My Mum has been at Portsdown View Since October 2024, first for respite and loved it so much became a permanent resident, My brother and I have no complaints at all. The staff, manager, cooks everyone are amazing. The events are really great. The care Mum receives is compassionate and excellent. The staff are welcoming to family & friends. outstanding x.

My mother recently spent a few weeks receiving respite care at Waterhaven. The care home is modern, bright, spacious and welcoming, with the very best of facilities. Her room was large and comfortable with its own small patio leading to the lovely gardens. The level of care provided by the staff was exceptional across all areas, and she really enjoyed the food which is of a very high standard..
I particularly liked how welcome family and friends are made to feel when visiting and how they are so happy to include us in their numerous activities.

If you need the facilities of a care home, then, in my opinion, you can do no better than choosing this one.

After visiting 9 care homes in and around the Swindon area, Willowbrook View to us was by far the best. It was comforting to know that my mum is going to receive the best affordable care, including all the happy helpful staff, lovely bistro, food, entertainment + activities, spotless rooms. My aunt has settled in very well here. The care and support she receives is excellent, the facilities are second to none and the staff are all friendly and professional without being over bearing. She is very happy here and we are very grateful to all those who help and support her and us.

My mum moved to Henbrook in January 2025. We have been extremely happy with the home. The standard of care is high, particularly for those with dementia. The staff are friendly and caring. There is a strong sense of community, which family members are encouraged to be part of. There is a good range of activities. Food is good, with different diets catered for. The facilities and furnishings are of a high standard. It looks more like a hotel and is a world apart from some more traditional care settings. I would strongly recommend Henbrook.

Mum has had the best of Care whilst at Henbrook, she arrived bed bound but they were able to support her to get moving again which was amazing. She thoroughly enjoyed everything about Henbrook, including the activities, the food and the lovely carers who really did care about her.
As a family we were made more than welcome.

Overall a most pleasant experience as shown in my ratings.

All day staff were excellent. Minority of night staff were good but others were very casual but a gew words of comfort would have been very welcome. Best care home I have ever been in (despite the high cost!!!)

Accomodation excellent but aircon in the bedrooms would be appreciated.

Your policy of 7 days + 6 nights is a niggle that could put off respite stayers and I can see no advantage to management.

Had a lovely time. Francis seems to be incredibly well looked after. Food very tasty, staff attentive and seem to really like working there. Afternoon in the cinema room was a brilliant touch. What a great place.

Originally my friend booked into Henbrook House for some respite care following treatment in hospital. A calm welcoming atmosphere and excellent food together with the wonderful facilities, impressed so much she decided to stay permanently. From the moment we contacted them, the staff have been amazingly helpful and very efficient in settling my friend in. Nothing is too much trouble and she feels safe, well looked after and happy.

My sister and I were looking for residential care for our mum and visited many care homes in the area. Henbrook House stood out because it feels more like a luxury hotel. All the staff are welcoming and the facilities are outstanding. Mum seems to have settled down to life in Henbrook and is enjoying the lovely food and all the entertainment. She also loves having her hair and nails done regularly. I'm very happy with mum's care and feel she is safe, happy and well looked after.
