After having a new hip replacement I decided on having respite care, as I live alone & have no family - I was taken by my friend & Attorney to look at a care home, after talking to a member of management I was told I could go to sister home Waterhaven Place in Chichester, I have 3 weeks for the price of 2, which I accepted. The first week I was ill & could not eat, it seems I had a reaction to the anaesthetic I was given at the hospital, so a member of senior staff at Waterhaven arranged for me to have a visit from the Doctor. After the first week I started to recover & managed to eat, the food was excellent throughout my stay. At the end of my 3 weeks I decided to pay for an extra week as I was not walking as well as I had hoped for, all members of staff were kind & thoughtful & activities were good. I enjoyed my stay & would recommend you to my friends

The best care home by far that I have ever experienced having looked round several when trying to find suitable facilities for my stepmother. It is modern, clean, beautifully furnished and very light and bright. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff and management really care and make sure the experience they give to their clients and their family/friends is superb. The "in house" amenities - hair dresser, masseuse, nails, gym, television lounge, newspapers, wine etc leaves clients with everything they need. Activities well thought through and very varied to cater for all tastes and levels of ability. All in all a wonderful care home.

More specifically, Mum's care since she returned from hip surgery at the hospital has been first class. Absolutely a fantastic place. Mum & dad are so at home here. Everyone is completely amazing, nothing is too much trouble. They have made great friends. It's like a 5* hotel.

Overall since my brother became a resident in February and 2026 and my mother in August 2026, we have been totally reassured by the level of carers and management. The whole ethos of Portsdown View is kindness and joy and a professional attitude to the care of the residents. The events bring together the residents and relatives in a way that makes visit to the home a pleasure and not a chore. Love this place.

My dad has been at Waterhaven for a few months now and we are very happy with the care and support he receives. It is such a difficult decision for a parent to move into a care home but it is honestly the best decision he and our family have made. His social life is better than mine and I'm lucky to catch him in sometimes as he is so busy. My dad has dementia so we also as a family feel reassured that he is safe in a very caring environment. Waterhaven also encourage as much interaction with the residents family as possible which is great as we are a close family and visit most days. I would recommend Waterhaven wholeheartedly

We have been delighted with dad's whole experience of life at Waterhaven. He has had a new lease of life and loves all the daily organised activities. The staff are excellent and so caring and nothing is too much trouble. The whole home is open and friendly and we feel welcome every time we visit. It has been such a positive move for dad.

The other Saturday at one days notice the management very kindly let my brother and his wife use the fine dining room for a family reunion meal. We cannot thank the kitchen staff and the serving staff enough. Their brilliant work made the whole event very special. 5 stars.

I could not be any happier with the care my husband received during his respite care at The Chase. Everything was brilliant from start to finish. The staff were kind, caring and attentive, I felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. The facilities were outstanding. Thank you to the whole team for making his stay so positive. I cannot speak highly enough about the chase and my stay there. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome, comfortable and completely respected. All the staff were wonderful, so kind and always so willing to help me. Lauren and Laura did everything possible for me, they even arranged a day out to the races for me, something I will never forget. The facilities were the very best - they even went out of their way to get me a gin + tonic, my favorite. I cannot recommend The Chase enough. Big extra thanks to Michelle.

Theresa actually moved in late July. My wife Helen chose Willowbrook as it was simply the best carehome around. While Theresa was there, she managed to get to the bistro and settled in ok. All of the staff were always fantastic. You could see that all the residents were looked after really well. Sadly, Theresa passed away on the 30th of August. Theresa could not have been in a better place. We cannot thank all at Willowbrook enough, especially those who supported us on that sad day.

The staff are all very friendly, they all know everyone by name and are professional. It feels more like a 5-star all-inclusive hotel than what you would typically think of as a care home.

Amazing care. Dad has felt at home and so welcomed by all the staff. We will miss everyone and can't thank you enough :)

I, and several others, visited our friend for lunch the other day. Many thanks for providing such a splendid meal and providing facilities to enable us to spend a very happy meet up with our colleague. What a great home. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. All the residents seemed friendly and happy in such a clean, warm atmosphere. Keep on doing what you're doing - great job!!

My grandmother has been living here for a while, she is really enjoying herself. The staff are very nice and I feel she is well looked after.

My sister has had serious health conditions this past month and the whole team has worked together to help her. The kitchen staff and the restraunt staff have gone above and beyond to cater to her needs to encourage her to eat & drink, nothing has been too much trouble for them. The staff who look after her medication and welfare are very supportive for residents with complex needs

Food was amazing, service was good food was delicious and presented well.
