Hillside Court supports adults living with complex needs related to mental health, neurological, and physical health conditions.

Located in Beeston, Leeds, the home has 41 en-suite bedrooms across four small, nurse-led units - each with its own kitchen, dining room, lounge, and quiet space - helping people feel connected in smaller, community-based settings.

Alongside unit spaces, residents have access to communal facilities including an activities hub, therapy room, beauty salon, multi-faith space, visitor suite, and landscaped gardens - supporting wellbeing and social connection.

Each unit reflects a distinct care approach.

Horsforth Unit supports adults with a primary mental health diagnosis or complex mental health needs arising from a brain injury.

Middleton Unit supports adults with a primary dementia diagnosis, and one or more secondary mental or physical health diagnosis, and present with complex behaviours of concern.

Roundhay Unit is a male-only setting for people with a primary mental health diagnosis or complex mental health needs arising from a neuro-disability who display behaviours of concern - reducing risk while encouraging social and community engagement.

Woodhouse Unit supports adults with one or more physical disabilities and/or physical health needs arising from neurological disorders, such as MS and MND, and requires care for clinical interventions such as PEGs, tracheostomies, and ventilators.

The nurse-led team includes general and mental health nurses, therapists, and care staff trained in positive behaviour support.

People are supported to shape their care plans and daily routines based on what matters most - whether that’s building independence, reconnecting with the community, or enjoying meaningful activities.

My sister is well taken care of in here by the staff they do a brilliant job. They look after my sister and involve her in activities and outings. They keep me updated every couple of months on her condition. They also let me know her mood pre-visit.

Visiting my friend who suffers with dementia on a monthly basis it is a great comfort to see how happy he is and more importantly safe at Hillside.
The staff on his unit simply are amazing people, whilst he no longer recognises who people are there is still a spark in his eye and his smile lights up
a room when staff attend to him, the love, care and compassion shown really is commendable. Thank you, you really are special people doing what you do.

Visited mum on Xmas Eve and to our surprise they were just starting a Xmas party featuring a live lady singer, who sang all the old fav ourites and popular Xmas songs resulting in all service users/staff/visitors, up on their feet having a wonderful time. It is the first time in a long time I have seen
Mum so animated and happy. It truly made her Xmas. Thank you to everyone involved x

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.616)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.616) out of 10 for Hillside Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Hillside Court is calculated as follows: ( (35 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 35 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.616 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hillside Court is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.2 = 0.366
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
