselves being comforted where necessary and being fed where necessary
I truly hope this was not a one off - based on what I saw I would not hesitate in recommending
I have visited various care homes over the last three years - this is by far the BEST I have seen
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for sharing your experience. These are the high standards we aim to achieve every day as the other reviews we have received will show. We do our utmost to make Peverel Green a happy place for both residents and their visitors. Thank you again for such kind words. Lianne x
On arrival the staff are always very welcoming, happy and cheerful. They give a wonderful first impression when you come in. I visit my wife mostly daily or every other, and she's well cared for. If she needs help, they come in and there's no fuss. Generally it's a happy experience when I visit. The staff are cheery and helpful. My wife isn't able to get involved in the activities so it's not something I wish to review.
Peveral Green is a truly outstanding care home that offers exceptional care and support for both residents and their families. My mum has been living here for some time now, and I can honestly say she feels completely safe and secure-a feeling that has brought us immense peace of mind. She has formed genuine, warm relationships with the carers and staff, who treat her with kindness, respect, and dignity every day.
The care team is compassionate, professional, and always takes time to understand each resident as an individual. They go above and beyond to create a positive, nurturing environment. The facilities are excellent-clean, modern, and designed with residents' comfort in mind. There is also a wide variety of activities on offer, which keeps everyone engaged and entertained.
One of the real highlights is the beautiful garden space. It's large, peaceful, and immaculately maintained-a perfect place for residents to relax or take a gentle stroll.
Thank you for your lovely message. I'm so pleased to hear that your mum feels completely safe and secure and it's wonderful to know this also brings you peace of mind. I'll be sure to share your kind words with the team at Peverel Green, as I know they will be absolutely delighted. Best Wishes
Peveral Green Care Home is light, bright, clean and spacious with a beautiful, well kept large garden with grassed and paved areas and ample outdoor seating areas. The basic care of all residents is good overall, although sometimes care of individual residents and attention to detail could be improved. Retention of good staff should be a priority and staffing levels increased overall. Whilst weekly activity schedules look interesting initially, my experience is that quite often they don't actually happen or if they do, are often not accessible to the majority of residents. Occasionally small groups of residents are invited to get together with staff to reminisce memories and share stories about their lives which I think is a really positive and stimulating experience for them. Residents are also encouraged to sit together for mealtimes which is really positive for them and their individual dietary needs are always met.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your feedback. Recruitment and retention of good quality, caring staff is always a priority in care homes but does sometimes present challenges. Our home actually has a very strong retention rate, with many permanent staff having been...
Mum had been living on her own for almost 2 years, eating badly, no social interaction and becoming increasingly unwell to the point her physical health hit rock bottom and she needed care. Peverel Green to the rescue! They have restored her physical and mental health to amazing levels. All the staff, from carers to cleaners, have been so friendly and caring. They have tempted her to eat again, to socialise and become our mum again. Thank you.
We're so pleased we could help! It is our pleasure to care for your mum. Best wishes
My mother was settled in well after living independently until she was 90 years old. The care home staff have been loving and welcoming and have helped settle her in. Particular praise should be given to the events coordinator and the lady who oversees meals and drinks. The home is clean and the rooms are lovely, with an outdoor space. Just what my mum needed. Monthly fees change which makes managing challenging.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. I will pass on your kind words to the team.
Moving our mother to Peverel Green was the best decision we made. The staff understand our mother and care for her accordingly. The food is excellent, and she really enjoys the roasts! She doesn't always take in the choices placed before her, so the staff have provided a pictorial menu, but she loves mushrooms, onions, and garlic the chef has been adding there. I have chosen to tick the boxes as excellent because Peverel Green is very good across the board of care.
We are pleased we can support your mothers's care. Thank you for your review. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
An excellent place to be when life is coming to an end, exceptionally clean, extremely modern, lovely decor, great staff who are very friendly and committed to their work. All very relaxing and professionally organised, well done to all the managers and staff. Patients well cared for with 5-star hotel meals.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As we provide care at all stages of life and for varying needs, it is important to us that we are consistent in our approach and that the high standards of care, environment and food are always maintained. Warm regards, Home Manager
It was a difficult decision to move my Mother to a care home but I am so glad we chose Peverel Green. It is a beautiful purpose-built home but it is the people that count and all the staff, whatever their roles, were excellent. Mother was treated with such kindness, dignity, respect, and professionalism. In her final days, this was extended to us as a family. They looked after us so well and with compassion. Thank you.
Thank you for your thoughtful words. We're happy that you chose Peverel Green Care Home!
The staff were very kind and treated my Mother with dignity. They were also particularly kind to the family in her passing.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Warmest regards.
My father spent the last two months of his life at Peverel Green and was treated with great kindness, care and respect. All the staff were amazing and felt more like friends than carers. He was incredibly well looked after and the attention to his needs was second to none. The chef/cook spent a great deal of time preparing specific meals for him, especially when eating became difficult. I cannot fault the overall experience and just wish he'd had longer with you.
Hello, Thank you for your review. We're truly grateful for your kind words and are honoured to have cared for your father.
There is always someone to talk to and reassure me, even a shoulder to cry on!
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad to support you both!
The staff at Peverel Green are outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have made a very difficult time that bit easier for our family. I cannot praise them highly enough! The facilities are excellent and my mum enjoyed all meals. The home is spotless, bright and very welcoming. Overall, a fantastic care home. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. We will pass on your kind words about our staff to those at Peverel Green. We are so pleased to hear your mum is enjoying the meals and that you are pleased with her care in our home. Best Wishes.
