I feel that my wife is in an excellent home and receiving the best level of care and attention. All the staff are very supportive: from the housekeeping staff to the senior management. Not just supportive of my wife's needs but of me and our family. The rooms are spacious, full of light and high quality furnishings. The facilities available to my wife are great: hair, spa, podiatry, cinema room, bistro/cafe. Thoughtful outings and activities are organised every week. The one to one care and time that the staff have for every resident is excellent. While I very much miss having my wife at home with me, given her diagnosis of Lewy body Dementia, it had become impossible to look after her safely at home. Waterhaven made this decision easier for me, as I was reassured of the care and love that would be extended to my wife. I am able to visit whenever I want and enjoy time with my wife, knowing that she is more peaceful and safe there.
Thank you for your kind and heartfelt review. We are honoured to care for your wife and delighted to hear that both she and your family feel supported by our team.
We understand how difficult this journey can be, and we're grateful for the trust you place in us. Your lovely comments will be...
The level of care and attention they have shown in helping our mum settle in has been exceptional. Her room is spacious, bright, and beautifully furnished, and the facilities throughout are immaculate, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed.
There is a wonderful range of stimulating and engaging activities, and everything is included, from hair and spa treatments to podiatry, food, and drinks.
Most importantly, every member of staff is genuinely caring, compassionate, and attentive. We truly feel our mum is being looked after with kindness and dignity every day.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We understand how difficult the decision to find care for a loved one can be, and we're delighted that we could provide support and reassurance throughout the process.
We are so pleased that your mum has settled in well and is enjoying her surroundings,...
Waterhaven provides a truly outstanding care at every level. The environment created by the decor and facilities is is of the highest standard, The care and compassion is second to none. I truly believe that if it hadn't been for the quality and loving care my husband received from all the staff when he was so ill for a very prolonged time this winter, he would not be with us today. Waterhaven Place also comes into it's own for the supporting structure, philosophy and compassion it provides for the resident's families. Watwerhaven IS A FAMILY for us all. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your lovely review.

Waterhaven is a beautiful care home, well laid out and wonderfully decorated, the staff are all fantastic, kind and caring. They do so many different things for the residents like days out and have numerous people coming in to do different things eg bands, singing, therapy pets and do so many things for the families of the residents as well. Overall is an amazing care home.
Creating a warm, happy, and engaging...
I have spent 3 weeks in respite care. I loved it.The company was great, my only issues were safety in the shower - I felt worried I would fall so didn't shower every day. I would have liked a full length mirror. The activity schedule was fantastic and I loved taking part in all of it. The birthday celebrations they arranged for me were wonderful.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed your three weeks with us and that you felt part of such great company. It's especially wonderful to know how much you appreciated the activity programme and that the birthday celebrations made your stay...
While recovering from two operations the staff at the Waterhaven couldn't have been more kind or helpful. The food and activities available are excellent. I would recommend the home to anybody that needed assistance.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Were delighted to hear that our team was able to support you during your recovery and that you enjoyed our food and activities. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and were so pleased we could make your stay comfortable and positive.
I recently spent a few days at Waterhaven Place in Chichester to convalesce following an operation. The warmth, care and attention I received from every member of staff at the Care Home was first-class. To feel safe and supported in such beautiful surroundings meant so much to me and certainly helped in my recovery.

The range of activities were a great advantage for Mum who loves social interaction and keeping busy. It was Mum's birthday while she was there and the fuss they made with a special cake and music performance especially for her was just wonderful.
The food was fantastic with an excellent choice offered at every meal- as visitors we also enjoyed various food and drink options with Mum.
The whole ethos of the Home is excellent encouraging family and friends to visit as 'guests' of the resident which is so important so that they feel in some control rather than losing their independence completely.
Mum will definitely return for respite in the near future.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. Were delighted your mum enjoyed her stay and that her birthday celebrations made it extra special. Its wonderful to hear you all felt so welcome and enjoyed the food and activities. We look forward to welcoming your mum back again soon.
My mum first moved in to Waterhaven place in November 25 with mixed dementia. She was made to feel very relaxed and welcome and safe straight away and settled in really quickly. She is always telling me how lovely the staff are and that they cant do enough for me. We are thrilled with the care she is given, there is a full array of activities that she really enjoys. She now has a better social life than we do, going on fantastic trips and having her hair and nails done in the salon in Waterhaven every week. We go every other day to visit her and it is always spotlessly clean, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and my mum absolutely adores the staff as we do. The difference in my mum is incredible since she has moved in with the care given. Her paranoia has completely gone as she feels so relaxed and happy and safe there. As a family member of a resident, I cant emphasise enough how much of a relief it is to know how safe, happy and loved she is at Waterhaven. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Our team takes great pride in creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment, and your kind words mean the world to us. We're thrilled to hear the difference in your mum's wellbeing and that you feel reassured knowing she's safe, happy, and loved.
