Each unit reflects a distinct care approach.
Horsforth Unit supports adults with complex physical health needs that require a high level of nursing input, observation, and monitoring for a primary physical disability or neurological diagnosis, such as brain injury, presenting with predominant physical health needs.
Middleton Unit supports adults with a severe cognitive impairment and/or dementia diagnosis, who present with complex behaviours of concern beyond the scope of traditional care providers.
Roundhay Unit and Woodhouse Unit aren't open yet, and will be developed in partnership with stakeholders and shaped by local demand.
The nurse-led team includes general and mental health nurses, therapists, and care staff trained in positive behaviour support.
People are supported to shape their care plans and daily routines based on what matters most - whether that’s building independence, reconnecting with the community, or enjoying meaningful activities.

My sister is well taken care of in here by the staff they do a brilliant job. They look after my sister and involve her in activities and outings. They keep me updated every couple of months on her condition. They also let me know her mood pre-visit.