If I ever had to recommend a care home to anyone it will definitely always be waterhaven place
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your mum's stay with us helped her on the road to recovery, and that she's enjoying our community exercise classes. It's wonderful to know our team made a positive difference, and we appreciate your recommendation.
Such a warm loving caring place, my mum has never been so well cared for, even at home., the range of activities on offer has something for everyone of all abilities. The care shown by all members of staff is next level, nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're delighted you feel your mum is so well cared for and enjoying the activities on offer. Our team always strives to provide the highest level of care, and your kind words mean a great deal to us.
After 5 years caring for my wife, who has Vascular Dementia, I was becoming quite stressed and my GP referred me to the NHS specialist responsible for the wellbeing of unpaid Carers. Her immediate advice was that I needed a break and she recommended that I should arrange for my wife to have 2 weeks of respite care at Waterhaven Place. After a meeting with the Manager and a guided tour I realised how nice the people and the environment are and that it would be very suitable for my wife. I visited her several times during the 2 weeks of respite care - she was very settled and clearly being looked after very well. When she returned home she was noticeably less anxious and more talkative. However, as the Cares had looked after her so well, she did expect me to do more ! This is not a problem, because I now realise that I can continue caring for her as long as she has regular breaks at Waterhaven Place.
Thank you for your lovely review and for sharing your experience. Were so pleased to hear that your wife felt settled and well cared for during her respite stay, and that you were able to have a much-needed break. Its especially encouraging to know she returned home feeling calmer and more...
After a difficult experience at another care home we were recommended to see this new home in Chichester and, as a result, moved our 93 year old uncle who has dementia and our 90 year old aunt to Waterhaven at the beginning of September. There has been a significant improvement in their health, their enjoyment of life and their contentment which is all due to the ethos and quality of care they are receiving. The staff are very professional and caring, and there is always a warm welcome for visitors. We are delighted with the quality of care and have no hesitation in recommending Waterhaven in Chichester.
Thank you for your kind feedback. Were delighted to hear how well your uncle and aunt have settled at Waterhaven and that youve seen such a positive improvement in their wellbeing. Our team truly values providing warm, professional care, and your comments mean a great deal to them. Thank you for your trust and recommendation.
I was initially impressed by the standard and cleanliness of Waterhaven, admittedly it is newly built. The staff were very polite, professional and helpful. The home services and support satisfied all aspects of my mother's needs; the respite care enabled me to fully relax whilst on my holiday. My mother settled in and made friends. The staff achieve the correct balance between gentle encouragement to participate versus respecting the resident's wishes. The outing activities are varied and well organised. Overall, my mother enjoyed her stay and was made very comfortable by the caring staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. Were delighted to hear that your mother enjoyed her stay with us and that you were able to fully relax during your time away. Its wonderful to know that she settled in well, made friends, and felt supported by our team.
I have some experience of care homes as I had the sad task of finding one for my late father, and we ended up with real duds. I was braced for being disappointed by Waterhaven, where my mother is enjoying respite care. It is in a different zone from the other care homes we tried. The facilities are good, the food is absolutely excellent (and that really lifts the spirits). What makes this place so special however is the staff. Every member of staff is positive, active, tireless and professional. Nobody has a magic wand, of course, but they do subscribe to the notion that nothing is too much trouble. My mum wants to get home, but the whole family knows that she could not be in a better place.
Thank you very much for such wonderful words Andrew. It truly has been so special to be able to support mum in the time that we have so far. We're a very proud team to read the beautiful words you have put - it is our pleasure to have gotten to know you and mum so well.
I spent two weeks at Waterhaven Place for respite care, after hip replacement surgery, and I could not have wished for better care. All of the staff there were friendly, helpful and could never do enough for you. Every need was catered for, the amenities were marvellous, everywhere was spotlessly clean, the food was excellent and lots of entertaining activities were laid on. Whilst I was there, I witnessed the way dementia patients were treated with incredible kindness, compassion, patience and understanding. All in all, it was a very nice experience.
Thank you so much Alec, for such a wonderful review! I speak on behalf of the team when I say what a genuine pleasure it was to have supported you during your stay. We are all wishing you the very best of luck for continued recovery, and we hope to see you at our community events soon! Take care
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful care and for making me better. I shall miss you all - the friendliness and companionship.
Thank you for the 5 star review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and we miss you too.
Friendly, helpful staff. Reassured by the fact that staff are always on hand and can ring my bell if I need anything. It made me feel safe and secure. Lots of activities and things to join in with, and beauty treatments to enjoy. Visitors are always welcome and can stay for meals. Excellent choice of food and always more available. I have enjoyed the exercises; they are good fun. Would recommend always.
Thank you for the positive feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to you returning in the future.
I cannot praise the staff at Waterhaven Place enough. My husband has been a resident there for the past 4 weeks. Their care goes even above the call of duty.
Thank you so much for this lovely review! Our team are very passionate about giving the very best of care to the residents here at Waterhaven Place and we hope that reviews such as this will give other families the confidence to seek care for their loved ones when they are in need.
